A fan’s comment: Attending an Il Volo concert is nothing short of an extraordinary experience. Last night, I had the incredible opportunity to witness the Italian trio—Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble—perform live, and it was an evening I won’t soon forget. From the moment the lights dimmed, the energy in the venue was electric. The audience made up of long-time fans and new admirers alike, erupted into applause as the trio stepped onto the stage. And what followed was an evening of exquisite music, passion, and undeniable talent. The voices of Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca blend in perfect harmony, and this is evident in every song they perform. Their vocal range is breathtaking—whether they were hitting soaring high notes or delivering rich, heartfelt low tones, their voices captivated the crowd from start to finish. What stands out the most about Il Volo is the maturity and depth of their singing, especially considering how young they are. They bring a sense of classical opera to contemporary music, creating a rare and beautiful fusion that appeals to people of all ages. One of the most powerful moments of the evening came during their performance of “Nessun Dorma” from Turandot. The intensity and emotion in their voices were so palpable that you could feel every note deep in your chest. It was a true showcase of their vocal prowess and ability to convey raw emotion through music. But it wasn’t all opera and classical ballads—Il Volo also performed some lighter, more upbeat songs, including their hits like “Grande Amore” and “Il Mondo”, and “Hallelujah” of regrettable singer Leonard Cohen. These tracks had the crowd clapping and singing along, adding an element of fun and energy to the night. The trio’s chemistry on stage is infectious. They joke and interact with each other in a way that shows their genuine friendship and love for performing together. At one point, they even shared funny stories from their travels, which helped to break the ice and made the concert feel more personal. They truly made the audience feel like we were part of their journey. The orchestra accompanying Il Volo added a grand, cinematic quality to the performance. The arrangement of each song was rich and dynamic, enhancing the trio’s voices without overshadowing them. The production was flawless, with stunning lighting and visuals that beautifully complemented the music, but never distracted from the singers. What truly makes an Il Volo concert so special is the feeling of being part of something transcendent. There’s a sense of unity in the air, as everyone—whether they speak Italian or not—feels the emotion and beauty in every note. The evening concluded with a standing ovation, and the trio responded with an encore that left the crowd wanting more. Il Volo has undoubtedly mastered the art of making classical music accessible, exciting, and emotionally moving. If you ever have the chance to see them live, don’t miss it. Their performances are a testament to the power of music to connect people and create unforgettable moments.

The concert was in Chicago, Illinois in the beautiful Chicago Theater.
And as maestro Giampiero Grani tells us, it’s SOLD OUT!!
But before dedicating himself to the concert, Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero go to see a special basketball match: Chicago Bulls!
In the following video, Gianluca sends live greetings to all the friends of Roseto basketball!
But here are the videos of the concert!
In this video a beautiful summary of the evening.

The concert was in Cleveland, Ohio at the Keybank State Theatre.

TORNA A SURRIENTO

GRANDE AMORE

CAPOLAVORO

O SOLE MIO

NESSUN DORMA

A nice spaghetti dinner in Cleveland.
Our Gianluca, who is always the most social, lets us know that they travel in a tour bus.
That Claudia is also with them.
That they have a moment of leisure.
And when they can, in each city that they visit, they also manage to go to some characteristic places like Disneyland.
So the tour is going very well with many good moments and many enthusiastic people.
But the journey is still long and there are still many concerts to do.
See you soon:

  1. Thank you, Daniela, especially for including the Cleveland concert as well as Chicago and Detroit. I saw them for the first time at the State Theater and they were so awesome! I only wish that Ignazio had the chance to sing a second solo as Gianluca and Piero did. I love IL Volo and hope they come to Cleveland again. ❤️

    1. Ginny, I agree, and it was the same in Clearwater, Chicago–and probably the whole tour. I feel like he might have given it up to give Cecile her solo.😪

      1. Judi, I don’t think it was just because of Cecile that Ignazio chose only one solo, but it certainly could be, he is very selfless.

