~~Happy Thanksgiving To All Who Celebrate This Day~~

Thanksgiving Day is a national holiday celebrated as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. It is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States. Several other countries also celebrate thanks and harvest around the same time including Canada, Germany (ErntedanFest), Japan (Kinro Kanshsha no Hi), and others.

Here in the States we celebrate Thanksgiving primarily by eating Turkey and Pumpkin Pie. We also choose this day to eat as much as we can so we can moan during football games. I never understood this tradition, but always participate.

My favorite tradition though is going around the dinner table each one telling why they are thankful.

I asked you last year and I’m asking you again this year, to share in this day of thankfulness no matter where you live and whether or not you celebrate today as a holiday.

Once again I’ll start at this end of our table.

I am most thankful for my family and another year of their good health. What Blessings! Next, I am thankful for Our Boys. Not only because of what they are and what they do, but because they brought all of you here. I have never met finer people in my life and amazingly you all have great taste in music! Of course, I have to add chocolate, trees and dimples.

Your turn and pass the gravy.
