Kelly, I’m jumping up and down because Ignazio is feeling better!
I’m smiling because I’m enjoying “Buon Natale”. Also, because Josie get’s to go to a concert. I would like to be there with her!

Oh and Kelly, thanks for the picture. Brings back some nice memories!

I’m smiling because I have spent the whole day listening to my CD’s of Il Volo, going through twitter, and trying to make sense out of the Spanish. Spending a lot of time on it as I am trying to learn the language. Not doing too badly with what I know, but there is so much to learn. Oh, I forgot, looking through my Piero album again and adding to it mooning over his kissing pictures. Really love that guy…the others too.
Loading...
Do you mean I’m not the only one who has a “Piero album?”
Loading...
Of course not, Mary. I have one, too. And I look through all the pictures any time I want a boost in my spirits. My sister thinks I am doing something criminal, having all these pictures of my favorite guys. Funny thing, though. It’s OK for me to have pictures of Sir Paul & Mark Harmon because they are older. Too Bad! I love my Italians boys, & especially Piero.

So happy that Ignazio is feeling better and can be energized for the rest of their beautiful tour. However, Gianlucas tweets have me concerned about his state of mind. I know he is a very sensitive soul and he does not sound like he’s happy today. I hope tomorrow brings him a lighter heart. Maybe he just needs to talk to his family and get a good nights sleep. I hope he knows how much we love him and want him to enjoy his life with joy in his heart and that beautiful smile on his face.
Loading...
I’m smiling because Piero just keeps getting better and better looking and is always so sweet to his fans. If I ever met him I would love to make him laugh, that would bring me joy. I am thrilled Ignazio is well again. Now I have shifted my prayers towards dear Gianlucca who seems a bit down lately. I think the tour is wearing on him.
Now I am smiling again thinking of dreaming of Piero tonight!
Loading...
Yay!!!!! Ignazio feeling better is a GREAT REASON to smile!!! Thanks for the good news! I hope Piero and Gianluca don’t get sick now!
Loading...
And I am also smiling because Ignazio is feeling better and because I spent my day watching and listening to the We Are Love DVD and following all the important Il volo sites on the Internet. Lovely day !!!!! I think I still have PCSD and I went to their concert on Sept 22 !!!! When does this felling stop ??? I hope never !!!!

Smile………….cause Ignazio is feeling better. I am. Hope Gianluca can pull himself out of his slump so he can enjoy Brasilia. Piero, stay happy and healthy. I still miss them not being in the U. S. and I want them to love us like we love them.

Sorry for the mistakes. There was a sign over the typing area and couldn’t see mistakes!

Gianluca just tweeted that he is going to sleep with a smile on his face. I feel so much better. I love him so much. Now I can stop worrying about him and go to sleep with a smile on my face too .He’s like one of my chlldren and I want to know he is happy and having fun.
Loading...
Gianluca got showered with a lot of love pretty much immediately after those tweets (I made sure we were one of the first. 😉 ). I think Il Volovers have a lot to do with why he is smiling tonight. 🙂

I am smiling because…
– Ignazio is feeling better and has his WiFi
– Gianluca was smiling moments after you all wished he’d be happy & smiling!
– Piero’s Papa makes pasta and tea for him and brings him his toothbrush
– IL VOLO received a Gold Disc in Argentina & Mexico already
I just watched these two fun videos on YouTube
Ignazio Boschetto & The Righteous Brothers sing Unchained Melody
Ignazio Boschetto & Stevie Wonder sing “Overjoyed”
and I’m imagining possibilities for something extra special fun for our Ignazio in a future concert or all Our Boys in a future concert!

Off topic, but I gotta ask…
What happened here
Luna Escondida – Il Volo – Gran Rex Nov 2, 2013
Did Gianluca’s mic cut out, or was it a joke about the guys losing their voices?
Smiling ’cause Ignazio sounded good and was so sweet to Gianluca,

From the comments on Mundial, Gianluca apparently forgot the words. Ignazio went over and hugged Gianluca. I can’t understand what Ignazio said to Gian. My guess is that Ignazio must be trying to comfort Gian and said that it’s going to be okay. I am smiling because of the brotherly love between our guys. They are truly special and precious!
Loading...
Thanks so much, Elaine!
In a way it was even better that Gian momentarily forgot the words (especially since I’ve never seen it happen any other time) because then we got to see that so very precious moment of Ignazio comforting Gianluca.
I agree with you, Elaine! so precious and special!
Our Boys are changing our world one glorious note, hug, smile, joke at a time!