    2. Ginny, I’m glad you saw them in Cleveland already. Ignazio wasn’t at his best and for this reason he probably didn’t want to force his voice, but the situation seems much better to me. They will come to Cleveland again, don’t worry!

  2. Thank you for posts, videos and pictures and Ignazio master chef too ! Awesome Il volo and credit to everyone involved in this journey.
    Il Volo forever !
    Linda

    1. Linda, I also like to see how they spend their time outside of concerts and seeing them relaxed while cooking and eating a plate of pasta all together, fills my heart.

      1. I agree. Love them. . One of these days I’ll see them in person.❤️🙏

  3. AS ALWAYS!!! the beautiful documentation of their travels is amazing Thank you so much Daniela for your wonderful work and keeping us all smiling!!!!!

    1. Hi Cindi, I’m just trying to keep you guys updated on what’s going on on tour and I’m glad you like it, thanks for the compliments.

      1. Yes thank you for posts, pictures and videos of them . I wish them great success here in USA forever

      2. Daniela I know you get 1 million compliments a day but I had to add my two cents worth in thank you for all the work you guys do for us love the shows the videos everything you’re definitely an amazing crew and I’m so happy to be a small part of it!!!!!

  4. Thank you so much for sharing the wonderful.moments and memories along this Tour. I attended their Concert in Clearwater And it was spectacular. Each one more dynamic and spontaneous as the last. I will never forget these moments.

    1. Mary, I am so glad that Creawater was a concert that lived up to your expectations.
These three lovely men never disappoint!

  5. Cleveland is my hometown. It is such a pleasure to have them come here. It is their 4th time and I hope many more to come. Ignazio told us he cooked the pasta dinner, it looks delicious. He was not feeling well in Rancho Mirage and LA, but he gave us everything he could while taking care of his voice. A real trouper. I have been to 5 concerts so far this year. I’m 86yo and will see them as often as I can, God willing. I saw Jana in Detroit with her Dearborn friends too.

    1. I knew you wouldn’t miss the concert in your city RoseMarie and I’m doubly happy that you also met Jana.
This year you’ve already heard 5 concerts, what can I say a good number considering that I’ll only go to one. Congratulations!!

  6. Thank you for sharing these fabulous American excerpts, Daniela. I can’t see all the links on FB but I’ll keep looking. I do love how Il Volo share aspects of their lives with us, and I like that you and the others n this group respect their right to privacy. It must be hard to have every single aspect of your life scrutinised and commented on. They share their incredible talent so generously with us through videos and social media generally.. Both Michele and Claudia are staying out of the limelight, it seems to me – and good for them!

    1. Jill, I agree that we should respect the privacy of these three lovely men. IF they post pictures of their loved ones, then it’s fine, we can share them, but the chase or “stolen” pictures, should not be shared by us fas who love them.
They let us see so much of their private life and so we should not overdo it.
Thanks for the compliments, they are always appreciated.

  7. Hi, I’m new to ilvolo, I just started following them during the Christmas season last year when someone posted them singing Nessun Dorma and I was hooked. Their voices are incredible and I can’t wait to see them tomorrow night at Radio City, New York. So Iexcited

    1. I’m so glad for you . I have yet to see them in concert. I will watch on YouTube . Have a great time .
      I’m Linda from Pittsburgh

    2. Welcome to the large group of Il Volo fans, Lillian!
You said it right, you were “hooked”, we’ve all been there and now you’ll look for all the videos and publications possible since Ignazio Piero and Gianluca were put together. There’s a lot to see and read, but beware of scammers, don’t fall into their traps, remember that Il Volo and therefore Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca don’t chat with fans and above all don’t ask for money.
How wonderful you’ll be at Radio City Music Hall, how envious!!

