  1. Sorry but I have to play “tennis” here and put the ball back in IL VOLO’s court, It was a very sweet sentiment by Ignazio, but NO, they certainly have changed our lives, enriched them beyond belief by giving us the pleasure of listening to them and watching them on tour. What a horrible, and less enlightened world it would be without the best italian import there has ever been!

  2. I believe all three are still unaware of the impact they have made on so many peoples lives. Some of the comments over the last several days prove that point. All seemed amazed that the fans came out and stayed or the rainy concert in Guatemala. I told them the only thing to keep us away is a monsoon, maybe.

  3. I agree about the impact but it really is two-way. I imagine that without this dramatic change in their lives from four years ago they each would be going to college or singing around their home towns . Maybe one or two of them would find the right manager – maybe. Then a solo career or maybe teaching (like Piero said once). Hard to know. But that did not happen because God took a hand and “nudged” a few people. But it still took the fans to raise them up because they raise us up. It warms my heart to see that the humble side is still there.

    1. Myron you are so right. I confess when they joined to be Il Trio, at the beginning I was disappointed, because I thought Gianluca could have a solo carrer after winning the contest, but now I see was not the right time, as you said hard to know what could have happened. Now they have this big success and much more experience. I hope they keep to be like brothers and always respect each other. Talent and energy they have enough to fly away. God bless them.

  4. I’ve always claimed it was Divine Intervention that put all three in the same place at the same time. The rest is chemistry!

  5. I cried last night when I read
“ignazio boschetto ‏@IBoschetto Tonight we received a póster on stage..! And on the póster i read “you change my world” but the thing is YOU #ilvolovers changed our world!!”

It reminds me of an infinity sign, how each side keeps feeding into the other, infinitely. I now have words for it:
    “THE SYNERGY OF LOVE”

I would say, with a smile, “you started it, IL VOLO,” but I think you’re right: God’s Divine Intervention “started it”!

Thank you, mfa, for the beautiful posts!

In gratitude for the synergy of all our love, especially Ignazio, Piero, and Gianluca,
    ~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway

    1. 2 things on “THE SYNERGY OF LOVE”…

1 – After I wrote that, I googled the definition of “synergy”, curious to see how they defined it. Of the 10,200,000 results (!), the first one read “the interaction or cooperation of two or more organizations, substances, or other agents to produce a combined effect greater than the sum of their separate effects.
‘the synergy between artist and record company'”

      I had to smile!

2 – I mentioned what I said in the post above to a friend, and the first she said, was, “Sounds like an album title.” The second thing she said was, “Or a song title,” and she wrote it down for herself, as she has written well over 500 songs.

      Interesting!

      Loving the synergy,

      1. Or “IL VOLO: The Synergy of Love” could some day be a title for a book I may write about IL VOLO. Feels really yummy.

  6. Yes, Il Volo certainly came along out of the blue and had an enormous impact on all of our lives. I think, however, our boys are still amazed at the response they get from all of us. And we don’t just love their music–we follow them and care about them like they are family, and we care about their families. It is a very special bond.
And, by the way, for Piero fans, check out his sound check picture on Il volo Mundial facebook–without the glasses. Just adorable!

  7. Il Volo is the 9th (?) wonder of the world. Myron, I agree with every word you said.
Everytime you think they can’t get better, they surprise you and everytime I think they are going to drop with exhaustion, it’s like their energy increases. they are 3 amazing human beings, and slowly but surely the world is waking up to that fact. I just don’t want them to get overworked that they have no time to enjoy their young lives. I think of Bocelli:He is world famous and well off, but he paces his concerts and enjoys his private life. I don’t want another Michael Jackson scenario, so my hope for them is that as their popularity grows, they will be able to call the shots and have more time to relax at home. they are truly pearls of great price and great examples of what the world wants and needs. thank you Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca for not being afraid to risk swimming against the present tide and be true to yourselves. this is what greatness looks like

    1. LOVE your parting words, Deanne: “thank you Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca for not being afraid to risk swimming against the present tide and be true to yourselves. this is what greatness looks like”
      Yes!

      You’re welcome, mfa!

      ~ Jeanine D.

      1. Absolutely, Deanne! You expressed it perfectly. Il Volo has certainly changed our lives for the better, in many ways. We all owe them a huge thank you for all the pleasure and enjoyment they bring us. And if that is what greatness looks like, they are great indeed! Thank you so much, Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio. You have brightened the world with your music and your charming selves.

  8. Not sure I can find any additional words to say regarding our boys, either musically, or personally, because we all agree they are a GOD send.

A while back, I posted here “God’s receipe for success”. Today, that receipe has quickly become a most delicious, fantastically appealling healing therapy for the bruised and broken hearts of so many. As they partake, the emptyness is replaced with love, joy, and hope. It’s apparent, that God has not only blessed three young men, but in so doing is blessing a world in need. Through them, they(we) see astonishing integrity, respectfulness, and consideration. Each element, which, at times, seem in short supply.

As has been said before, the boys may not yet be aware of the impact they have, and how they are not just entertaining, but are changing lives. The receipe all comes together, by His hand! Their dream, our reality. Thanks to those who sensed the possibities!
