Our own mlla, MN continues, “Sicily has been a grain-producing territory for the Ancient Romans. As today, oranges, lemons, olives, capers, almonds and pistachio, grapes and figs, but also tomatoes, eggplants and peppers broccoli are just a part of its large agricultural production. To be noted the production of cheese namely the famous Ricotta, the Pepato or the Caciocavallo. Honey is also produced in large quantities and flavors due to the richness of the flora.
Fisheries represent another part of the economy as well as tourism, the latter, due to beauty of the natural landscapes, the baroccan cities, the numerous archeological sites and of course the food and the wines like Nero d’Avola or Marsala or the sweet Passito and Zibibbo are known world wide.
At the end of your dinner you will likely to be offered the tasty Almond flavored white wine.Tourists and voyagers can enjoy the typical dishes like the home made pastas recipes: Pasta alla Norma (named out of Vincenzo Bellini opera), Pasta con le sarde, Pasta con acciughe e finocchietto, as well as the famous Arancini, la Caponata, le Melanzane alla parmigiana, not to mention the well known pastries and cakes: Cannoli siciliani, Cassata, Frutta Martorana and the Modica chocolate to name a few.”

I haven’t had time to read the blogs or comments, and now here I am asking a couple off-topic questions…. I promise to share the results afterwards.
So… I am putting together an IL VOLO party around the Taormina concert (holy moly that was spectacular!) I’m creating a playlist with names of songs, their video time-markers, and when each song was first “published” or if not that, which tour it was introduced.
Maybe someone can help me with the few bits of info I’m missing:
On the recording available by searching YouTube for
IL VOLO CONCERTO COMPLETO DAL TEATRO GRECO DI TAORMINA – FULL HD
at 59:50 the ragazzi, I didn’t get the name of their band or the name of that song
and the name of the next song at 1:04:31
at 1:20:33 the Italian name of the song is Anema e core. Is “Until” the correct name for the English lyrics? and does anyone know the spelling of the accordion player’s name? Is it Daniele Palaska? (also mentioned in the last few minutes of the videos, when IL VOLO is thanking the band)
If you haven’t seen the concert vid, you will love it!!

Regarding the song Anema e Core, it seems to me that the English title should be “Heart and Soul” but I have never seen it written with regard to Il Volo. I also never saw it called “Until.” As for the accordionist, his name is Daniele Falasca. And yes, I love that concert too! I have watched it several times. I think it is one of the best, if not THE best, Il Volo concerts anywhere! They just get better and better – waiting to see Pescara next week!

Marie, any information about Ignazio’s composing? What about the song being sung by the “Duo Sisters” at an upcoming competition,,,,,what is the name of the song, It seems he is composing and arranging. Would like to know more about that. Just no end to his talent. (I’m sure you have a comment about that .)

Mary, you know my Boy and I sometimes have trouble communicating. He’s not telling me what he’s doing right now. I think he’s mad about the me and Piero thing. There is no end to his talent! When he calls I’ll ask him about the composing.
Marie, thanks for the tweet. I tweeted a picture of Piero and me from the Saratoga concert. While in Rome I’d love to go to Marsala and see Ignazio’s family restaurant but it would involve a flight & renting a car, don’t know if I’m that brave but I’ll sure let you know if I do manage it. Wish I knew their schedule for end of Sept & October.
I would go to Italy for a weekend just to eat !!! The food there is absolutely delicious !! Yummy !!
I found that when I was in Italy you could drink an entire bottle of wine and not get drunk or tired. I don’t think their wine contains sulfites. Maybe that’s why you can drink such large quantities and not feel the effects ? I really don’t know ? I do know that most people in Italy have wine with their lunch and are able to go back to work and function. I have one glass in this country and I’m done for the day !!
I’m going to Italy Sept. 24 (I’m going alone – eek!). I don’t know where Il Volo will be but I’m so looking forward to seeing and enjoying Italy. Jeanine I’m anxious to read your future posts. Gerri

Jeanine Perry Como sung Anema e Coe under the name With All My Heat & Soul. Gianluca uses those English words to his song in different parts of the song along with Italian.
I have been listening to Gianluca & its hard to stop listening he perfected his crooning power & that Anema e Core is the smoothest singing I have ever heard. He has found his power. Congratulations Gianluca looking forward to moe crooning.

It will be interesting to see what Sony does with IL VOLO’s 2015 album. I’m really hoping that some of the juicy new(er) beauties from Taormina will be on the album!
And if anyone knows the part of the concert with the band the guys referred to as ragazzi (guys), starting at 59:50, band name and name of the 2 songs, I think those are my only remaining questions.

Jeanine I found some information for you. Look on All About Il Volo August 28 2014 the article says Il Volo & the Artists of their land. Scroll down to about the middle you will find the ragazzi group is called Sicciia in Folk 5 men singing with Ignazio & Piero on the stage at the concert. The song is E vui Durnuti ancora.
I think the man who is head of the group is Vitti ne crozza – Sicclia in Folk.
Check the spelling on the All About Il Volo site I wrote the titles on paper so I could tell you & my writing is not the best even I don’t understand it at times.
From what I could see on stage the man beside Ignazio was blowing into a vase something like I used to have.

Jeanine I didn’t see any other mention of the 2nd song they played & that Ignazio was dancing to but it may have been thee & I didn’t recognize it as a song. Perhaps Lijoy would know
