It was announced that Il Volo would hold a press conference in Venice to talk about the future concert to be held on July 4th in St. Mark’s Square.
The mayor of Venice Luigi Brugnaro received them in the beautiful Ca Farsetti.

The press conference was instead held in the beautiful ballroom of the Correr Museum, where accredited journalists asked them questions, and in the presence of the President of the City Council.
This is how Il Volo began the press conference: “We are excited to open the live season of this city.”
The concert is highly anticipated because it will be the first concert to open the evenings in Piazza San Marco and it is practically sold-out.
The boys said that they will sing both the songs from their repertoire, from bel canto, but also the new songs from Ad Astra.
Numerous newspaper articles spoke about the press conference.
In the following photos some of the newspaper headlines that spoke about Il Volo.
After the press conference, our boys took numerous photos and videos (enable subtitles in videos) to pay homage to the beautiful Venice, which always has a special charm.

The woman with the orange jacket is Ermelinda Damiano and is part of the Venice City Council, she published the photos with these words:
🎶Welcome to #Venice to the extraordinary trio Il Volo!
📣At the Correr Museum the press conference to present the concert in Piazza San Marco by the famous musical group Il Volo “𝑻𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒊 𝑷𝒆𝒓 𝑼𝒏𝒐 – 𝑪𝒂𝒑𝒐𝒍𝒂𝒗𝒐𝒓𝒐”, which will be held on the 4th July in the splendid setting of Piazza San Marco.
✨A magical evening in the most beautiful square in the world to retrace the 15 years of career, successes, recognition and friendship of a young and talented trio who have known and know how to excite entire generations of Italians and beyond.
🤝Thanks to Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio, ambassadors in the world of bel canto, art and Italian culture, who will bring to the Venetian stage the new songs from the first unreleased album and the greatest successes of the Italian musical tradition and those of their own repertoire , showing the many facets of everyone’s artistic evolution.
But how beautiful and interesting Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are while walking in Venice.
Venice is always Venice, full of monuments, squares and the charm of the “calle” where you can travel on the water.
Even if sometimes the images repeat themselves, I wanted to offer you all the videos of Il Volo in Venice that I found.
As I told you, many newspaper articles talked about Il Volo and the press conference. I’ll translate one for you.

Il Volo in Piazza San Marco, inspection for the 4th of July concert
Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble in Venice a month before the event: “It will be the first time for us: we can’t wait. This city is very close to us.”
Sneakers, refined shirts, smiles under the sun kissing Piazza San Marco in Venice.
Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble landed in the square on Tuesday 4 June morning: il Volo.
“All for one. Masterpiece” is the motto of the tour: the group, formed in 2009, won Sanremo in 2015 with the song “Grande Amore”. Now, the wait is for the July 4th concert, which will be held right in the city’s living room, at 9pm.
“We can’t wait for July 4th, for us it’s a first time,” says Ignazio, “Our goal is to make Italy known through music, Venice will be another piece to add to this journey.” Il Volo, in fact, brought the concerts held in Italy as a special to the United States, precisely to show the Bel Paese in another key.
“We feel very close to Venice,” underlines Piero, “We saw a lot of anticipation for this concert, smiles, warmth… we will celebrate 15 years of our career.”
The repertoire will be vast, from Puccini to the present day with the latest album “Ad Astra”.
“Bel canto has been a world heritage site since November, we are kids who are bringing this musical genre to the new generations,” reflects Gianluca, “Culture is also a bit of sacrifice, which requires effort and commitment. We want to be the perfect soundtrack, we grew up here, we passed through Venice on trips… who would have ever thought of playing in this square?”
The three are closer than ever, they are still deciding which piece to open the concert with: Morricone, Puccini? The challenge is between “big” players.
And here is the photo of the beautiful Piazza San Marco where Il Volo will perform.
Even the governor of Venice, Luca Zaia, had nice words of welcome for Il Volo.

After several stops in the Arena in Verona, these three extraordinary young people once again choose Veneto for a stop on their summer tour.
WELCOME! 🦁
And look how beautiful this photomontage is, Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio in Venice in 2009 and today with Torpedine. ❤️
What lovely little boys with so many dreams and hopes, and now what beautiful, successful young men. ❤️❤️❤️
I would say it was a great success. Il Volo was magnificently welcomed by the Veneto Region and was widely and prominently featured in all the Venetian newspapers and broadcasts.
Il Volo thanked us for the wonderful welcome.
There is great anticipation for the concert, but we know that our boys will not disappoint. 😉🥰🥰
That’s all for the moment, but there is no break, before the concert in Venice there is Caracalla in Rome, another great event.
See you very soon with further updates.
Daniela 🤗
