It is a sweet love story, with a lot of music and with the participation of our guys, all filmed in the beautiful Verona, which you will see in beautiful images.

It’s a beautiful film of love and also offers beautiful views of Verona and as you all know there are also our boys.
So, what do you tell me about the songs?
I find they have beautiful messages of love.
I only translated the three unpublished because all the others are already known songs, but if you like the idea, I can continue to translate the others, of course excluding “People” and “Be My Love”, for obvious reasons.

“UN AMORE COSÌ GRANDE”: LOVE DECLINED IN ITS VARIOUS FACETS
The debut on the big screen of the trio ll Volo in the film Un Amore Così Grande in the role of young mentors who discover the natural talent of a young unknown, their age, and help him to achieve success.
As announced by the title, love, declined in its various forms, is the motive that permeates the whole story of “Un Amore Così Grande”, the debut feature of the television director Cristian de Mattheis, which will be released in cinemas on September 20, produced by Federica Andreoli, who also edited the subject, and Michele Calì.
Not only the romantic love between the two young protagonists, interpreted by Giuseppe Maggio and Francesca Loy, but also that between parents and children, between teacher and pupil, between friends, and above all the love for music that is the real common thread and the bond that unites all the characters in the film in a symbolic embrace.
And to unite them is the passion for a genre generally considered elite, the lyric, which here is presented as an art form accessible to everyone, even to constitute the exercise of a street karaoke in which anyone can try, proposed by young people for young people.
In this lies the true peculiarity of the film that sees in Il Volo’s participation its raison d’etre. As repeatedly explained by the three members of the trio, in fact, the “Notte Magica” tour, whose poster is known from the beginning of the film, was born with the intention of bringing young people to the lyric as only “three boys, of twenty years can do”, in an ideal continuation of the project launched by Pavarotti to bring the Opera “outside the theaters” and make it accessible to the general public.
The presence of the three young singers, the two tenors Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto and the baritone Gianluca Ginoble, who impersonate themselves, is not really a simple cameo, but offers the key to the film in which they play the role of young mentors in able to understand talent and to encourage and accompany the protagonist to the success he deserves.
Verona, the city of Romeo and Juliet, where the film is set, is therefore the ideal setting as it is at the same time the city of love par excellence and temple of opera with its Arena.
The plot, however, also returns to the city its role as a symbol of contrasting love, of the destiny that first unites lovers and then tries to divide them. Love for music proves to be the only driving force able to transform suffering into passion and creativity.
A love story, therefore, that explores the different facets and whose meaning is contained in the title that is also that of one of the most beautiful songs of the Italian musical tradition, “Un Amore Così Grande”, composed by the maestro Guido Maria Ferilli , on whose notes the last scene of the film closes.

After announcing it a long time ago, and after a long wait, on September 12th the premiere of the film UN AMORE COSÌ GRANDE was held in Rome. The film will be in Italian cinemas from 20 September.
At the premiere were the producers director and actors. IL VOLO was represented by Michele Torpedine.

Once upon a time there were the musical films, the director De Mattheis signs with UNAMORE COSÌ GRANDE, a lyrical music film.
The story revolves around Vladimir, called Vlad, a young talent of opera singing, who at the death of his mother, a former soprano with whom he lived in St. Petersburg, came to Verona to look for his father, who had abandoned them when he was a child. To support himself, Vlad starts performing as a street singer. That’s how he meets the high-bourgeois Veronica with whom he is immediately struck by lightning.
In the meantime, by chance, the director of IL VOLO hears him singing and offers him a great opportunity. Life for Vladimir seems at a turning point, but many traumas and twists still await him …..
IL VOLO
Michele Calì is the producer of the film to explain how their involvement was born: “We started from the love story, but we needed a link to reach the public, especially the younger one.
It was natural to turn to Il Volo, which only in Italy has a huge following, the ‘volovers’ are more than 400 thousand. We have made them an integral part of the story, and they have become an added value to the film.
De Mattheis loved the possibility of telling the simplicity of a love story that recalled those of opera.
How was it to work with Il Volo? “We thought to transmit mainly what they are in life, here they represent the ‘mentors’ of the hero, simply being themselves.”
Federica Andreoli, the producer of the film, wrote these words:
“A big thank you goes to all the Volovers and Il Volo fans, for the help they are giving me in these weeks to promote UN AMORE COSÌ GRANDE … Thank you for what you are doing and for the love and interest you are showing for this movie. Here is an article from the premiere entitled UN AMORE COSÌ GRANDE, crowd at the Adriano (the cinema) IL VOLO and the debut on the big screen.
The day after the premiere, a clip from the film was also broadcast on the RAI2 news program.
At the beginning of the month of August, this release appeared on the facebook page of IL VOLO:
We learn from the production of UN AMORE COSÌ GRANDE and as disclosed by some media that the film will be screened in cinemas from next September this year and soon in the Mediaset channels. We take this opportunity to congratulate the producer Michele Calì, the director De Mattheis and the good actors with whom we had the pleasure of working on the set for our brief participation in the story of the story. Notice to “sailors”, in particular those interested in IL VOLO. I saw the movie UN AMORE COSÌ GRANDE and doing a review is not my job. But I can tell you that it is a love story with a happy ending, like those of other times: without violence, without sex and without vulgarity, but with lots of music and breathtaking images of the beautiful Verona.
I’m here to talk about the participation of our guys and I do not do it at the request of production, for which this “sorti” will be a, I hope, pleasant surprise, nor to win the benevolence, which I presume that I do not need it, nor for gratitude for consideration in my regard. I do it for you. Do not be fooled by the clip of a few seconds that Federica Andreoli wanted to give us as an anticipation. Neither from the announcement of the site of Il Volo, aimed at minimizing their stage presence. Cameo? …. Not even for idea, it is not a cameo. According to the definition of the term. It is instead a scenic presence, remarkable and substantial. We see them and hear them sing in a dimension never seen, thanks to the huge screen, It seems to be able to touch them, other than front row seats in the concerts, other than screens at the sides of the stage! And in the same way we see them and hear them recite, absolute novelty, spontaneous, natural, credible. It seemed to me to identify in their parts a different vein, certainly established by the script. Piero always serious, Ignazio a bit ‘serious and somewhat’ playful , and Gian a bit ‘serious and a bit’ angry. If I think that the “hunger” that we have of them leads us to watch any broadcast even squalid and ridiculous that you talk about it or show us, then for intellectual honesty, I have to tell you: go and see this film which is for all just what it takes: a breath of oxygen! I do not know about you, but all these innovations, especially what Maura wrote, made me want to see this film, certainly for me the wait will not be long, the next week will be in many Italian cinemas, but I think the wait for you will be longer.
