(No offense Annie, but if I had a Granddaughter that looked like that I wouldn’t take her with me to meet the Boys!  Look at Gianluca.  He knows what I’m talkin’ about. ~Marie)

Annie’s Story:

I just wanted to share my experience at the concert in Toronto on June 24, 2014. I went to the concert with my Daughter and Granddaughter, which I thought was great for all of us to enjoy the same kind of music. I had seen them last year at Molson Amphitheatre and didn’t see them as close as I would have liked, so when I found out they were coming to Toronto this year, I was determined not only to get good seats, but to do the meet and greet as well. My Daughter and Granddaughter agreed. I was not disappointed! The concert was great and we had good seats. At one point when we came back from the rest room, they were down off the stage and we almost bumped into them, when they saw my Granddaughter the did a double take, I think they thought she was cute and at that point I think I was invisible to them.

After we got to our seats, one of them ( I think Piero) yelled out, “I bet you just came back from the washroom“, of course we had, but we just waved our T shirts in the air and said that we were out there buying them, but we had a good laugh about it. Afterwards at the meet and greet when it was our turn Gianluca was holding his arms wide open for a hug, but it was not for me, but my Granddaughter and I felt a little foolish. Anyway we got autographs and pictures taken and hugs, it went by so fast I thought maybe I dreamed it all. What an experience I’ll never forget it and hope to be able to do it again. ( I saw a picture posted ATIV of Ignazio giving Piero a wallet for his Birthday and they were standing outside Luis Vuitton store which an area I’m in often and only wish I had been there then.) I hope this hasn’t been too long. I just felt I had so much to say.

Not too long Annie.  Not too long at all!

  1. Annie, it’s so great to hear your story about your meet and greet! I remember you telling me you went to their concert in Toronto in a reply to my post. I’m so happy you got to meet them and enjoyed the show! I laughed at the part about the washroom and the T shirts…too funny! Thanks for sharing!

  2. Annie, sounds like your family had a wonderful time. It is great that 3 generations can enjoy the same music. Next year you keep one of the guys before they see your granddaughter and then give her and your daughter the other two 🙂

  3. Gianluca and your granddaughter make a good looking couple. I would never wash that dress again. Kind of like when I got to shake their hands and did not want to wash my hands.

  4. Good for you, Annie!!! I’m so glad you had such a great time. I know exactly how you feel…I’ve told several people who asked me how my trip to Nashville was, that is like a wonderful dream! I still can’t believe I met and actually said a few words to each of The Boys,,, But I have a picture to prove it, thank goodness!!! Now, Annie–We’ll just have to meet them again next year!

  5. I have to thank Marie for posting this, thanks for all your responses, it’s so good to know others who are still enjoying the memories and Frieda, I’ll keep that in mind to grab one of them before they see my Granddaughter, I’ll just have to decide which one. Marie I like your remarks, I think my Granddaughter is gorgeous, but I think I’m a little partial !!!

  6. I’m so glad you are ok with the picture captions. Couldn’t help myself after seeing your granddaughter! Of course they took a “double take” What a beauty! Laughed at your return from the rest room! You felt foolish because we all feel foolish when standing face to face with the most handsome voices in the world!

  7. Annie, so much fun to see your story and your great pictures! Your beautiful granddaughter and Gianluca looked so cute together!! Glad you had such a good time.

  8. Annie, Next year I;ll bring my grand daughter as well and see if we can have as good an experience as you did. thanks for the story. It was charming.

  9. That’s fantastic that you, your daughter, and your granddaughter got to share such a wonderful experience! I hope I can be half as lucky as your granddaughter if I ever get to an Il Volo concert!
