Our Ann with Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio at the Meet and Greet in Elgin, Illinois

We are home!  As you all know Il Volo Flight Crew board members Elaine, Michele, Kelly and Marie went on a long trip, to see you – the Flight Crew and well, of course we went to hear Il Volo sing!  We did that from coast to coast – California, Virginia, Michigan, Illinois and Wisconsin – we covered 2,013.9 miles in our Il Volo bus from Washington, DC to Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee and back and 4,295 miles in the air from San Francisco to Detroit and back!  We have many stories to tell and so do you. This is a tease to amp up our excitement for all future posts, yours and ours, about these melodious days in June 2014. We will get to them all, so hold on, more adventures with Il Volo coming soon!   By the way, we are so happy to have met so many of you on this tour! Thank you all soooooooooo much!  ~ Michele

  1. Guys, it sounds and looks like it was a very exciting time had by all. I am upset that I could not see them in my old hometown of Milwaukee. I am also glad that you could talk and visit with the guys.

    1. Myron – we really did have some adventures – but I can’t spoil the surprises! Sorry you weren’t in Milwaukee – it was so much fun, the downtown by the theatre is so cute with the river and all and we ate dinner with other Flight Crew there – it was so nice to see everyone! Michele (mfa)

      1. Michele, I suspect some of you have become roadie of the group and landed a job as technician or body guard ! 😉 Cheers ! !

  2. What a month, June, 2014!! We were able to attend the Concert of choice, which was an evening made in Heaven for all!! We have also had the wonderful stories from so many of us IlVolovers!! I feel like I have enjoyed every concert without being there!! There is still Westbury & Philadelphia, tonite & tomorrow nite! Have made new friends & I am still on cloud 9! Can’t seem to get back to Earth to do day to day normal things ! Always We Are Love is with me!❤️❤️❤️

    1. So glad you are enjoying everything – there is much more to come. I have a feeling we will be posting about Il Volo’s 2014 Summer Tour for a while yet! I have pictures and some video I haven’t even had a chance to review!

    2. I want to thank all of you for your stories of the concerts and the pictures. It means a lot to me since I could not see them this year. I feel as if I were there with you.

  3. Thanks for the photo! I have two like that in my camera. Waiting to hear about your M&G!! As you know, they rushed us through. I had an envelope for Piero with a birthday card and one for Gianluca with a recent TV guide special book on Sinatra. I told Gian I was with the Flight Crew and we would see them in Vegas. He said “when”? I said when you appear there. Then they rushed me out. Didn’t even get a hug from my Gian but Piero was sweet and had his hand around my waist.

    1. Piero is so nice! I know you will have a chance to hug Gianluca next time Ann! I was taking pictures and I saw Gianluca hand your gifts and card to someone – so I know they got them! I am pretty sure I have that in a picture too. It was so nice to meet you! Michele

      1. Thanks Michele. I loved meeting you girls and so did my sister! She feels like she’s in the club now.. I guess he had to put them somewhere because there were so many people in line. Can’t wait to hear about your M&G! I’m glad your trip was awesome!!!

  4. Hi Gals, What a trip, Did the concert in Toronto do anything special for Piero on his birthday? I for one am waiting to hear. Joanie

    1. The ENTIRE audience sang “Happy Birthday” to him! 😀 Mundial has a few videos of it.

  5. I can’t wait to hear all about every single one of you adventures! Just the thought of more stories, photos, and videos to come is making me excited! 😀

  6. I can’t wait to hear, see and enjoy all of your stories, videos and photos!!! Was absolutely wonderful meeting you and Marie in Milwaukee! My feet are still above the ground from the entire weekend. Did not want it to end! Our dinner before the concert…the concert…the meet and greet…the wonderful guys…it could not have been any better!!! So glad you made it home safe and sound! 🙂

    1. Thank you! Dinner was delicious – Thank you for finding such a perfect restaurant! It was a great week!

  7. Girls, go to ” All things about Il Volo”. there is a wonder article there on Piero.1st wishing Him Happy Birthday, and then the article which I think gives the most information on Him we have ever got. truly worth reading

  8. I only made it to one concert, but it was great meeting so many of The Crew — the ones that regularly comment, and some that say they just read and are too shy to comment. Well, you know we are a big family, so stop being shy and get in here! 🙂 And all you young guys and girls too! 🙂

  9. Peggy, the bio and article on Piero is on ALL ABOUT IL VOLO along with some other nice write-ups. Enjoy!

  10. Sorry about giving you a slightly wrong name. Kittykam is right, it is “All About Il Volo”. In my search on the right hand panel, I also got one of Ignazio and Gianluca. their Bio’s are shorter, but also very interesting.

    1. HELLO EVERYONE! I CAN’T WAIT TO READ ALL OF YOUR EXPERIENCES WITH OUR GUYS. SO EXCITED SINCE I COULD NOT GO TO ANY OF THEIR CONCERTS THIS YEAR. READING AND SEEING ALL ARTICLES/PHOTOS WILL ALMOST TRANSPORT ME WITH THEM. THANK YOU ALL IN ADVANCE. WAITING WITH BATED BREATH.

    2. Thanks to Kittykam and Deanne. I found the website and all of the articles sound promising. (Don’t know how I missed this one). Thanks again!

  11. Michele and all… Wow! What an incredible road trip! I can’t wait to hear all your details. Yes, totally great tease! How do you manage to get all the great IL VOLO bus photos?!

Looking forward to more fun stories! You ladies are amazing!

      1. Oh, Michele, I would seriously call that some major cosmic winks. To me, synchronicities like that are more than just a “coincidence”! So sweet!

Or, as Albert Shweitzer said, “Coincidence is the pseudonym dear God chooses when he wants to remain incognito.” I’ve heard others simplify it to “Coincidence is God’s way of keeping His anonymity.”

If nothing else, there was some major happy-dancing goin’ on! Way cool! 🙂

        Celebrating your wonder-filled trip!
