Il Volo Professional ~~ Awards of Recognition and Soccer Tournies

Hey!

This post wasn’t meant to be an official Recap, but they are moving so fast this week, that it basically is…sorry about that.  🙁

Piero Recognized with Award

While The Guys were in the US, Piero’s parents accepted an award from ANSABBIO and the City of Naro on his behalf for his work with them.

(from the Facebook page of Cinzia Lisinicchia, contributor to the event):

“I GENITORI DEL NOSTRO ORGOGLIO NARESE PIERO BARONE RITIRANO UNA TARGA DI RICONOSCIMENTO DA PARTE DI ANSABBIO E COMUNE DI NARO

(translation) PARENTS OF OUR PRIDE NARESE, PIERO BARONE, WITHDRAW A PLAQUE OF RECOGNITION BY ANSABBIO AND THE CITY OF NARO”
The presentation took place during the Evento Ansabbio Naro “Progetto Di Sensibillizzazione”  (Ansabbio Naro Event Sensibillizzazione Project) in late June.

Congratulations, Piero!  And Bless you for your work!

Gianluca Watches Soccer

Gianluca took his love of soccer to the local level and was a special guest at a regional soccer tournament in Roseto degli Abruzzi.  These pictures were originally posted by @theilvoloversmx, but I found them thanks to our own, LiJoy.

Roseto_degli_Abruzzi-Stemma-Icon Roseto degli Abruzzi, more commonly Roseto, is a town and commune of the province of Teramo in the Abruzzo region of central Italy.

You can learn more about it on Wikipedia by

I have to admit that the beach resort thing has me most intrigued.    😉

  1. Piero and Gianluca, thank you so much for your community activism and warm hearts! Congratulations for your well-deserved recognition and appreciation!

And thank you, Ignazio, for, along with your IL VOLO brothers, spreading Love and Joy wherever you are!

Kelly, greatly appreciated! No worries on timing. It’s all just right!

  2. Congratulations to all of you for all the ways you get involved, you are all givers and you are so loved for that, you have given so much of yourselves to us, your fans, thank you!!!

  3. Congratulations Piero and Gialuca for being involved in your communities activities. And to Ignazio, too. Your warm hearts make us love you even more (as if that were possible)!

  4. Thank you for this information, I had not seen it before! Piero has such a tender heart and love for children that is truly beautiful. I love it!

  5. Could not open the Comments page on Porta Porta page but watched the whole thing for 1-1/2 hours!!!! FABULOUS!! These Boys are amazing and it is a blessing that they got together. They are talented, sweet, gorgeous, intelligent, awesome, and have beautiful hearts. So happy I have followed their careers and have met them twice. You have to watch the whole show till the end. You don’t have to understand Italian, their personalties shine no matter where they are. Didn’t think I could love them any more than I do.

  6. just two quick words and a couple of links
the guys will have guests at their concerts in Italy and one of them, latin-jazz fisarmonica (accordeon) player is from Abruzzo invited by Gianluca for a couple of song. He will be in Taormina. Hope you enjoy him as well, and as much as I do.

  7. Good things coming from good people. Nice community involvement. Last winter Gianluca talked about moving to L.A. but that does not seem to have happened yet. I think it is great that they still live at home and hope they keep on as long as possible.

    1. I believe they will also have guests in Naples, the wave started quite some years ago now, of the Neapolitan music/musicians, but I shall try to tell more later as names will be confirmed

      1. Thanks Mlla the Accordianist was spectacular I long to hear a tango played with the accordian. Our guys are generous with their knowledge that they love to share it & help others along the way. They have always been top quality.

  8. Mlla, thanks for the link. this man Daniele Falasco is soooo good, no wonder Gianluca had such a wonderful smile in the picture taken with him. He knew something was coming! I look forward to seeing him perform with them. these people in Italy are not only good looking, but very talented too and Il Volo is helping to make them famous too. I am getting a full education from Il Volo, my family are always shocked that I know all these great people that they have never heard off. my secret!!!

  9. It’s always wonderful to see people getting recognition for the good that they do quietly. As if we needed more proof the The Boys’ kindness and generosity! The world needs more people like them.

  10. I haven’t been able to bring up the “comments page” for:

Il Volo Professional – Recap Edition: Porta a Porta Spring 2014
    and
Joanie’s Meet and Greet Experience at The Palace Theater – Stamford. CT, 2014

Is anyone else having this problem? What can I do to fix t?

    1. I’m sorry you’re having trouble, Allene. I’m not sure what is going on. I know Anne said she couldn’t comment on Porta a Porta, but I haven’t had trouble, and there are comments on both… 🙁 I will have to see if an IT representative can help me figure it out…

    1. Is this happening when you try to use the link in the e-mail? I’m wondering if this is the same problem Jeanine has been having… *frowning*… Let me try something…

  11. I don’t see my comment here so I think it didn’t go through. lso the print is very light. Joanie G
