  1. Just checked it out and they are asking $155 per person for the meet and greets, which are before the concert. I have my concert tickets for Newark and Philadelphia. Will consider M&G.

    1. Michele – Please do more than consider it! Even as a “solo”, you will meet some lovely ladies while you wait for your turn to meet and greet! Ladies of kindred spirits! Do go and enjoy!

  2. Thank you so much for the info on the M & G tickets. We have tickets to the Nashville show and were disappointed when we asked about them since they had no information at the time we purchased concert tickets. We were able to meet Il Volo in Houston and Boston, and enjoyed it so much. They are so charming and polite.

    1. Dear Harrison504,
There are a bunch of us going to the Nashville concert. Sometime in the not-so-distant future, let us know if you would like to meet up with us….perhaps for dinner before the show. My seats are Row EE, Seats 22 & 23 (aisle seat). Maybe you are close by! I hope so!!!
      Helen

      1. I’m going to the Nashville concert tooooooooo !!! We all must meet up and chat or get a group photo or something !!!

      2. Helen, Thanks so much for your note. We are sitting close by in Row CC, seats 23 and 24 and one of them is an aisle seat! I would love to meet your group sometime and will check with my husband about dinner and let you know. I really enjoy all of the banter on the Flight Crew website and especially to know that I am not the only young at heart fan. (My grandchildren think I have lost it and my husband has been a really good sport about my interest in “the boys!”) My actual name is Brenda Hall and we live in Georgetown, Texas. We heard them live first in Houston, and were so disappointed that they didn’t make it to the heartland of the US last year so we just made a mini vacation out of it in Boston last year. It was not long after the bombing, and when they sang “The National Anthem”, it was one of the most emotional audiences I have ever witnessed during the presentation of it. Looking forward to meeting all of your group in Nashville! Brenda

      3. Helen,

Where will you be eating in Nashville? My husband and I would love to join you and your friends.

  3. Still no word about Saratoga, CA concert when the tickets go on sale or if there is a Meet and Greet. I’m crossing everything that needs to be crossed!

    1. Me, too, Connie!

Good to read your comments about The Mountain Winery in Saratoga, Elaine! Maybe we’ll get to see you there.

      ~ Jeanine D.

      1. Yes, maybe Jeanine. I am still deciding about Saratoga because I need to come up with a good excuse to see our guys back to back. What should I say to Mr. Tse?

      2. Hmmm…
Maybe that the mountain air combined with the music will make you the picture of health, energy, and joy, so you will be able to contribute to your family on a whole new plane after the back-to-back concerts! (; >)

I’m sure that’s true. Don’t know if that’s the kind of convincing that works with Mr. Tse. (; >)
However your concert season goes, I know you’ll have a wonderful time, Elaine!

        ~ Jeanine D.

      3. Elaine Tse,
Tell Mr. Tse that you have a golden opportunity to meet two fellow IL VOLO Flight Crew members and it just happens to be at the concert!

  4. I am so thrilled and excited!!!!! I just purchased 2 Meet & Greet tickets for Nashville!!!

All you Nashville ladies… I hope you got yours! If we meet for dinner as planned, we’ll have to go very early. Have to pick up the M&G tickets at Will Call 1 hour before the performance, which starts at 7:30. Details, details!!! I don’t care if I eat at 2:00, 3:00, 4:00, 5:00 ( you get the picture), I’M GOING TO MEET THE BOYS!!!!!
    Helen

    1. YEAH! Helen has M&G tickets and will finally get to see and meet and hug and kiss our guys…specially our GG! I am so happy and excited for you. YEAH!

    2. Helen, I am so excited for you and the other Nashville folks! No matter what you think They are going to be like…They are better!! Cant wait to hear that from you!

      1. LindaP

Happy for you LindaP. June 17 will be here before we know it. Enjoy the M&G.

    3. Helen,

I am so happy for you getting a M&G ticket to actually see the boys. I had just told my husband that you were so disappointed last year about not being able to see il Volo and that I was so glad that you were able to make it to Nashville to see them this year. Yay for you and Dolly!

  5. In all my delirium, I forgot to thank Kelly for that marvelous info about the M&Gs. You are one in a million, Kelly, and I am forever grateful to you!
    Helen

    1. Helen, we’re so happy you’re going to a concert and meeting the guys! But I can’t take credit. All the board wanted the information posted as soon as it came in. I just happened to already be here when we got the news. 😀

  6. This will be my very first concert. I did meet Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca at the MOA! And believe you me, They are worth every penny of the M&G price. Is it almost June yet?

