Several have asked about Vegas. There is no “official” Fan Faire this time, although Jeannette Giglio has arranged and reserved dinner for a group of about 50 at the Palms restaurant, The Lucky Penny for dinner before the concert. They will allow seating, starting at 3:30p. I believe concert is at 8p. If you are interested in attending, please email Jeannette at: IlVolotour2019@mail.com, so she can keep track of the number for the reservation. Myron is also coordinating, with Jeannette. 🙂
And speaking of Vegas…. I will be travelling from MI alone, to Vegas. I will arrive Fri night and going home on the red eye on Monday. 🙁 I have booked Fri/Sat at the Jockey Suites, which is next to the Bellagio, right on the strip, and Sunday at the Palms. Rooms for Fri/Sat are a tad over $400 for both nights and they are currently sold out. SO, if there is anyone thinking about going at the last minute and is looking for a room, please let me know by emailing me at the Flight Crew email below, as I’d be happy to have a roomie to share the cost! 🙂 I upgraded at the Palms for a Studio Suite. Both hotel rooms have a full kitchenette. The Palms is totally non-smoking in the Palms Place.

Ok, I’ve heard a few of you have made it to the soundcheck! Please tell us how it went and what to expect. Several fans on this site have questions! 🙂

Sound check is being announced a couple days before the concert and has to be booked by 11am the day of the concert. Only Boston one up right now.
“ TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS THE SOUNDCHECK IT IS MANDATORY TO BOOK BY 11:00 AM ON THE DAY OF THE CONCERT
To participate you need:
book on the following form
print the reservation (or have it on your smartphone) hold the physical concert ticket (or equivalent digital ticket to present at the entrance to access) that the name displayed on your profile corresponds to that written on your identity card (Please update your profile if the names do not match) show us a valid ID IMPORTANT
access to the soundcheck is reserved only for members of the Fan Club (accompanying persons without membership of the Fan Club cannot participate. The minimum age allowed to join the Official Fan Club of Il Volo is 13 years.) an adult enrolled in the Fan Club who has a child under the age of 13 who is NOT a Fan Club member, can participate in the soundcheck bringing the child with him ONLY IF both of them have valid identity documents and concert tickets.
to enter the building your tickets will be validated, so at the end of the soundcheck you can go to position yourself in the places you have purchased A card is NOT required to make a reservation and take advantage of the initiative each booking is strictly personal, is nominal and cannot be transferred to third parties

No photos allowed at sound check.
You cannot take photos at the soundcheck, the official photos taken by the fanclub are posted only on the fanclub, from which cannot be duplicated. Only if you are registered can you see them.
Hi, no pix allowed per OMG fellow. Spoke to us individually in no uncertain terms. Verboten!
They usually tell you, you can’t take pictures….
But everyone does it anyway. What they don’t want is for you to use the flash. It gets in the boys’ eyes and bothers them. So don’t use the flash mode and you should be all right. It’s the fastest 2 hours you will ever experience!
At the concert, Penina. At the soundcheck you cannot take photos and it is imperative!

my experience with sound checks is that they are a waste of time. The guys are busy and don’t have time to talk. They sing a couple songs part way and they are done. The bulk of the work happens in the 2 – 3 hour rehearsal that happens before the fans are allowed in. I had a chance years ago to sit in the rehearsal at the Greek Theater in LA – that was wonderful and gives come in-sight. They were not inviting fans in for sound checks in those days.
Went to soundcheck in Atlanta last night. About 30 people only! Nice small crowd. Boys sang for about 45 minutes then came down to meet all of us and shake hands. Small chit chat. They all looked tired. Don’t know how they keep up their schedule. Mama elenora was there and Barbara vitali. Said hello to them. Great fun! Better than meet and greet. Too many people and very hurried experience. Quick pic and quick chit chat. Still worth the money and experience being a super fan! Will be in Vegas for the concert. Fabulous show.
IMPORTANT CORRECTION ! ! ! – The Las Vegas concert is NOT at 8:00pm (which is the usual time) but rather it starts at 7:30pm on Sunday, March 15 at the Pearl Theater in the Palms Hotel.