      1. Hi Daniela
I also started following Il Volo from last year, sadly I didn’t know they were in the Uk at the time, I would love to see them in concert.
My friend who is Italian has followed them since they were first formed, and sadly very unwell.
She is an amazing artist. Recently she has drawn portraits of the lovely guys, she decided she wanted to send them by courier to New York Radio city, where I know they will be tonight. Which we know the reception did receive as we had sign and tracking.
I did send an email to the manager to let him know and asked if the portraits could be given by hand to Il Volo.
I know this a big ask and I’m sure they get lots of mail and gifts. But I feel it’s a shame not to receive a response. It would be a kind thing as my friend won’t be around for much longer.
We adore and appreciate their singing and love their humour and commitment.
I follow on Instagram and just watch the videos on Facebook. I know about the scams I was contacted by imposters but fortunately didn’t respond.
I just want to do one last thing for her.
I’m not sure if you can help, I did forward the art to Jana and the crew but don’t know if they were received. I’m sorry for the long email but wanted to explain and just put this out there. If they are nice guys etc it would be amazing to have some response.
Thank you and appreciate your thoughts.

      2. Fenella, after I read your comment I searched my mail and found the email that Jana forwarded me regarding your requests.
Unfortunately, we at Flight Crew do not have direct contact with our beloved boys so I cannot assure you of their response, but if they have received everything it is likely that you will see them exhibited in the HouseTeca in Naro.
I saw your friend’s works and they are very beautiful. A hug!

  8. To my dear Daniela and Pat, thank you again for all you do for us and IL VOLO…..this was a terrific accounting of those last concerts! I was particularly stuck by the woman from the Atlanta concert regarding our three wonders, is she a critic, vocal coach or just a fan? Her review was incredible and so detailed about voices and quality…..it was so impressive and so deserved! I love them so much and it makes my heart so happy to see that and all the responses from all their audiences…standing ovations everywhere, loud clapping and singing with them! I truly love the big smiles on their faces at each ovation, I remember Gian saying at the Clearwater concert, thank you, your appreciation is oxygen for a performer! They I’m really do appreciate great responses and they deserve nothing less. The piece from the Jennifer Hudson Show, she was blown away, she’s one who knows great voices, hers is amazing!
I hope they’ll be back before two and half years again, they are very loved here as in the rest of the world!
With my love and admiration for all you do and all the Flight crew, an amazing group of women, Carol❤️😘🤗💖💖💖🎼🎤🙏☮️👏👏👏👏

    1. Wow!! Carol – what you demonstrate here is an infinite love for our boys & all who are involved with IL Volo – Piero made the statement – they have very loyal fans & indeed they do – loved your comments – you reflect a beautiful soul – much love to you & our girls at Flightcrew.

    2. Did you see Jennifer employees sang to Il volo as they were walking to stage. Employees sang that’s amore to them and changed it to they are here at Jennifer happy place . It was great! You can find it on Jennifer Hudson show on you tube or facebook! Love them❤️

    3. You’re most welcome, Carol! 😊 It is always my pleasure to publish theses posts from Daniela! I’m working on one for the Hollywood/Davie concert. Going thru photos and videos now.

    4. Hi Carol, I have to tell you that I was also struck by the beautiful review of the fan from Atlanta, I think she was a new fan, it was very thorough and beautiful, that’s why I included it in the post, however it is part of the reviews made at the concerts and that you can find at Ticketmaster. If you want to read, everyone can do them, there are about 2500 collected over the years.
      Grazie dei complimenti!

  9. Thank you for keeping us informed about all the concerts. I’m trying to see as many concerts as possible, also. We drove from Minneapolis to all 3 Midwest concerts – Chicago, Cleveland, and Detroit. Three concerts in one week – fabulous. And the mini- concerts at the Sound checks ! I heard my favorite song “E Lucavan le Stelle” six times !
It was so much fun to meet other fans – it was like a huge
family reunion, everyone so friendly, and Il Volo being the ones we are all ”related” to.

    1. Hi Maia, it was great to see you in Cleveland and Detroit. Our guys are in magnificent form on this tour.

    2. Wow Maija three concerts in a row, you had your fill and they didn’t disappoint you, now watch out for the post-concert symptoms, they are terrible!!
You did well to go see them, when will you have another chance??