  7. Congrats to everyone who has tickets and Meet and Greets!!! When you’re meeting The Boys, being swept off your feet, and having the time of your lives, remember all the rest of us back here and please take millions of pictures and videos and tell us all about it!! Unless you’re Ms. Crider who refuses to share with The Boys (Ignazio) with rest of us! 😉

Good luck to everyone who is still trying to get tickets!

  8. I am sooo happy for you, Helen (and everyone else). I remember how disappointed you were last year, but now you are making up for it and then some. Can’t wait to hear all about it.

    1. LeeLee,

Have you talked LindaS into coming to Nashville. Make it a little mini Vacation. Hope she gives in before all of the tickets are gone.

      1. Hi Jeanie, it’s a no go for Linda, which I absolutely understand. I’m sure there will be other opportunities. Thanks for asking!

  9. For those that have done a M&G how does it work? Did you have to wait a long time after the concert? Also, do they take you one at a time and how long do you get? I met them at a CD signing and I remember standing on that line my heart was beating out of my chest. I was sooo nervous…lol.

  10. To all you gals/guys, hurray you have your tickets and the Meet & Greet tickets…I am ‘over the moon’, as they say. Going to Milwaukee with my FB girlfriend and we are going to the M&G too. This is my very first time seeing these wonderful young men in the flesh…I hope I don’t faint away. ☺ They are so very special to all of us and touch our hearts deeply. We are hoping to meet up with some of our other FB Il Volovers at the concert!! Thank you all the Flight Crew for all your help and faithful news to share. xxoo ♥

  11. I want to thank Connie, Elaine, Marie, Michele, Linda P., Jeanie, Kelly, LeeLee, and all the rest of you sweet and kind ladies for your caring comments! Yes, I have waited a long time to get to a concert, and now the time is almost here!!!

As for you gals fainting…That is the farthest thing from my mind. Have never fainted in my life, and I don’t plan to start now!!! I’m not going to waste a precious second of awareness when I finally meet THE BOYS!!!! I just wish I could make a DVD of the event in my head so that I could play it over and over again! Maybe Dolly can take pictures. Could those of you who have been to M&Gs fill me in on the procedure?…Or does it vary from venue to venue? I would so appreciate your telling me anything I need to know. You can email me if you don’t want to answer here. helenbridg@gmail.com
    Helen

    1. I’m with you, Helen! Not missin’ a precious moment with Our Guys!! (; >)

I think the M&Gs vary. When I attended in October 2012 Seattle, we got to have our photo taken with The Boys, and then we were told how to obtain it through a web link in 3-5 days (through VIP Nation SMUG MUG). If we had more than one person in our party, we could have one person’s picture taken with the guys, then the next person could add in to the group picture and the first person could stay (thus getting two pictures if we were first). We were not allowed to take our own photos.

I was invited to attend the M&G after the show and had not gone through the regular protocol for those who purchased the VIP tickets, so that’s as much as I know.

      Oh, and a sweet moment…
When Piero came into the room where the M&G was, he was giving a piggy back ride to one of the young women around his age. I don’t know who she was, but how cute was that?! Guess I haven’t shared that with anyone here before.

Now ALL YOU PIERO LOVERS have even more to dream about!!! (; >)

      Big smiles,
      ~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway

      1. Thank you Ms. DuBois! You have just exponentially increased the probability of me having sweet dreams tonight!

      2. And dream I will! Oh, to be carried by Piero! Oh! My heart, my heart!

    2. You are welcome Helen. I know that you will totally enjoy the Concert and the Meet and Greet.

  12. Jeanine…Thank you so much for the info on pictures at M&G!! Do hope all is working out for you and your family to see Il Volo! Good luck!!
    Helen

  13. Does anyone know for sure whether the Meet & Greet is BEFORE the concert or AFTER the concert? The way that I am reading it is that you pick up your ticket an hour earlier than the concert and then the M&G is AFTER the concert.

The first post here read to me like the M&G is BEFORE the concert.

I just tried to call the number for questions. I could not hear what was being said but did understand that you had to leave a message and be called back. I did not leave a message.

