PBS SPECIAL by Daniela

These days, Paul Larson published the interview he did backstage with Il Volo, for the PBS special recorded in Matera.
Here it is.

As recalled at the beginning of the video, Paul Larsen had interviewed Piero, Ignazio and GIanluca, for the first time, seven years ago, on the occasion of their first PBS Special, let’s review also, this interview.
They were really little kids.

Of course, if we look at the two photos, Paul Larson doesn’t seem like seven years have passed, but we see that Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca have left their image of little boys and are now handsome men.
But their sympathy and their humility is always the same, their heart is always full of affection and their skill has grown considerably.
Don’t you find it so?

  1. Daniela, I absolutely agree! Although Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca have matured physically, intellectually, and professionally, they remain humble, grateful, and continue to remain devoted to their families, their managers, and to each other. I hope and pray each of them find true love and that they continue to remain together and bring Belle Canto to the world for many years to come.

    1. Yes, Mary Jane, we all hope that Piero Ignazio and Gianluca find but love, but in particular, that they always remain united, that they always remain Il Volo.

  2. The wonderful thing about Il Volo is like you said Daniela even though they have matured into gorgeous men they haven’t forgotten where they came from and they still retain the qualities instilled in them from their families. They are truly stars and I only hope and pray they continue together for years because I’ll never tire of them. THEY ARE FABULOUS.

  3. Thank you Pat and Daniela for the the videos of Il Volo’s interviews with Paul Larson which took place seven years apart. It is enjoyable when they are asked good questions and the interviewer is familiar with them and their music.
I agree that as famous and popular as they have become, they are still humble, thoughtful and grateful for all they have achieved. As Ignazio has said, their families and their management are responsible for them remaining so. They have always known what was important!
It was lovely hearing Piero say how he recorded songs with his grandfather which he would keep for the rest of his life. And also the beautiful feelings seeing the faces in the audience and to be able to share that with Ignazio and Gianluca. God bless them always and I too pray they continue together for many more years!

    1. Margaret, I too appreciated what Piero said and the gesture of recording songs with his grandfather, songs that he will always keep as a souvenir! Really unique!

  4. Pat and Daniela, thank you again. This was so rewarding to see them then and now. What loving and professional “boys to me” they have become. They are so special.

  5. In trolling around on the internet, I have seen these interviews before, but actually I like to see them again and again. They are just amazing. They deserve a fan club like BTS’s ARMY. They they could present a virtual show. It would sell very fast, I am sure. Dena Pitchfork, Mercer Island, Washington US.A.