Ladies, I can attest from personal experience that sometimes your mind just goes blank. It has nothing to do with how well you know the words or how often you say/sing them. Also it has nothing to do with stage fright.
Your mind just seizes up and you are a total blank–it is a rather unnerving experience!
Loading...
I also wonder if that has something to do with why Gianluca was feeling down earlier.
Gianluca, please don’t take that to heart. We understand it’s not easy to be perfect when singing live. A little mishaps here and there never take away that fact that you are truly gifted and talented. You are the best singer, performer, and artist in my book. So keep smiling and dreaming. You are loved!
Loading...
It doesn’t surprise me that any one of the guys has a memory lapse once in a while. They have to learn some of the songs in more than one language, and not always in their native language! I think they do a fabulous job with all that they have to learn.
I am smiling because of the compassion they have for each other and the fans. Wouldn’t it be a wonderful world if all people treated each other the way Piero, Gianluca, & Ignazio treat people?
Loading...
Wow–if everyone treat each other the way the boys treat each other, the world would be a totally different place!
Loading...
Darn! I’m just having one of those moments where I want to tell a story that I think really relates, at the same time that no one may understand a word I write. I’ve started and stopped myself 6 times. I give up. I’ll just take a risk and share it.
I’m thinking of the moment when Gianluca blanked and then Ignazio said something, which I didn’t catch, and hugged Gian. Did you notice, too, how beautifully the audience responded ~ just as we did? With awe, love, sweet-heartedness. If Gianluca hadn’t experienced that momentary lapse, the sweet open-hearted moment might not have been as rich as it was.
So that’s the backdrop. Here’s the analogy that I can’t get out of my mind. Every year at Christmas our Quaker Meeting has a kids’ pageant, and Angelo, a vet’s miniature donkey is always part of it. Angelo is the sweetest kid-friendly donkey you could imagine, a true angel. In fact, Angelo has been together with his donkey mate Gabby for 23 years, and they just had another baby donkey. Well, last Christmas Angelo had his little in-the-church-building donkey diaper on, but somehow it didn’t work, and he pooped right there on the sanctuary floor during the service. The vet’s granddaughter called out loudly, “The donkey pooped!” Well, you can imagine that we all busted up laughing. I could feel Angelo embarrassed (I do animal communication), and I silently told him, “No, Angelo, what you did was perfect. We all needed to laugh! You did a great job!”
From my own unique perspective, it takes a great soul to allow something that is outside of the box (donkeys pooping in church or incredible singers forgetting a line) to serve a positive purpose (laughter, brotherly love, connection) and not to stay stuck in some silly belief that we have to be perfect or to do things according to some kind of Emily Post protocol. As I see it, Gianluca and Angelo each served such a sweet purpose, one which touched and opened our hearts. May they each feel the blessing of the moment and not hold any embarrassment when they look back.
Loving these simply angel-inspired moments,

God bless Ignazio for doing that. I didn’t catch any of that. Why did Mundial feel the need to call attention to Gianluca forgetting words, no one would even have noticed it. He is way to hard on himself. I hope that is not the reason why he seemed so upset Sunday, we fans remember all of the times he remembered the words and sings so magnificently!!!!

Ruth, can you believe that it was nearly 50 years ago that the Beatles invaded America? I was 12 & I fell in love with Paul. And even though I still love them, IL VOLO has jumped to the top of my hit parade. And Piero has bumped Paul down to #2 in my heart.
Loading...
Ruth, we ARE kindred spirits for it was The Beatles that first woke me up to the wonders of music and good looking guys! I even got to see them in concert when they came to Portland Oregon, I must have been about 11 at the time! No other group grabbed me like they did until our sweet IL Volo came on the scene. Now three Italians have my heart especially one with red glasses. Thank you dear George but its Piero’s turn now. IL Volo is all about the love!

Piratesorka – Join the over 50 group. I’m 87! and ilVolo is my #1 music group. I went to their concert in Concord,CA, and although I was way up in the stands, really enjoyed them. Then – someone posted some of their songs from that concert
on Facebook and so I got to hear them again “up close”.

Audrey, I happily join the over 50 group! I am so envious you got to go to the concert in Concord. The closest I came was Vancouver but sadly could not manage it so I get my thrills watching Youtube concerts instead. Thanks!

