I have to admit I was worried when they were bouncing back and forth from first to second place and back to first, etc. And then suddenly the votes started pouring in pushing them into first place where they stayed. The spread between Il Volo and the second place nominee was 324,263 votes at midnight, EST, Dec 5. The polls still did not close so I kept voting for another 45 minutes or so. When I stopped the spread was 329,007 votes. It was absolutely amazing! I am so happy for Ignazio. and Gianluca and Piero!
Does anyone know the date of the awards presentation? I hope it
will televised on a channel to which we all have access.
Mary, this was just a “fan popularity” poll. There is no “award” to be given, other than the guys knowing that they won in that category, and that a lot of their loving fans voted for them.
They WON and they more then deserved this award and any future awards.They are the very best vocalists in the world and Ilvolovers are the very best fans in the world !! Good job everyone!! Il Volo Forever !!

Joanie if you remember that is exactly what the woman on the panel of the prorgram where they were dancing said as she voted number 10 for them she said “Il Volo forever”. I could have reached through the computer & given her a hug. She was totally for them

the many hours again to vote for these beautiful young
men. Thanks to all the fans who devoted many hours
to Il Volo. That was a nice, healthy margin by which
to win and I am glad we all could have a little part in
keeping them at the top. I look forward to seeing
them win many more awards and thanks to them for
their time spent to practice and record the songs for
us to play back in our cars and homes. They are
just the most talented young men whether performing,
being interviewed, giving their talent for fund raisers,
spending time with their families or just giving a hug
to someone they meet. My wish and dream is that
I could see them live in concert. Maybe one day
they will come close enough for me to attend.
And maybe also a meet & greet. Is that too much
to ask? Maybe not.
So happy for our beautiful guys. It was pretty c!owe there for a while. They even overtook us a few times. However, we all stood out grounds and voted our hearts out for our beloved IL VOLO. I, too, am very happy that our meeger efforts to show our guys how much we love them, was a success in a big way. Even though there is no award to display among all the others, or of those yet to come, I hope that in some small way we’ve touched their hearts just as they touch ours. You deserve it guys. Ignazio tweeted that we are special to them, now they know how special they are to us. How many others can boast of receiving more than 4 million votes in a contest that required only some of our time, and all of our love. We would give you the world guys, if it were ours to give, but truth is, you already have much of it. The rest of it will come if you just stay who you are! Blessings.
NOTE: Several of us are heart broken because we are having difficulty in replaying our videos of the Porta a Porta show without the buffering. I have been checking out that link anywhere, and everywhere I could find it with no success of an un-buffered showing; until today! I went to RAI 1 Porta a Porta and down to the picture of that broadcast. Clicked on it, and , would you believe, a clear,complete video! FINALLY!! Try it!
