  2. As many of you did, I spent Christmas at the home of a family member. Got in late last night. So, this morning I read all of the Christmas comments and realizes something important. We should charge big bucks for reading this site. From geography lessons of middle Europe to peeking in on the practical daily life in Italy. Not only do we display the worlds best music, but more love is spread here than anyplace else on earth. I’m sure.

    Yeah folks…we should charge…Get rich and buy a Villa someplace (!) Who’s with me?

  3. Great post, Ann! Loved all of it.
    I got the best present under my tree Christmas morning from a very creative husband. A new set of luggage was neatly wrapped with a gift tag reading, To Jane, From Gianluca!!! Now how do you suppose Gianluca knew I wanted to go over the pond and visit his beautiful country?? Getting my husband’s “blessing” to do this is like getting the Pope’s blessing!! Italy, here I come! 🙂

  5. Ann loved your post on Italian cooking, ideas & living. Now my daughter-in-laws daughter who last year married an Italian young man is now in Italy meeting his family of about 50 people & learning Italian as well as Italian cooking. They were on Skype yesterday & telling us that what she has seen of Turin is beautiful. So we have already tasted Enzo’s pizza so now we can look foward to more of their Italian recipes.

  6. Ann, Loved the Suit & Tie video! Soooo happy to see our guys dancing! And singing music that is so danceable on their last albums (thru Sony Latin)!

    Lydka, thanks for Il Volo and Helene Fischer Grande Amore! I had heard Of this event but had missed seeing it. It seems that Helene has a voice worthy of singing with IL VOLO (wow! I’ve looked extensively), though I think a little more blending of her part could be optimal.

    Anyone else have an opinion on Helene Fischer with IL VOLO?

      Helene Fischer is good singer with nice voice,sometimes I listen her songs ( I like Atemlos durch die Nacht, Marathon, Phänomen), but I think she could sing better with guys.Harmony between her and their voices was not perfect. I think she should sing softer, in my opinion ,in the chorus she pushed too much,if you know what I mean. 🙂 In my opinion,she had to choose a different approach to expression in this song,but I’m just a layman. I must say that love the Grande Amore only with boys, without other singer. 🙂

        Isn’t it fun to have a better appreciation of music and the subtleties of perfection that we experience with IL VOLO and IL VOLO alone?! 😉