The doldrums ! This is period of time on concert tours where you have been doing the very thing you love to do (singing in concerts) but after doing it over and over it becomes a weight around your neck. You feel like you weigh 400 lbs and cannot move. from airplane to hotel to theater and back to hotel and on the plane and then to hotel and, etc. etc. I think Gianluca helped himself very much when he went to the gym and worked out. _probably too much sitting around. Whoever said it was right – he is a passionate kid and that works both ways.
Loading...
It is amazing how comfortable he feels with the fans to reach out as he did. Others may just wallow in their misery, he at least looked for moral support. But all of them have been a bit homesick and melancholy, which also happens when you don’t feel well. Physical fatigue is one thing and you can overcome that, but emotional, mental, or spiritual fatigue can be debilitating. Keep the prayers going, this battle is not finished.

Some you have emailed me to contact Barbara about their very tight schedule in hopes of getting time off. First, of all, I have already done that early on and it is almost too late now to change anything without a lot of trouble. That is why I wrote earlier that I was sad that they added the fourth concert to Sao Paulo – it’s too much. But she is used to hearing it from me. You all can certainly do your own emails. It is not Barbara that sets this up. She is one of the good guys. It is the Latin branch of Live nation that keeps pushing. If you do email Barbara make the text short and to the point as she reads most of them on her blackberry. Also, I have gotten the impression from some emails that the boys slip into bad habits once in a while on these long tours and they are very independent (stubborn ? )

Having talked with the guys I always feel a sense of each watching the other’s back. Today getting back into the gym was a good sign.

Ignazio is being humble by saying they are ugly, they are so NOT ugly they are the most beautiful young men I have ever seen besides my grandson.& sons. Their voices are like Angels from heaven. Ignazio’s sense of humour is on a par with Danny Kay in my opinion., I am sure everyone remembers Danny Kay the comedian. Gianluca is singing better than Frank Sinatra & Piero can be every bit as good as Placido Domingo. And my love for them especially Ignazio has already reached beyond the stars.
Now that I know why Ignazio went over to Gianluca at the concert, look how loving they are towards each other. I have never seen that in ANY other group. I am bursting with pride of them. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we could personally know them, wishful thinking.

Loretta, what a coincidence! A friend of mine just sent me a video of Danny Kaye and Louis Armstrong and I just this minute finished watching it and went to read the blog. Danny Kaye was indeed marvelous–enjoy this, I am sure other will too. http://youtu.be/jm6ktYq0Yxk

Loretta: Would it be a cop-out for me to just say “ditto!”? You’ve said it so well.

Myron I knew it had to be the greed of Live Nation that is pushing them & booking concerts on top of each other with NO regard for their health of downtime to recharge.
Attention Board members, this is just a suggestion I would like to put forth. Is it possible for the Board & all the members here to write a letter via Barbara to the management to suggest better spacing between concerts or better still for management to find someone else as a promoter who has more compassion & not so money hungry to book concerts. I know we are only fans but is that overstepping the mark by making a suggestion like that or is that going beyond what the guys want. I am not trying to tell anyone what to do but just my own idea. Individually I don’t believe the management would listen to one or even a few people writing but as the Flight Crew who Barbara already knows & as I am sure the rest of the management have heard of us perhaps they would think about a solution & discuss with the the Il Volo boys. From the way their health was affected & the feeling as if the the show must go on with no reprieve,I think their stamina was damaged a bit & also I was concerned that sickness could affect their voices when they keep singing because they can’t stop.
I am just an elderly lady putting my heart on my sleeve here & writing what I feel.
Loading...
Loretta I have long felt what you wrote above about the pace of their concerts. What I don’t understand is why someone (Barbara, Mr. Torpedine, their parents) doesn’t look at the schedule and say WHOA–that is too much! After they make a schedule someone has to okay it. Why don’t they put their collective feet down? I don’t get it.
Live Nation seems to be greedy and in some ways incompetent. Remember the flap about the tickets at the beginning of the tour? That was them too. And I bet they are the ones who set the prices–a huge jump for one year to the next. And frankly, if Streisand commands those prices, the boys should not be as expensive.

