A few last words…just in case you don’t already know the English translation to Grande Amore, here it is! From lyricstranslate.com:
Great Love
(when you read these words, try to hear the guys singing their parts…)
The sweet scent of her skin – Il profumo dolce della pelle sua
It’s a voice inside me, taking me where the sun rises – E’ una voce dentro che mi sta portando dove nasce il sole
Words are lonesome – Sole sono le parole
But if written, everything can change – Ma se vanno scritte tutto può cambiare
With no more fear, I want to cry out to you this great love – Senza più timore te lo voglio urlare questo grande amore
Love, simply love is what I feel – Amore, solo amore è quello che sento
Tell me why, when I think, I only think of you – Dimmi perché quando penso, penso solo a te
Tell me why, when I see, I only see you – Dimmi perché quando vedo, vedo solo te
Tell me why, when I believe, I only believe in you, great love – Dimmi perché quando credo, credo solo in te grande amore
Tell me that never – Dimmi che mai
Never will you leave me – Che non mi lascerai mai
Tell me who you are – Dimmi chi sei
Breath of my days of love – Respiro dei giorni miei d’amore
Tell me you know – Dimmi che sai
It’s only me you’re going to choose, now you know – Che solo me sceglierai Ora lo sai
You’re my only, great love – Tu sei il mio unico grande amore
Remember they cut out this 2nd verse…
Springs will go by
Cold and stupid days to remember
Damned nights wasted without sleep, others to make love
Love, you’re my love
Forever, for me
Tell me why, when I think, I only think of you – Dimmi perché quando penso, penso solo a te
Tell me why, when I love, I only love you – Dimmi perché quando amo, amo solo te
Tell me why, when I live, I only live in you, great love – Dimmi perché quando vivo, vivo solo in te grande amore
Tell me that never – Dimmi che mai
Never will you leave me – Che non mi lascerai mai
Tell me who you are – Dimmi chi sei
Breath of my days of love. Tell me that you know – Respiro dei giorni miei d’amore
I could never get it wrong. Tell me that you’re – Che non mi sbaglierei mai Dimmi che sei
That you’re my only, great love – Che sei il mio unico grande amore
That you’re my only, great love – Che sei il mio unico grande amore

Baci e abbracci! (kisses and hugs!)
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Jana, you’re an angel!! 😇
Wonderful lesson. You certainly have put a lot of work into these lessons! Thank you!!
Jana , when I was a kid in Boston the Italian kids yelled at me ” You’re crazy”. It sounded like Te pazzo . They had another word after that that sounded like “wyo”. What could it be? Joanie g
I’ll have to ask the one guy at work…. 🙂
Gianluca’s birthday is February 11!!! Thank for listing numbers, etc! I may never be able to speak Italian, but I’m learning to read it!!
Got it Dot. Type-0. Thanks. It was correct in italian. I know that because i’ve been taking lezione’s. 🙂
Marie – thanks for correcting my typo!! Had Piero’s birthday on my mind and forgot to correct the English!! Lol! 🙂
Jana. love this lezione. Thanks, once again for relating it to things that spark our interest. I listened to Grande Amore and for the first time could actually follow along word for word. Like Dot, I don’t think I will be able to speak it or write it very well, but I can certainly read it better than ever thanks to you.
Grazie, lezione anche meravigliosa! How’s that Jana? I have printed all the lessons and filed them. I must admit that with every new lesson I have to refer back, sometimes to the very first lesson, before I am able to make sense of this Italian language!! The 5 W’s gets me every time!
I’m sure you are doing fine! I, too, forget a lot! Even though I am the one that is supposed to be teaching it! Lol! I have to go back also and remember what the words mean. I agree, it’s very frustrating sometimes! Bene, bene, Ineke!! Grazie!
Grazie a tutti!! So glad you are enjoying your lessons! There is still so much to learn! Hopefully, we are able to catch some more during Eurovision – or maybe we will get lucky and they will speak in English?? Or maybe we should brush up on our German? 🙂