      1. If Il Volo will have a concert or two in Sicily, I will try to go. I want to see them again, as well as see Sicily.
Although I have a feeling that after this mega- world tour, things might slow down a bit, so the guys can devote more time to their private lives.

  10. Thanks for a great article! I was at the Atlanta concert and, it was amazing!❤️🇮🇹🎶❤️

  11. I can only repeat myself here by once again thanking Daniela, Pat and the Flightcrew Team for taking us along on “Il Volo’s” big Tour of the US/Canada. It is wonderful to learn that they are still very much loved and appreciated “over there” and that it appears to be yet a fantastic and fulfilling Tour for them. I appreciate thoroughly your updates – and I enjoy reading all the excited comments from the American fans in our group posting here. So glad on their behalf that now it has become their turn to enjoy our guys.

It is sad to learn though that Ignazio apparently is still suffering from a cold or flu and has had to hold back and give up performing more than a single solo to protect his voice – but yet again, he is indeed a trooper and seems to be all smiles and fully active on stage leaving it only to those who knows that he is not on top of the world. I really, really hope he’ll be able to do all of his planned soli once they come to New York and what I would think the icing-on-the-cake concert, namely the one in Radio City Music Hall. I cross my fingers.

The fan-review from Atlanta was indeed a pleasure to read – and exactly the way in which I would personally describe a concert with “Il Volo”. It was spot on and snap my own words. “Il Volo” concerts are not “just” concerts. They are so much more and as he/she stipulates, the guys take us along in a way as were we part of the show/their family/their lives. It is awesome – and we leave the theatres filled up with an unexplainable happiness and memories that last for long – plus, unfortunately, likewise an instant urge and craving for yet another concert experience, and one more and….. ;-).

Warmest regards and lots of fun to those of you still having one or more of their concerts in waiting. Kirsten, Denmark

    1. Kirsten – What a beautiful heart you have – you clearly love our stunning IL Volo as much as our extraordinary girls from Flightcrw do – we are fortunate to be the recipients of all that Piero – Ignazio & Gianluca do through Daniela & Pat – they are such a dedicated team & we reap the rewards – I appreciated your wonderful comments & this why I had to display my appreciation – much love Jude.

      1. I agree with you about Kirsten. We have had many wonderful online “chats”. And thank you, Jude, for your compliments about Daniela and me. We are a great team even though we have never physically met. I cannot describe the connection/bond we have after all these years. My hope for the future is to go to Italy and meet. Oh how I wish I could meet many of you sweet Flight Crew members! 😊 💗

      2. Awww Judi – you make me blush. Thanks so much for your sweet and kind words. I am very happy to learn that you enjoy reading my comments and thoughts – it means a lot to me. The Flightcrew forum is indeed a wonderful place for us fans to join up and share our experiences and thoughts and the Flightcrew team is absolutely fantastic and much to be applauded for the huge work they put in day after day to keep us up with the latest info and pamper us with lovely videos – we are indeed lucky! Lots of love – Kirsten

  12. Liebe Daniela, liebe Pat,

Hello quirky! We appreciate your wish to donate to the Flight Crew. We are looking at the PayPal problem to see what can be done and will get back with you.
I am sure that PieroBarone person commenting on that video is a fake profile.

      .
Thank you for your kind words of appreciation, it’s nice to know that what we publish is received with such warmth.

As for the “donations” problem, our administrator is trying to solve the problem.
Surely that link of Piero Barone is a fake, it’s incredible how many fake profiles there are.

Margit, I looked at your subscriber listing on this Flight Crew site. It has that “quirk” name and your email address below it. You will have to go into your WordPress account where you originally signed up and look at it there.
I don’t know why it puts that there and then sometimes it puts your name. It has done that to Daniela before.
Also go to http://www.gravatar.com and see if you can change it.

Margit, I am glad to help. Gravatar is where you go to make an icon or upload a photo of yourself to share on different sites like our Flight Crew blog. I see it still shows a “Q” in the square next to your name, but at leas your name now appears on your comment!

  13. Danke, liebe Pat.