Thank you LindaP
Penina that was wonderful thank you, I loved Danny Kay so much & never missed a movie & I saw him at the O’Keefe Centre years ago shortly after it was built & also at the CNE stadium. At the stadium we were sitting way off to the left of the stage & at that time there were no screens to see the performer on stage but he got across to everyone his comedic performance & everyone was rolling in their seats. He was perfect singing with Louis Armstrong, he is the only one who could repeat what Louis Armstrong was saying in his jumbled way.. Thanks again I’m going to keep that link.

I’m smiling because I get so much joy out of Ignazio’s sense of humour & antics on stage.

I’m smiling because while looking at pictures on “All Things Il Volo” I finally realized the pattern: Ignazio puts on a red wig – Piero smiles at us and laughs at Ignazio – Gianluca looks like a million dollar model! Ignazio jumps around the stage – Piero gives us the love sign – Gianluca looks like a million dollar model! Ignazio makes a funny face – Piero shapes his fingers into a heart and laughs at Ignazio – Gianluca looks like a million dollar model! Anyone else see a pattern here?
Loading...
Gianluca looks like a million dollar model, but is not conceited like one would be and sings like he’s worth a million dollars too!
Loading...
Each has their own pattern of what works for them & I think Ignazio will always want to make people laugh, Piero will always want to be the buffer for Ignazio & the serious one & Gianluca will always be the model ready to act at a moments notice. That is my take on them.
Loading...
Good take on their pattern’s, Marie. It all seems to work so well for them!!
Loading...
Well, I know it works for me!

Isn’t it great how each one of our boys has such a distinct personality which we love, and they blend so perfectly together? Much like their voices each so gorgeous individually, yet together they make a sound out of this world–so perfectly blended. They are truly amazing young men. Their talent defies description, but I think it’s their warmth and sincerity that really brings it home. Can you feel the love tonight Gian, Piero and Nazio?

Loretta, I couldn’t agree with you more. we need to say something. and not individual e-mails, but with one voice from Flight Crew. maybe put it in an e-mail to Barbara or write it in her Twitter. the team would know how best to do it, but I think we should say something in support of our boys.
by the way, I put forward 2 suggestions some time ago in the section “In case you missed it” 10/31/13, and soon after comments were closed, so I don’t think anybody saw it because I did not get any comments on it. Loretta, go to that post, it is a little way back, and tell me what you think

Of course I’m smiling because Ignazio is better! Can’t though, wonder how the parents feel about the schedule. At least it’s good that they are there to monitor things. I am a little concerned about Gianluca, and agree with Myron. Yes it is exhausting, both physically & mentally, and yes that is what they want to do, however with no recoup time, it will wear on the body & mind. Gianluca, being the more subdued, serious interspective one, will of course be the one to miss that time to himself. Very difficult to acquire under these circumstances! We must continue our prayers for all of them. I only wish there was a more direct way to help. Thank God for the closeness & understanding they have for one another. They are very young and strong which is a good thing, but, at the same time, probably much to get use to so quickly. We love you Gianluca, Piero, & Ignazio; please know that we are always standing behind you, giving all the support you should ever need. Blessings
Loading...
I think Gianluca is sending a message to some people(s) (???) that he is not happy with some thing(s) (???) I don´t think he’s subdued, he knows exactly what he wants. It is very clearly for me in his yesterday´s tweets ” I want to be alone, be free, nervous, tired, locked in a cage” For me this is a message that something is not very well around him.
Loading...
I mentioned above the idea of what we used to call the “doldrums” a period of time on a concert tour where there are some set backs due to being tired or ill and it makes the task of doing what you really love most (singing in a concert) much more difficult than normal. You can actually wish to stop doing the loved task – at least for a while. Today’s signals seem to be more positive and that is good. They had a little time off before the head into the Sao Paulo stretch. One little bright spot coming is that they get to change the program after Panama to the Christmas program.
a repeat from earlier: Gianluca got exercise and swimming in today and you add that to better rest and more careful food consumption and he will get better in both ways. We all watch after him so carefully just like we do Ignazio and Piero.
Loading...
Myron, thanks so much for your posts! It’s good to hear from somebody on the “inside” of Il Volo’s lives. People have to remember how very young they are, and a big part of Gianluca’s problem is probably because he’s homesick…not to mention how little time off they are getting between concerts. Hopefully future tours will not be like this one in that regard.
Loading...
Thanks for your insights, Myron, and for the hopes that the exercise, good food, and some relaxation will help.
Wishing you soar alone and free, relaxed, and rejuvenated in your dreams tonight, Gianluca!
Un beso,

