In Case You Missed It ~~ Still Water

reporter_aeroporto_megacityHey Everyone!

We know that when Ignazio is not working, he guards his privacy very closely.  On social media–at least–he goes very still.  Well, there is a saying that I think fits Ignazio very well:

“Still waters run deep.”

Now, I don’t know who said that–though I could probably find out if you give me a minute.  But, I think they are absolutely right.  Just because a person is quiet, doesn’t mean they don’t have a lot to say.  I think Ignazio’s recent interview proves that.

The link to the interview is provided below, but enjoy some other deep thoughts from Ignazio as well–in case you missed them.

Love and respect music!! Whatever genre it is!! Because once you find out how much it’s nice music feed will find a new world to discover!”

  1. Kelly, thank you for posting about Ignazio. I wish he would tweet more, but I understand his need for privacy. He does make some profound statements, one more thing to love about him…. Love the photos too, I never get enough of looking at his gorgeous face.

  2. I find it so interesting that the man who is the biggest extrovert in the group is also the most private. I know this must be a shock to some of you but I, your humble pirate, is very much an extrovert. But once I come home….I am a quiet homebody. I doubt if Ignazio is very quiet but I certainly can appreciate his need for privacy.

  3. And about Gianluca´s birthday? Are you planning to do something? Is so quiet about it. I hope you don´t forget it.

  4. This interview with Ignazio was probably most interesting to me because I learned so much about Ignazio that I never knew before… Where Gianluca wears his heart on his sleeve so to speak and shares so much with his fans and Piero is very vocal about who he is and both enjoy sharing family and stories with us.. Ignazio has always been more quiet about his personal life and thoughts…

I have always felt the Ignazio we see on stage is not the same Ignazio in his personal life… We think of him as the fun guy, the clown on stage, always making us laugh and thrilling the audience with his cute antics… But in my heart, I have always thought behind the smile of a clown there is a sad heart… Ignazio has given us a reality check… This young man has endured heartache and rejection from his city and sometimes his peers… It hurts him deeply… He has become famous around the world and yet the place he calls home seems not to realize the caring, thoughtful international super star that would love to promote the city he comes from… He talked about awards from Pescara and Naro but not in Marsala… This brings sadness to his heart… He talked about the politics and hope for change… He is a very sensitive person and this interviewed showed that side of him and he was not holding back … He decided to reveal who Ignazio Boschetto truly is and he did with with class and decorum… That MUNY FAN (Gianlucas words to describe Ignazio in an interview) we see on stage is a man with a big heart and sensitive soul… His beauty shines much deeper than his big smile and dancing eyes… His beauty within shines as brightly as the star that he is …

Thank you Ignazio for introducing us your fans, to the real Ignazio … We love you because you give so much of yourself to us every time you step on stage, and in this interview you let us get to know the real you.. .The young man we love and admire … YOU ARE LOVE…And Loved by all your fans…

    1. I am so glad Ignazio shared a part of himself with us. I feel very sad that his own home town doesn’t recognize the deep, beautiful and caring man that he is and a man with a beautiful voice with lots of love to give to the people. Music is like art and it expresses many feelings and thoughts a person has. I love music especially IL Volos. When I see Ignazio I see a warmth in those big brown eyes and his beautiful sweet dimples are so sweet and inviting. I wish I could meet him in person and just look into his sweet face and let him know how much he is loved and pray that everything will work out in Gods own time. Don’t let anyone change who you are. You are a warm, caring sweet man at a time in life where everything is complicated and you have to find out who you really are and love yourself for what you are and do. My thoughts are with you at this moment because I know a little of what it’s like to feel love, loss and be deeply hurt when i was young and growing up. I Love you Ignazio <3

    2. That was lovely Jeanette. I too was so sad for Ignazio during that interview. I hadn’t thought about Ignazio being overlooked by Marsala but he is right. Maybe Piero and Gianluca got the accolades they did because they both come from small places while Ignazio’s Marsala is a sizeable city in comparision. I don’t know but its just a shame they have not acknowledged their Marsala Prince!

    3. Jeanette, you really expressed it beautifully! As I was reading what you wrote, I was thinking “Yeah!” Thanks! <3

    4. Thanks Jeanette, you wrote it exactly how I feel all too.
We all love him for its beauty and tenderness and certain shyness.
      And Marsala?
In every city of the world are people of good envious, that you do not know to appreciate actual values and achievements particularly among young people. But there never last long.A young person is not ready and the more it hurts. But real life only starts and achievements too.
And I must say that on the photo with our boys are Jeanette very nice.Gretings to the other girls too and I look forward to the next news.

      1. Thank you Zdena , Barb, piratesorka,bbubb2014, and Kelly… We all love our guys so much and when I read the words of Ignazio about his beloved city not giving him the love that he so deserves, it just broke my heart… This young man is so loving, caring and talented… They need to put a banner up for all to see…

Oh they finally did, and its about darn time… Viva Marsala… You finally see your shining star… Viva Ignazio… We love you, because YOU ARE LOVE…

  5. Thanks Kelly and AAIV. Wow! For our usually quiet Middle-Man that was quite a bit of chatter. Too bad about his City. I’m sure the time will come. If I lived in Marsala I would erect a statue of him in the middle of the town!

So nice when any of them let us into their private lives.

Thanks Ignazio. You do know you’re my favorite. Right?

