The final event of the FESTIVAL SHOW 2018 takes place in Trieste in Piazza Unità d’Italia.
IL VOLO are expected as guests.
Here they came for the usual rehearsals of the evening. But one is missing, where is Piero? He will be late.
Here is the afternoon interview.
INTERVIEWER = The most prestigious and international guests, highly anticipated for this final, this year, welcome to the guys of IL VOLO, two out of three, then Piero will arrive, later.
I = I tried to eliminate him. (Piero)
G = Hello everyone, Piero is missing but he will come.
INTERVIEWER = You have made the holidays this year, after your tour. I saw you leave from Sanremo, we said goodbye the next day and you left to travel the world.
I = Yes, we did a tour, then we rested, this year, I in Sicily.
INTERVIEWER = Did you split?
G = Yes, of course, everyone returns home for the summer and rests, but now, the holidays stop because we have to go back to work. Next year there will be many surprises, new music, new songs.
INTERVIEWER= Also cinema. You are working around the world and now in all countries you are clearly expected as great stars, and also in Italy, even if Italy has arrived after the others. What is the country where you feel welcomed warmly?
I = Surely as a type of character, Italy, then there is Latin-America where they are very warm ….. can you say?
G = Of course we can say, Argentina, Brazil, it’s nice to see how they appreciate the music, the Italian bel canto, which is appreciated all over the world. Then what we try to do, is to bring the bel canto to everyone, not only to Italians, especially to all young people.
INTERVIEWER = Before, when you were trying out the songs, all the people in the cafes got up, and all the foreign people in the square approached to listen to you, many are here for you tonight.
I= It’s definitely nice, to get to make tradition and culture, and it is the thing that gives us more pleasure when we travel, which however Italian culture is always well-liked, around the world, is truly admired and loved.
G=And then it will be a great emotion to sing again, in this wonderful square after three years. We made the first concert in Trieste in the summer of 2015, immediately after the victory at the Sanremo Festival. We are really happy to be here.
INTERVIEWER = And we can not wait to see you again, thank you very much to IL VOLO for having been with us.
I = Thanks to you, it was a pleasure.

Michele Torpedine is part of the jury and has awarded the first place of the young hopefuls. Also Danilo Ciotti, was part of the jury.
Immediately after the stage of the young hopefuls, the show begins, many singers will perform, including IL VOLO.

IL VOLO Festival Performance
Just when it was their turn, it rained very hard. Poor guys, they sang under a pouring rain. The presenter thanked them for their professionalism and their true affection towards the public.

And here is the interview with the final greetings, the interviewer thanks the guys, saying that she would not have expected them to continue the performance under that very heavy rain, but the guys confirm that, in front of an audience, you can not escape the performance, even if it’s raining hard.

After the show the boys held up a t-shirt with written negative comments for those who drive and are distracted by their phones.
Despite the heavy rain, the guys were really very professional.
We hope they have not caught a cold, although I think so many would rush to treat them!