We also have to keep in mind that Gianluca likes to send us on little scavenger hunts, if you will, posting lines and lyrics to songs he’s listening to at the moment. While I also worry about his emotional health more than the others, sometimes I think he’s just having fun with his fans. 🙂

I agree with you, but after read his comment in italian on his facebook page “Hai mai provato la sensazione di essere lì, a bordo di un precipizio e non sapere che fare? Tra fare un passo indietro e lasciarti andare, scegli di lasciarti andare, se non ti è dato di trovare un solido terreno, credimi, imparerai a volare.” I realized that there are more than homesick and tiredness. But in his latest tweets, I see he is ok., that´s what matters. I end here this subject.
Loading...
You are 100% right about the song lyrics that he uses Kyalpn, but I looked online at lyrica and there are NO lyrics about feeling locked in a cage which he tweeted and on his own FB 2 days ago he asked if anyone has ever felt like they were standing on the edge of a cliff and didn’t know what to do, again, not found in song lyrics. I am thankful this tour is almost over. Its been too grueling for them. I was very happy at the outpouring of love that fans sent to Gianluca so he could know he is loved. He needs to confide in his father, but what can Dad do to lessen the demand on them and the hard work they are doing? I am sure everybody will pay for Gianluca (and all 3 of course).

I’m smiling at Ignazio and his cle tactics when the girls stormed the stage at the end of the concert in Argentina. Ignazio saw one coming for him just as he was finishing singing, and he was ready. He just picked her up and swung her round, took her off her feet. they must have trained them a bit for this kind of thing happening and He executed it with precision, the girl didn’t have time to think she was just swept off her feet. well done Ignazio, you can now be a security guard as well as a chef, a pilot and a singer.you got it all boy!!

Totally love Piero’s introducing the band! Reminds me of something, as a teacher, we would do. Ya gotta keep it cool and keep things moving and redirected.
I saw the same thing in Piero in Radio City Music Hall after Ignazio’s tribute video. Piero is definitely our “on point” man! (; >)

For JDB, & sorry if this gonna be bit long…anyway here you go:
Sounds like interview was done before the starting of the tour. Its pretty much the same general questions they answers in order to present themselves and the new CD themes and tour, plus some personal intimate feelings.
I will not put the question down u can figure them out from the answers they give.
Ignazio speaking abt the change their lives went through at such young age,
Piero recalling the beginning of all, tv program and all that followed,
saying that after signing contract in two years they were in 105 different cities, but underlines that they do what they love.
Ignazio recalling a previous concert in Mexico were fans jumped in the water that was in front of the stage dividing it from from the audience and as the fans climbed wet on the stage while they were singing
GG explains they like different music styles including Lady Gaga but that they sing Pop Lirico i.e. classical songs in a fresher way
and viceversa pop song in more classic way, and they have a romantic ‘repertoire’ but that they like to speak of love also in more general way not only between lovers, all kind of love as between brothers friends parents and people.
Piero details about the songs of the album and tour
GG Explains about and shows how many twits they receive from the fans and reads some of them showing like some girls helping them correct their Spanish and sending them loads of picture and drawings etc.
Ignazio recall that in Detroit was given a t-shirt and after quite some time he realized that on the inside were written the name and details of the person, so he contacted to apologise for not having seeing it before..
Then Piero explains what the tour will be, they all say it’ s a crazy life and that they miss the family GG explaining he misses his family grandfather, brother,
Piero says he cannot speak on phone with his little sister because she start crying, and Ignazio says he never has regrets only that sometimes they think what their life would have been like, if all this wouldn’t have happened, what would they have done as job and interviewer asks about their father jobs, but Ignazio explains he is happy they are transmitting their love for music
On love question Ignazio explains that love is the only thing he is afraid of, not knowing if a girl would really love him for himself .
GG explains that he could fall in love easily because he is romantic and would give all of himself, like seems already have occurred and was not understood, so he agrees with Ignazio,
while Piero more pragmatic says he does not fall in love because he cannot now with the sort of life they ‘r leading, but that the day he will, he will want to marry and have five or six kids.
Then they reply what they do at night, and they say they go out have fun only when they do no have promotions or concerts because are very responsible towards their career and engagements.
On food they explain that it is sometimes difficult because especially for Piero who is intolerant to a number of food like lactose and pork meat etc., then they add how they love food in Argentina.
Pls do not mind typing error and other mistakes and omissions, as I am not native Spanish speaker so you may find a better translation around web. Cheers JDB

