Welcome to this edition of Il Volo — Off Stage…but not really.
Today, I’m feeling a little…abstract…maybe. That isn’t the exact word that I’m looking for, but I think that for the concept of this article, that’s OK.
I’ve been inspired by the Black and White Facebook Challenge that is currently going on. For those of you that use Facebook, you might have seen it. The one where someone posts one black and white photo that depicts their life, no people, no explanation included, for 7 days? It’s been so interesting to see my friends’ and acquaintances’ lives through the medium of black and white photos.
Black and white pictures speak to me. Of course, I love to see a beautiful picture in full color. It speaks of life in full bloom, you know? Vibrant and present; in the moment. Like the way we’re supposed to (and I’m trying to learn to) live life. But Black and Whites speak of a fullness of life in a different way. In a way that draws us in and makes us see the subject in a deeper, more meaningful way. In a way that makes me want to know the story, the feelings behind them. Is there happiness? Love? Fear? Loss? What makes the picture mean what it does?
So, instead of “life in color,” let’s live a little in black and white. I chose a few random photos of Il Volo in this medium, and would like to know what you see. Choose one of the photos — or more than one — and tell us what you think.
Daniela was kind enough to find this article and translate it for us here! We already knew it was going to be Latin/Spanish and geared toward the Latin crowd, but I know we will love it anyway! Spanish is actually easier to understand than Italian and we know the guys will put their heart and soul into it, as always and will have a lot of fun making this one! Here is translation from Daniela! Grazie mille! or should I say – Muchas gracias! 🙂
Today is published by Optimagazine this article about the new album of IL VOLO.
THE NEW ALBUM OF IL VOLO WILL BE A POP REVOLUTION: THE FIRST CLUES ON THE RELEASE DATE IN 2018
It will be released in 2018 with the promise of a big pop revolution: IL VOLO is already working on the new unedited album.
Begin to leak the first clues to the new album of IL Volo, which will be totally pop-kind as they had anticipated in recent months, during the World Night Tour – A Tribute to the Three Tenors started from Vienna on April 21st.
The lucky tour has touched several European and Italian cities, and then landed on the American continent. Since September, the group has resumed the tour in Latin America, and is now working on the new pop album designed for the public and the Latin market. Produced by Emilio Estefan, husband of celebrity Gloria Estefan, the new album Il Volo will almost certainly be released by 2018, for which the three boys have been searching for melodies and lyrics, all in a newer popular dress. And from the words of the three tenors we really have to expect a great revolution!
“It will be a new pop project and we’ll surprise you, maybe there will be something with Ermal Meta and Tiziano Ferro, but we’ll see.”
Although they had expressed the desire for a break from the stages, Ignazio Boschetto, Piero Barone and Gianluca Ginoble left clues that make it clear that they were already in the studio to work on the new album of unpublished, but without hurry. “We will publish the new project when it is ready, we have no deadlines,” said Piero Barone.
At the moment, the band is devoting to the next album, and the world tour will resume in late November for the last two live concerts in Japan: November 28 will perform in Tokyo, and December 1 at Kawasaki.
The Magic Night Tour – Tribute to the Three Tenors has brought the latest record project by Michele Torpedine to the stage, which honors the show “I Tre Tenori”: Luciano Pavarotti, José Carreras and Placido Domingo, who participated in the album. Both the record and the tour have hit a huge hit all over the world with numerous dates sold out.
Our heartfelt wishes and thanks to all the Laborers of the USA and Canada, wishing them a safe and happy Labor Day, if they get the day off!! It’s a bit ironic, a day to celebrate the workers and unions, the government gives us the day off, but many in retail and other fields of work, have to work!
On September 2, our boys had a commitment to Berlin.
Little was known about this commitment, perhaps because it was a private event.
But the event had already been advertised by our guys with a video some time ago.
The boys made a photo shoot in Siracusa, Sicily, this summer for the new catalog of the ENERGETIX jewelery line.
On September 2, the new catalog was presented at this event!
The event took place at the Estrel Berlin where many people had the pleasure to see and feel the exceptional guests: IL VOLO.

Here are some photos in the catalog.
What about beautiful jewels worn by our wonderful home jewels: Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca.
What is your opinion of the cover photo as “Sicilian picciotti?”
This appears to be a recording of the guys singing, Grande Amore, put to a beautiful artistic impression, presented to the audience before the concert actually began.
You do not see very well but look at that presentation
Then the guests could hear a real concert of IL VOLO, were they not lucky?