So, has anyone actually talked to them about whether it is BEFORE or AFTER the concert? (Schermerhorn/Nashville)

    1. Jeanie:
According to Il Volo Mundial, the Meet & Greets are after the concerts, and an email will be sent to you a week before the concert, giving you details. Go to IV Mundial and scroll WAY down and you’ll see the announcement about Meet and Greets. Hope this helps!
      Helen

      1. Helen, now I am more confused than ever! The meet and greet tickets I got have a time on them. When I first went to look at them (without buying) the tickets said 7:39 on them, which I thought was strange because the concert here starts at eight. Then when I went back in to buy them the tickets I actually bought say 6:22 on them. Is that when the meet and greet is, or is that when you are supposed to pick up the tickets at the box office? I have never been to a meet and greet and have no clue how it works.

      2. Helen,
Thanks for your response. Like I said, that is the way that I read the info on the site for the M&G’s. But the first poster on this thread said it was before the Concert, which confused me, as I read the info as it was after the concert also and that is why I tried to call the number listed for questions for the M&G’s. I wonder if the first poster actually was in contact with the business doing the M&G’s for the Venue they are going to, and that is why they said that the M&G was before the Concert. It could be a different time for each Venue when they do the M&G’s, who knows. That poster’s comment is what confused me.

So far, we have not purchased the M&G tickets. At this point, I would say probably that we will not be going to the M&G.

I think it is kind of strange that they would make you pick up the M&G tickets an hour before and then have the M&G after the concert. What are you supposed to do for the hour or so before the concert starts? Just my opinion though, which counts for nothing in the end. lol

Again, Thanks Helen and I really am so happy for you that you get to see the Concert and meet them also.

      3. Penina,
I am not Helen, but all I can say is that maybe it is different for your Venue. Instead of worrying about it, either call your Venue and find out for sure when the M&G is being held or call where you purchased the M&G tickets from. I have to agree with you, the times do seem strange that you posted. For me personall, I would have to call somewhere and find out for sure. I am a person that wants her ducks all lined up in a row in advance though. lol

      4. Me too Jeanie! I just thought maybe someone would know. I bought the meet and greet tickets late Sat. night and did not think anyone would be at the office at that hour. I have every intention of calling them tomorrow morning! I guess I was just getting antsy in the meantime! I have never been to one of their M & Gs and the whole thing seems like an impossible dream!

      5. Jeeze, Penina, I meant personally not personall. I really need that Edit button, my fingers do not type what I think. I never catch my typing errors until after I hit that Post Comment button either. lol

      6. Nothing to worry about! We all do it sooner or later! Plus these arthritic fingers don’t always hit the keys you THINK they are hitting!

      7. The meet and greet is after the concert. You have to go early for them to make sure you have your ticket and then they give you inistructions where to sit after the concert. Then they take you to the area for the meet and greet. At last that’s what they did last year in Chicago.

    2. I had to smile. You are hoping the M&G is after so that Piero will be on stage? Hehehe… Btw I am planning on getting a M&G ticket too! I can hardly stand it!

  14. I just saw the news about Ignazio’s grandfather (Nonno). Gianluca’s message to him was so endearing.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, dear Ignazio.

    1. I got aisle seats in the second row!! I can’t quite believe it. The first and only other concert I went to we were very far back on the main floor. VERY far back! We could see them (sort of) but not close up, of course we could hear them. The venue did not have any aisles, so they did not come down into the audience, they did lean over and shake hands with people in the front. This time I am coming with a brand new iPod that takes video and I hope I can figure out how to use the thing before concert time!!

      1. How exciting, Penina!
I am totally happy-dancing for you! (If I had such seats, I could hardly contain myself! … Saratoga is yet to come, so we’ll see! 😉
Have fun this spring playing with your iPod video feature!

Happiness to all of you who are getting to go to concerts, whether your first or fourth, whether in the balcony, or front and center!

My first IL VOLO concert was at the Seattle Paramount on October 2, 2012 (2 days before Ignazio’s birthday and last day of their tour before they launched the tour with Barbra Streisand). We were in the balcony (second row), and while it wasn’t close for video or photos, I was totally enraptured. It just felt like every molecule of air was singing along with Piero, Gianluca, and Ignazio! I guess it really was like an angel choir; it was so encompassing!

And I thought headphones were good! (; >)

Those of you who aren’t making it to a concert this year, wishes that videos and photos will enrich each day and give you joy until the day you can attend an IL VOLO concert in person.

Celebrating our gratitude for the glory and beauty of IL VOLO!
        ~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway

      2. Oh Penina,

I am so very happy for you. You got great seats!