Wow, mlla! This is fantastic! I love how much more depth they went into here, even the boys talking about love and their feelings around it.
What an incredible job you did for not being a native Spanish speaker! I am so grateful!
Every time Piero talks about his sister crying, I think about the TAT I do that helps release stress and limiting beliefs and so on. I once wrote to Barbara Vitali to share with Piero that I would be happy to do a TAT with them, which could help, so that his sister could be in contact and not be so overwhelmed and crying. I haven’t heard back. I pray that whatever is for their highest good transpires. I just hate to see both Piero and his sister sad, when TAT can be so very helpful. Wishing them love and blessings as I think of this!
Smiling with joy at knowing more about this amazing interview!
Cheers to you, mlla!

Thanks Mlla for the translation, I feel bad that Piero can’t talk to his sister on the phone without her crying. Sad.

I’d love a translation, too! Isn’t it funny how we’ll sit and watch an entire interview when we don’t understand a word (well, I can pick out a few words…) We just like LOOKING at them! Smiling!

It is pretty amazing when you think of it! And we all do it, which makes it even funnier. Especially the LOOKING and SMILING part!

that’s sure right!! but you know at some stage, somebody always puts out a translation, it’s as if all our thoughts get heard. by the way I hope you read their interview in San Paulo. it’s on Team Il Volo. I long hand all these inteviews to keep in my portfolio of them and sometimes I just pick up the file and go through some, it’s like going down memory lane, I go into dreamland for a while. (I actually go into dreamland every time I put on their music, it’s as if they alone exist, everything else gets blocked out and time stops)
I thank God everyday for all of you on this site because I have no one else who would understand and I would have burst long ago, I could not keep it all inside, I would have had to talk to the walls.
I just remembered something. today, when I was at Mass, the bible passage was about what love is, and the priest explained different situations, and I immediately said to myself”I know what love is. Love is Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio. they have sacrificed over and over again for their fans no matter how tired they are. they care for their families. they truly give, and not look to take all they can get for themselves. I saw them as an example to me of what Love really is

Deanne, what beautiful words. Someone said somewhere that they wonder if Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio have any idea of the impact they have on people’s lives. In the past two years, I lost my beloved husband of 36 years (he had a heart attack) and my oldest daughter and son-in-law had a stillborn son in July of this year. In August, I was channel-surfing one night and happened upon “Live at the Detroit Opera House” on PBS,and I was immediately smitten. I had never heard of Il Volo before. I couldn’t believe their voices…or how young they were! I’m an old rock ‘n roll hippie, and if anybody had ever told me I’d be in love with “operatic pop” I probably would have laughed. Well, now I finally do laugh again, thanks to Il Volo. They represent to me all good things…life, laughter, love, compassion–the list goes on. Listening to their music (every day!) is like meditation to me. I am calmed and at peace and happy again when I hear them. They, to me, are gifts from God, and I’m so glad they are here to bring their beautiful music and love to us all.

I am so happy for you Ruth that IL VOLO has lifted you up. They’ve been know to do that for us, ya know?

Do you mean I’m not the only one who has a “Piero album?”
Yay!!!!! Ignazio feeling better is a GREAT REASON to smile!!! Thanks for the good news! I hope Piero and Gianluca don’t get sick now!
Overjoyed…