The concert included:
O SOLE MIO
CANZONE PER TE
L’ AMORE SI MUOVE
IO CHE NON VIVO
LIBIAM NE LIETI CALICI
Grazie Mille and vielen Dank to die fruende Il Volo Bavaria for this beautiful video of the concert!! 🙂
Here is a link to the Energetix jewelry site. And as Jana put it, “Hey, this stuff is actually affordable!” 🙂
EDIT: PLEASE HAVE GREETINGS IN BY OCTOBER 2nd……thank you!
It’s hard to believe that we’re coming into Fall. Already … I’m not a happy camper … about that… really. No, really; I’m not.
It’s a good thing that the season is all about Ignazio, then, because wishing him a happy birthday cheers me right up!
His big day is only 4 weeks away, and it was time for his birthday post. You know the drill…
Send your birthday greeting to us at firstname.lastname@example.org by the evening of October 3rd. If you send your message and don’t receive an automated message, and then a personal confirmation from me with 48 hours of sending your message, please reach out to us via comment to this post.
Also…I need a little help…
Finding music for the birthday videos is always a process. I’m always worried about finding something each guy will love as well as something that is meaningful and can help tell their story. Will you help me? Post your ideas for music in the comments below. If I use your song, I will add your name to the video credits. Thank you!
And I’m sorry, Ignazio. I didn’t mean to cover your post in Disney Fairies… let me close with this:
Hello folks! I had planned something else for today, but my plans changed, so I thought I’d go back and find an old post. This post had 126 comments!! This was written by, I believe, Linda, one of the “foundresses” of this site with Marie. The comments are amazing. A few of you are still out there commenting – Loretta, Myron, Kelly, Allene, and several others I recognize, and many I don’t, and many that we haven’t seen for quite a while! Enjoy – it will take most of your morning to read through this – it’s over 7000 words! 🙂
(there are no pictures, but it looks like people had put links to various sites, as they were referencing articles and interviews, etc. Take a look and see what you might find. It is interesting to see these comments and see how much as come “true” 🙂 – what things have changed and what has stayed the same!)
The John Saroyan Theatre at the beautiful Fresno Opera House was sold out. More than 2400 people stood and gave Il Volo a standing ovation!! The Theatre was sold out and the applause was deafening for the more than 2 hour performance!!
Our Elaine drove 200 miles in Labor Day traffic to attend her second concert this week! She tells us it was well worth the trip!
1) Twitters, Tweets and Keeks: Gianluca tweeted last night “Thank you Fresno for the sold out! What a wonderful concert! Piero tweeted # feelings # live # concert.
See keek of Piero rehearsing with the drummer before concert on Mundial Facebook.
See Keek of Paul Sorvino singing “O Solo Mio” with Il Volo at LA concert, also on Mundial. Ignazio, no tweets? (some things never change! 🙂 )
2) Have a look at Il Volo Tumblr of the audience during the standing ovation last night. Anybody here recognize the age group of that audience? Hmm.
Please check our resource category on the left side of the site for things Il Volo.
The next concert is September 1st in Phoenix, wonder if they’ll ride the Il Volo bus to this concert?
After Phoenix they’ll be in Chicago on September 4th and Detroit on September 5th. Many of our Flight Crew are looking forward to these two concerts, as they’ll be attending! More on that later.
Spring and Summer are my happy seasons , and the beach is my spiritual place. Not just any beach, mind you. The beaches at your local rock quarry or river don’t count–at least not for me. I’m talking about the beaches near bodies of water big enough to contemplate how big the world is, whose depths of its unknown cause the imagination to wander, and whose beauty is unchanged regardless of whether it’s crystal blue in the sun or changing to various shades of green in an impending storm.
Having just spent a few days there recharging my batteries (but I can never get enough), I understand why Il Volo spends so much downtime there, and love seeing the pictures they and their loved ones share.
Of course, I also lover any picture that they share with us. Here are all of my faves from the last couple of weeks. Enjoy!
Summertime is my spirit season, and the guys of Il Volo seem to love it too. With scenery like this, who could blame them?

LA SCALA DEI TURCHI
The Scala dei Turchi is a rocky wall (cliff) rising over the sea along the coast between Realmonte and Porto Empedocle in the province of Agrigento.
The Scala dei Turchi has a wavy and irregular shape, with sweet and rounded lines.
The name comes from the past raids of Turkish pirates, who were sheltered in this area less than the winds and representing a safer landing.
The beach is famous for the candida and dazzling color of its rocks; is a protected area but in the past it has been threatened several times by tourism …
Piero: “Guys, Good morning to everyone, from La Scala dei Turchi”
