I am so excited. My daughter just called and said she will take me and I have a daughter in Dallas who will give me a spot to rest my head. Her long time friend Damen said he would take me too. So now all I have to do is survive till March 19. This will be my first live concert. When do you buy tickets? How long in advance?

Sadly, I won’t be at that party afterall. When the euphoria of the concert schedule began to calm I took a look at the 2016 calendar and then I shrieked when I saw a worst case scenario. Las Vegas concert is on Good Friday, during the very busiest time of my entire work schedule with the Easter Vigil the very next day. I can’t go. Now I am considering the San Jose or San Diego concerts but it will be difficult since I knew going to Vegas would be cheaper and easier to maneuver for me.. Plus I wanted to meet the Flight Crew Maestro there. Now I just don’t know if I am going to be able to do this at all.

I just checked flights, Connie, and they are astronomical for that time period. Spring break and Easter, I guess. Or just too far out? Watch for deals from Alaska Air and Southwest. I’ll let you know if I find one.
My pipe dream is a triple header … Mesa, AZ, Las Vegas (of course!), and San Jose. The money is not here yet, but as I like to say, “I haven’t been to my mailbox yet!” (Last time I said that, there was a check for $888 in my box! Really!)

I have already called the venue, but of course the tickets are not available yet. Since it was so far away before the event, she suggested that I might call every month or so to check. I chuckled and said, ” I can tell your not familiar with them. I will probably be calling every day or so.” Barbara, hope we can meet, and also catch up with the others here. I am not happy either Nicolle–and I live in Toronto! Orilla is an hour or two away and the first week of February is very iffy weather wise! Whoever booked these dates for them did not consider that the weather can be quite awful the first week of February. That goes for the Buffalo concert, the Orilla one and even the Montreal one–although Montreal is less of a problem than Buffalo and Orilla.
who decides where they go? they have been to Toronto twice and out to Vancouver once. that was as close as they got to here.

Call the venue and/or your local PBS station. It appears that things are being handled differently at different venues. Some don’t even know Il Volo is booked there yet. Keep calling!

Am happy that they are coming back to Detroit. We have been very fortunate they always include Detroit in the tour schedule.
What an amazing tour this is !! So far I’m going to the Miami and Orlando concerts. I might also go to the Denver concert with my sister who lives in Boulder and from there hop on a short plane ride to Las Vegas !!! I’m hoping that it all comes together !!
I went to the venue closest to me and they say the tickets will only be sold through Ticket Master. I have never gotten tickets through them. Can someone tell me how you get the seats you want? How do you know when the seats go on sale? Anything else I should know??/ HELP!!!
The best way I buy my ticketmaster seats is to go to a store that sells the tickets. I went to my Walmart last month and picked out my seats and they print them right there! If you buy them on line, it’s not the best, they so call show you THEIR best seats. Good luck.
Although the tickets are being sold only through Ticket Master I would think the concert venue should know when the tickets go on sale. When they were at Freedom Hill in Detroit I called them every single day. I think the same person answered the phone everyday and probably got sick of hearing my voice . She finally told me when the sale date was.

It did give me several places–some of which said no first day sales! There is one place within a reasonable distance from my house. Now the next thing is to find out when the tickets go on sale! Thanks for your help, it is much appreciated.

It won’t be a good friday if I don’t have a job to come back to. I can’t retire for 5 years yet!. Actually its not Good Friday I am so worried about it’s the 8am rehearsal and the rest of Holy Saturday I can’t get out of!
All I can say is, for me, retirement IS all it’s cracked up to be. Having a blast! You’ll get there before you know it. In the meantime, we’ll miss you in Vegas.
I just got my tickets for Il Volo in Mesa. My daughter is going with me. Pretty spendy but it is a once in a lifetime for me and I have been dreaming about getting to go to a live concert ever since I first saw the guys on PBS. We will be in the orchrestra section.