Off topic, but I gotta ask…
What happened here
Luna Escondida – Il Volo – Gran Rex Nov 2, 2013
Did Gianluca’s mic cut out, or was it a joke about the guys losing their voices?
Smiling ’cause Ignazio sounded good and was so sweet to Gianluca,
~ Jeanine D.
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Ladies, I can attest from personal experience that sometimes your mind just goes blank. It has nothing to do with how well you know the words or how often you say/sing them. Also it has nothing to do with stage fright.
Your mind just seizes up and you are a total blank–it is a rather unnerving experience!
Wow–if everyone treat each other the way the boys treat each other, the world would be a totally different place!
Loving these simply angel-inspired moments,
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Loving all your comments!
And… How many of US were wonderful people before we found IL VOLO and yet are so much MORE uplifted, open-hearted, prayer-full, glowing with Love, Light-Hearted, happy, authentic, expressive, and more as a result of IL VOLO.
That said… the world IS becoming a totally different place: IL VOLO Land!! The only Land I care to Live in! (; >)
The greatest thank you we can probably give Our Guys is to share the Love that they have given us. What a legazy! Whew! Got some tears goin’ on that one.
In Love,
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
I’m glad to hear that Ignazio is feeling better. I also saw a video of Ignazio talking to the man who wanted the song “Smile” sung, Ignazio squated down & shook his hand & the man kissed his hand. Ignazio was so kind & gentle towards him. In my book he is so precious.
Thanks you girls for praying along with me.
Thank YOU, Loretta, for leading us in this!
Feels great to smile, doesn’t it?!
(; >) Jeanine D.
I am smiling because I found Il Volo and through them have met some incredible loving and generous people. In Il Volo world age, sex, religion, political affiliation, economic status doesn’t mean anything. We just “Share the Love”. Thank you everyone!
Thank you Lijoy. It’s a wonderful world!
I am smiling I found Il Volo too, and all the things you mention lijoy!
I’m smiling because no matter what, we all love our “Boys” unconditionally. I’m smiling because Ignazio is better and has wifi! I’m smiling because they love and support one another!!
I’m smiling because our prayers are heard.
I’m smiling because their hearts are so loving.
I’m smiling because we have IL VOLO to fill our days.
I’m smiling because certain ladies decided we needed a better fan site.
Thank you Board, thank you all who participate here!
Gianluca was singing Ignazio’s part when he forgot the words. Ignazio showed how much he loves Gianluca when he went over and hugged him. Love these young men!
I’m smiling because each passing day brings the day closer when my darling boys are coming to see me (plus a few others) at the Mall of America.
Mary, plus a few THOUSAND others! JHope you get to the front of the line!
I’m smiling because I am so HAPPY to have found IL Volo Flight Crew! Earlier it was as if I was wandering alone and not able to share my love of IL Volo and the joy they bring me. Now I feel like I am part of a greater group of like minded people. I’m sure some of my friends think I have lost my mind at 60 over a “boy band” But here I feel I am in good company with people who have incredible good taste in music!
I’m smiling because we found you Pirate!
Grazie Marie!
pirate, I feel another kindred spirit in you! I’m 61 and have gone “bonkers” over Il Volo! My two grown daughters are a little concerned about me…I told them I feel as giddy about Il Volo as I did/do about The Beatles 50 (!!!) years ago. Keep it up, Sistah! Spread the love, because that’s what they are.
Pirate, you and I are kindred spirits! I’m 61, and I feel as giddy about Il Volo as I did over The Beatles 50 (!!!) years ago! (Don’t get me wrong, I still love my Beatles, too!) My two grown daughters think I’m a bit bonkers, but that’s okay. I’ve earned that right! Keep spreading the love, sistah, because that’s what Il Volo is all about!
Okay, didn’t mean for there to be two similar posts above, but the first one didn’t show up…so I wrote another, obviously! Computer glitch, I guess. Carry on! 😀
Ruth, can you believe that it was nearly 50 years ago that the Beatles invaded America? I was 12 & I fell in love with Paul. And even though I still love them, IL VOLO has jumped to the top of my hit parade. And Piero has bumped Paul down to #2 in my heart.
I’m smiling because, even tho it’s a gray, chilly day here, Ignazio is better! Hooray! And I agree with everything said above! And yes, Piero seems to get more and more handsome. How I love that guy!
Allene, I bet you have a Piero photo album, too. He is just gorgeous.
Gianluca looks like a million dollar model, but is not conceited like one would be and sings like he’s worth a million dollars too!
Each has their own pattern of what works for them & I think Ignazio will always want to make people laugh, Piero will always want to be the buffer for Ignazio & the serious one & Gianluca will always be the model ready to act at a moments notice. That is my take on them.
Good take on their pattern’s, Marie. It all seems to work so well for them!!
Sometimes I scare myself! I have mail ready to go and lost your email addy….this is from Il Volo Seriously who wanted folks to see just how hard our boys work. May i have the addy again please? Marti
Sure ilvoloflightcrw@outlook.com
Marti and everyone, you can always email us. Go to Around the Blog, “About: The Flight Crew Board”
Blessings
Thanks for your insights, Myron, and for the hopes that the exercise, good food, and some relaxation will help.
Wishing you soar alone and free, relaxed, and rejuvenated in your dreams tonight, Gianluca!
Un beso,
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
If I am not mistaken, that was also the third different orchestration of Luna. I don’t think I could keep it straight either.
Where can I find that video, please. I’ve had no luck. Always like to watch Ignazio’s kindness.
Kitty, that video is on Youtube. In the search box, type in “Il Volo Luna Escondida Gran Rex Buenos Aires Nov. 2” and you should be able to access it. I’m sorry I don’t have the link, but that’s how I found it.
I just watched it. How cute are they? Better than watching puppies. Doesn’t that just make them more real?
Ignazio, I put my star over the right man!
I just found another adorable video…YouTube, put “Surrender Il Volo Gran Rex Primer Concierto”…Gianluca and Ignazio both do some dancing in this one…oh, yeah, I’m SMILING!! They’re so cute I can’t stand it! 😀
Oh, and another one! This is Piero and Ignazio doing the weather on a news show in L.A.: YouTube, “El estado Tiempo por Piero e Ignazio Il Volo Good Day L.A.” Piero almost knocks Ignazio over to get him out of his way…SMILING again!
That video is a total riot. I wonder where Gianluca was while all this was going on?
You know, from what I’ve observed, Piero and Ignazio like to goof around in public more than Gianluca does. He was probably sitting on the sidelines, enjoying the weather report….
I am smiling because I have spent the better part of today catching up on watching wonderful YOU TUBE excerpts from recent concerts!!! It warms my heart! 🙂
I am also smiling as I was able to meet the other “Minnesota Mary”…having lunch and a wonderful time talking IL VOLO!!
Okay, I found the first part of the “Good Day LA” clip…they sing “Maria.” It was also Piero’s birthday. YouTube, “Il Volo Takes Flight and Sings Songs of Love.”
Thanks for the video info, Ruth! I enjoyed it!
I’m smiling now because, after an extremely hard start to my day, hearing Angel, Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Surrender, Maria, and We Are Love, helped me shift into relief and peace. I could not have done it without my IL VOLO family!
Thank you so much for being there for me, ragazzi!
Amore e pace,

