Il Volo, did a great American tour, many cities were visited.
Let’s summarize this long journey together.
But how did our young people travel? Let’s find out together. 😁
Gianluca, kindly introduces us to the means by which they traveled from one city to another, is a beautiful and comfortable sleeping bus, equipped with 12 beds.
In the video, Gianluca takes the place of the perfect “landlord” and makes us visit the bus. Gianluca says. “We travel on the bus, I’ll show you, here is the kitchen, here are the beds, 12 beds, we are a dozen people, then there is the living room.”

I enjoyed seeing the bus and how big it was… almost like 2 semi’s put together. Thanks for putting this together, the cities in America are very beautiful as is in other countries. I am so in love with “my guys”. They bring joy and happiness to each city they visit and sing… numbers don’t lie and they had packed houses in every city I’m told. I saw them in Mesa, AZ at the Ikeda theater which holds 1600 seats and it was well organized and easy to navigate. “My guys” gave a stunning performance lasting 2 hours strong. We hated to let them go, so much clapping and they graciously accepted our thanks. Then onto M&G and had about a 100 people wanting to see them, me included. To tell you the truth, I forgot about the picture taking and had my back to the cameraman. I was talking to “my guys” and had them smiling. As a teenager I had idols, and in later years had preferences, but in my elder years (today) nothing has come close to loving IL Volo as I do. They truly are my heart and I love them for the goodness in them, plus their ability to belt out a song and make it theirs. Thank you IL Volo and if I get the chance and the health stays okay, I want to come to Italy and see where you live, see the beauty of the country, and Ms. Daniela I would certainly try to meet you. These guys have touched me as never before, maybe it’s my age or maybe I’ve learned to appreciate life more? Don’t know, but I do know “I LOVE “MY GUY”! Thanks for sharing this IL Volo and Daniela for presenting it. WTG Hearts a fire.
Sassylady, not only, it was the first time you saw Il Volo in concert, but it was also your first meeting with them, so you were so excited that you no longer thought about the photo with them, you were already satisfied like that.
It would be wonderful if you came to Italy and of course I would be happy to meet you and get to know you.

Sara, I don’t know what the situation is like for you, but here we are locked up in our houses and seeing the boys, it raises the day a little.
Thank you so much Daniela for this beautiful memory! I was fascinated by the way they traveled and especially by the video of their set being dismantled in Dallas… I guess all that went in a semi truck? So much work was involved in bringing their amazing concerts to us and now we see a little bit behind the scenes! I will never forget this tour and finally seeing them in Atlanta. They are such a big part of my life!
Clarissa, you’ve seen how many people have to assemble and disassemble everything, and when Il Volo arrives for rehearsal, everything must be ready. A great team effort.

Of course, Beverley, they are a very well-knit group, on the other hand, if it were not so, they could not share many hours together. I believe there is a great friendship in the whole group.
What a great idea to do this, Daniela–gracie mille! We saw the two big, deluxe buses next to the theater in Tampa, and I assumed (correctly for once) that they were for the guys and staff. Crazy about Ignazio’s “Dancing Queen”! Yes, continue the road trip, per favore, even though it unfortunately had to be cut short.

That piece of Ignazio who sings “Dancing Queen” is too loud, also I love ABBA.
I love ABBA also Daniela. I saw the stage show of Mama Mia in Las Vegas years ago. In fact I was dancing in my seat and clapping along with the music so much that the setting fell out of my ring!
Luckily I noticed it was gone before I left the theater, and had to get a security guard go back in and find it for me.
I was so happy he saw it under the seat.

Yes, Jill, Beppe and I, before getting married, we had the ABBA cassettes, and in the car we listened to them all volume, beautiful songs.

I am very happy for them and their families they are in their home towns. I feel sad though, because I had tickets for the last show in Las Vegas. We will be confident they will return to Mexico and or US. Saludos los quiero.
I understand you well, Natalia, it was supposed to be a good concert and a nice party to be totally closed, but this virus has changed everything.
I have tickets to the Arena in August, hopefully the contagion is over by then.
They will certainly return and you will enjoy many beautiful concerts.
I REALLY enjoyed the tour that you posted. It took me back to not so long ago when we were carefree and each of us really looking forward to our chance to see their show. They were having fun and exciting their audiences with their beautiful voices and charismatic personalities. They saw a lot of the United States and I hope they enjoyed the diversity and personalities of each stop. One thing that amazes me is watching them wander around New York ,Memphis or Universal Studios and people around them not even glancing at them. They must not be that well recognized in the US. I had tickets to 4 shows, but only was able to see them in Mesa and San Jose before Marin and Las Vegas were cancelled. Before the show in San Jose i saw a huge semi truck and bus parked beside the theater. I assumed it was the equipment truck and travel bus. But then as we waited outside the theater we saw a third somewhat smaller bus letting Barbara, Eleonora and staff off at the stage entrance. When I saw the video of dismantling the stage in Dallas I realized they must have to haul all that equipment around from place to place. Tours like this are a monumental job it seems. I look forward to reliving the last few stops on their tour on a future post. Thanks for all you do to keep us up to date on our beloved Il Volo!
Janet, it is true, the images take us back to carefree moments, which is why I added at the beginning that this post was ready before the virus came.
I too, who do not know America, liked to see the beautiful cities, through the eyes of Il Volo.
The tour, really moves many people, even for them, Ignazio said that they returned immediately to Italy, because everyone has families to embrace.

It’s me again, Daniela. I forgot to say that it must be even harder for the guys to be in isolation after so many weeks of being so close together with each other and also their musicians and crew.
We are hearing slightly better news from Italy, thank heavens, as our situation continues to worsen. We will really appreciate our normal lives when this is over….hopefully soon, so I can head back to Italy!
Judi, I believe that a little peace after a long tiring tour is good for them, but they will certainly miss the company of the whole crew.
There seems to be a small improvement in the infected, here in Italy, but the deaths are still very high.
I recommend to you, do not underestimate the risk.

Loved the behind the scenes on the bus tour and also the stage crew dismantling the set. I don’t do Facebook, so I really didn’t know they were traveling by bus for such long stretches. They usually go by air. In retrospect this choice may have spared them exposure to the virus. Stay safe everyone! Don’t we all wish we had Ignazio to make us laugh everyday!

Sometimes I am very undecided whether to make a post or not, because when there is a news or a video, the various and numerous facebook pages are invaded, but then I think of those who do not have these means, and you give me confirmation, thanks .
Thank you Pat and Daniela for all the photos and videos. I had seen some but not all and I really enjoyed the “bus tour”. It’s amazing to think of all the organizing and work that goes into their tour. As much as people may get along, it can’t be easy to be so close together for so long but it looks like they were fine. Also, it must be exhausting doing their concerts and then getting on the bus and heading to another city or state. I hope someday they will have the opportunity to spend more time in various places such as some of our National Parks which I think are spectacular. And it seemed sad watching them dismantle the sets and all the equipment after such beautiful concerts. I was so fortunate to attend the soundchecks and their concerts at RCMH and in Bethlehem and they were wonderful! I have thought recently that it was a blessing that they were here before the virus got worse, especially with all the people they were meeting at the shows and other events. Looking forward to Part 2!
Margaret, I agree with everything you’ve written and I think all the boys will have filled their eyes, as well as their cell phones with beautiful images of American places.
Of course the tour life is exhausting, for the amount of work and also for the coexistence, for this I think, they are really a well-knit group.
Certainly it was good that Piero, Ignazio and Gian were there, while the contagion was little, from you!