  6. Jeannette has a comment for this post, but for some reason it wouldn’t print here for her. Here it is.

Jeannette says, This interview with Ignazio was probably most interesting to me because I learned so much about Ignazio that I never knew before… Where Gianluca wears his heart on his sleeve so to speak and shares so much with his fans and Piero is very vocal about who he is and both enjoy sharing family and stories with us.. 1. Well said, Jeannette! We love him so much, don’t we? Marsala needs to wake up and recognize their treasure. But, sometimes things take time, and I have a feeling that the “powers that be” will someday do that. Ignazio is young, strong, and determined, and he won’t go away any time soon, God willing! He wants to make a difference in his town and in his country. I was also happy that he was so open in this interview…we all know him a lot better now, and love him even more than before, if that’s possible!

  7. Jeannette that was well written & well thought out.We have to feel honoured that he chose us to write to as to how he feels & is hurting.
I am still trying to find a way to get through to someone who is in authority in Marsala to ask why he is ignored. I will succeed.
All my love goes out to you Ignazio

    1. Thank you Loretta, And I do hope you get a response from someone in Marsala… How they can ignore their native son who is such a huge success around the world is beyond me…

  8. I wanna say that I could be Ignazio’s grandmother, but Ignazio has been a living example to old people, not so old people and to young people, He may never know the impact his actions and behavior have had on all people around the globe, which goes to show that the saying that one person can change the world is true. He is doing his part, and the impact he has had on all ages is profound(all 3 of them). I am not ashamed to say that Ignazio has changed my life for the better. He is a real roll model for me and someone I care about and will support for the rest of my life.
He has a tremendous wisdom for his age. He is one of those people born to make others happy, and my wish for him is that he never makes Hollywood his home, because Hollywood people are not happy people, they are people driven by greed and selfishness .
Ignazio, this is for you: a quote from Kipling. ” If you can meet with Triumph and disaster and treat those two imposters just the same……If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, or walk with Kings but not lose the common touch, Yours is the earth and everything that’s in it, and what’s more, you’ll be a man my son”

    1. Thank you Kelly, I could not understand why it did not post… I ended up sending it to Maria and asked her to post it for me…Thank you Marie for posting it… Now it has been posted twice… For all who are reading this blog, I am sorry for taking up so much space… I do not know what happened but as always, Kelly and Marie came to the rescue and got my thoughts posted for me….

  9. there is a new picture Ignazio posted on His instagram of him sitting by the sea. his post was in Italian, but I had to find the English translation and I did. it was on Rock me Il Volo and it said translated by google( so I don’t think I stole anybody’s translation!) here it is: ” Often I get lost in dark thoughts that ultimately do not belong to me!! Sometimes I happen to groovy thoughts of other people! but you know where I am wrong? I never think if other people do it for me!! take charge of my problems!! they think that my life is all pink and flowers!! without seeing the stress and difficulties that we have!! admired and respected each person for what little the do!! no matter the social class!! the social importance!!! we are all the same!!!”
boy, every time this boy opens his mouth I have more admiration for him!! I think we are all very aware that for the quality of their performances, they have very hard and tedious work behind the scenes, not to mention the tiring constant travelling. fame sprang upon them so suddenly and the adjustment are not easy, and quite frankly I want them to remain simple human beings who do not lose the common touch that we love so much about them when we see them at home. Ignazio, don’t worry, whilse you are hard at work, there is a team of soldiers surrounding you all with prayer in the background, and we will hold you all up.

    1. I agree with you Deanne, I too hope they can remain humble guys who love the simple things of life, a loving family, good friends, a good game or soccer or such now and then, good meals with lots of laughs and all the love they so richly deserve. I just want to hug Ignazio til he squeaks ( we pirates have our piratey ways) and tell him he has no idea just how amazingly loved he truly is and how special he is to so many of us.

  10. Pirate, I had to smile when I read what you said about Marsala not recognizing him, as Naro did for Piero, and Abruzzo did for Gianluca. I thought the same thing you did about Marsala being a much bigger city, and since Ignazio was not born there,I was not surprized. In the first PBS special(THE FLIGHT), it was mentioned that he was from Bologna, but at some point since, his family made the move. They apparently have not been there that long, so he doesn’t have the “singing at church, singing at weddings, little boy with the big voice, everybody knows him,”advantage that Piero & Gianluca still have. It will come, I ‘m sure, but it’s probably going to take much more promotional outings there to bring it about. Just my opinion, but that doesn’t make today’s hurt go away. In the meantime, all the pride, love and support that ILVOLOVERS from all over the world can give, Ignazio, we give to you. You, most definitly are, OUR MARSALA PRINCE!

  11. Loved your last post also, Pirate! All the things he has right now; family friends, faith, fun, and OMG don’t forget soccer, are worth much more than a pat on the head!! Besides that, you don’t darn mess his hair!!!!

    1. Thanks Kittykam, you know, the idea of messing with Ignazio’s hair really appeals to me because his is the longest. Of course I would also have to keep an eye out for the ever vigilant but dangerous Marie if I did decide to hug him til he squeaks and ruffle his hair.
Hmmm….actually , I bet not a single one of those sweet guys wants people to play with their so carefully groomed hair! Dang….but I wanna do it!

  12. Thanks Deanne for the translation I was trying to find out what he said. The drop down English translation I had doesn’t work anymore