I’m smiling at Ignazio and his cle tactics when the girls stormed the stage at the end of the concert in Argentina. Ignazio saw one coming for him just as he was finishing singing, and he was ready. He just picked her up and swung her round, took her off her feet. they must have trained them a bit for this kind of thing happening and He executed it with precision, the girl didn’t have time to think she was just swept off her feet. well done Ignazio, you can now be a security guard as well as a chef, a pilot and a singer.you got it all boy!!
Deanne, I still haven’t found this video. Can you post the description, so I can pull it up on YouTube? Now I want to see it more than ever! (; >)
Thanks!
~ Jeanine D.
Jeanine, it’s “Il Volo O Sole’ Mio Teatro Gran Rex Argentina 2013”.
Piero, as usual, remains unflappable, and starts introducing the band members. Cool as a cucumber, our Piero! Carry on!
Thanks so much, Ruth! Ignazio’s move was amazing. Guess all his dance moves come in handy! This is one of those times that I’m glad there are bouncers / body guards. That one young lady was pretty persistent.
Personally, I hope there isn’t more of that mob kind of thing. Although I love the balloons and some cute little moves by Piero!
Really appreciated being able to see this!

I’m smiling because Our Boys are so relaxed and enthusiastic in this 2-part interview which was recorded pre-tour.
Entrevista Il Volo – Noctámbulos [1/2]
Entrevista Il Volo – Noctámbulos [2/2]
Sure would love to know what is being said. That is, anything that is not obvious and that is new (compared to previous interviews). If anyone understood and is willing to share a bit, that would be most lovely.
Meanwhile, Our Boys are looking so handsome and energized here!

~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
as a matter of fact and as u can see from mistakes, not a native English speaker either…but is middle of the night here and I typed directly while listening, good night from this side of the world.
Buona notte and grazie mille!
~ Jeanine D.
R, scroll up on this page.
Milla, thank you so very much for the translation! We need you, don’t go away! 🙂
Yep, we all’s CRAZY! HAPPY crazy!
that’s sure right!! but you know at some stage, somebody always puts out a translation, it’s as if all our thoughts get heard. by the way I hope you read their interview in San Paulo. it’s on Team Il Volo.