I ended up with front row center seats in 2012 also, our first Concert. Just lucked out that those seats opened up for sale and I was able to move up into them. I was so happy to be right up front for my first il Volo, Heartthrob Concert. I was just blown away and on such a natural High for so long. I just love, love, love those Boys and those Angelic Voices that they have. I can’t wait to see them for the third time.

  15. Oh Penina! I am so very excited for you. Second row on the aisle! Better find a way to test out this marvelous new IPod before the concert. I think I will join Jeanine and do a happy dance for you too!

      1. Penina,
Got to where you bought the I-Pod for help or find an Apple Store and hopefully they will be able to help you.

      2. There is a manual you can download to your iPod. I would rather download it to my computer so I can print it out. I will have to figure out how to do it. I don’t have any computer savvy younger generation living in the country to show me how to do it, so I will have to figure it out, trial by error by myself! But where there is a will there is a way, and I am determined to figure it out so I can use it at the concert!

      3. And, being a Mac and iPhone user, I can tell you that if you have an Apple Store within reach, they have a ton of “kids” working there whose job is to educate, answer your questions, and make it easy and fun for you.

Don’t mean to get off track here. If you want, you can reach me through my website, Compassion’s Doorway.

Looking forward to seeing your videos, Penina!
        ~ Jeanine D.

  16. Way back up on this page, Jeanne Thomas gave me some good info on M&Gs, and I just want to say THANK YOU so much, Jeanne!
    Helen

  17. My daughter and I just purchased meet and greet packages for Saratoga through concertmaps, but there seem to be other sites selling M&G separately from the concert tickets. I’m afraid of being scammed, considering the prices. My daughter had already bought 2 VIP tickets earlier today through Mountain Winery’s website–but without the M&G; so now the two of us have 4 tickets to the concert. We are afraid of getting rid of the non-M&G tickets, just in case the packages are a scam. We are really confused, and Im tired of researching it! If anyone else bought tickets at the Saratoga presale today–were you able to purchase a M&G too?

    1. Hi, Vicki,

Connie and I got M&G tickets for $270 each to Saratoga. I know that’s a lot of money, but it’s not a scam. It breaks down to the $115 for the best seats and $155 for the M&G portion.

I am actually hoping to get 4 more non-M&G seats near ours (which are C-1 and C-2) because we want to sit together with my sister and her husband and my parents (for their 60th weddining anniversary!).

If anyone has a way to help us get seats in section 1 nearby in the C row or in the B or D row in the #1-6 range, that would be so incredibly awesome.

If you like, you can contact me off-list by clicking on my name, which will go to my website, and then access the contact form.

Gerri will be at the show, too.
It would be nice to connect, especially since the doors open 2 hours before the concert starts.

Wishing you all the best in your decision-making, Vicki.
What a memorable time this will be!
      ~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway

  18. HAPPY HAPPY HAAPPPPPYYYYY! I have been doing a happy dance ALL day long! People in my office knew I was ….a bit odd being a pirate and all but now they are without a doubt certain that I am certifiably crazy….in the nicest possible way!
Jeanine scored two AMAZING tickets AISLE seats no less! Plus MEET & GREETS! I have said all along I wanted to be breathing the same air that our darling Italians are but at no time did I ever think I would be soooo close to that airspace!. NOw I am thinking there is going to be some SKIN contact …
    * oh be still my beating heart*!!!

I was so disappointed last year and now….Oh dear Lord just keep me alive a bit longer to have PIero smile at me. Whoooaaaaaa its time for another HAPPY DANCE!
( then Its back to plotting how I can shanghai Piero) YEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWW!

    Connie aka PIratesorka

    1. Not being a pirate, I’ll have no part of the shanghai plot,
but I’m definitely all about the happy dancing!! 😉

Now… keep those prayers a-comin’ for us to be able to get my parents and sister and her husband right nearby our seats!

I love your wonderful enthusiasm, Connie! We are going to have a BLAST of a good time!

      Woo hoo!
      ~ Jeanine D.

  19. I’m so excited to see them in New Jersey this weekend. They are in Buffalo, 30 minutes from me, but I have my spring chorus concert and it wouldn’t be good if their chorus teacher was “sick”! I’m thinking about getting the M&G tickets. It’s a lot of money, but I just adore their voices. I’m also afraid if I don’t meet them now, they might become even bigger, split up and I’ll never have the chance again.
