11/9/13
Hi Everyone,
As usual the last 2 concerts have been amazing!! Tonight the “Guys” are appearing in Porto Alegre Brazil. The Venue is Oi Arujo Vianna.
I thought you might like a little history of Porto Alegre.
Porto Alegre (local Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈpoɾtʊ aˈlɛɡɾɪ] ( listen);[1] Merry Harbour) is the capital and largest city in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. Its population of 1,509,939 inhabitants (2010) makes it the tenth most populous city in the country and the centre of Brazil’s fourth largest metropolitan area, with 4,405,760 inhabitants (2010). The city is the southernmost capital city of a Brazilian state.[2] Porto Alegre is one of the top cultural, political and economic centers of Brazil.
Porto Alegre was founded in 1772 by immigrants from the Azores, Portugal. In the late 19th century the city received many immigrants from other parts of the world, particularly from Germany, Italy, and Poland. The vast majority of the population is of European descent.
The city lies on the eastern bank of the Rio Guaiba (Guaiba Lake), where five rivers converge to form the Lagoa dos Patos (Lagoon of the Ducks), a giant freshwater lagoon navigable by even the largest of ships. This five-river junction has become an important alluvial port as well as a chief industrial and commercial center of Brazil.
The port of Porto Alegre is important for transporting local produce. The “capital gaúcha” has a broad-based economy that lays particular emphasis on agriculture and industry. Agricultural production includes produce such as plums, peaches, rice and cassava grown on rural smallholdings. The shoe and leather industries are also important, especially in Novo Hamburgo, in the Metropolitan Region of Porto Alegre.
The city area concentrates 28% of the native flora of Rio Grande do Sul, with 9,288 species.[3] Among these, there are many trees which are the vestiges of the Atlantic Forest. Fauna are also diversified, specially in the islands and hills. The Portoalegrense environs include many parks, squares and wooded streets. Porto Alegra will be one of the host cities of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Twitters, Tweets and Keeks:
Gianluca is on a Twitter roll! “I love my relationship with my bed, no commitment we just sleep together” The ring I wear is on the right hand NOT LEFT, I’m single, lol” “San Pablo, Rio De Janeiro and Curitiba are done, Porto Alegre now it’s your turn” “Unexpected kisses are the best.” “Sometimes it’s better to take a deep breath and shut up!”
Piero tweets: Bye bye #Curitiba, #PortoAlegre are you ready for tonight? #The TourisAlmostOver” Curitiba is beautiful, #Ilvolovers are the sweetest and more beautiful people I have ever seen” Happy Birthday #Nonno you are my inspiration and I will always thank you for everything you’ve done for me!”
Ignazio’s tweets are fewer. “Curitiba!!! was amazing tonight, thank you sooo much #Curitiba boanoite”
After tonight Il Volo will return to Sao Paulo for three concerts again at the Bradesco, 11/11, 11/12 and 11/13. The concert following, in Panama on 11/16 is the last concert of the South American tour.
It has been announced that Il volo will appear at the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Grove in LA on 11/17. Apearing with them, among others are Cee Lo Green and Jewel. Here’s hoping after that appearance, that they get a few days rest in Los Angeles before anymore appearances.
Check out Team Il Volo and All things Il Volo for some good photos and clips.
Love and Luck tonight!!!!

I say “amen” to your second to last statement about rest. I already know there are things happening in December that have not been announced yet but at least to have the weeks prior to Thanksgiving would be nice. Go to their Santa Monica apartment and sleep (have the affair with the bed !!!!! ) and swim and rest. I just got tired writing that. They deserve it. It really was not two tours but rather one BIG LOOOOOOOONG tour – by Dec.- 51 concerts since August 25.
Bless our guys.
fully subscribe yr opinion.
For sitting here in the U.S., the Latin tour seems to be dragging on. Not really counting but when you see it black and white, WOW! 51 Concerts in roughly 3-3 1/2 months plus the travel adds days. That is exhausting!
Ignazio put on Brabble that he has been “So-o-o sick.” And he hasn’t missed a show. But they need rest!!!
They must be so tired after this crazy schedule, but sure here they are SIDE by SiIDE, and that’s nice, like their SMILES to each other

Ignazio, must be hearing things in his earpiece again, hence the big smile.
The fan’s weren’t screaming through the song! Nice!
agree Marie,
as u like poetry I dedicate this Emily Dickinson quote to you and the boyz and all :
“My friends are my “estate.” Forgive me then the avarice to hoard them”.
cheers to all.
Thanks mlla.
Lovely video, thanks Mlla. It warms my heart to see those SMILES. In only one week our guys will be back to LA and about 400 miles from me. Not that close but enough to make me feel they are at my back yard.
I can’t wait to welcome you back guys. Love and blessing to you tonight.
