Technical Difficulties

Hello Everyone.

I want to apologize to anyone who sent a greeting for Gianluca’s birthday, and it didn’t make it into the post.  A couple of things happened…

First, there were so many comments, one post couldn’t hold them all, which I didn’t know would be a problem until the draft stopped saving/updating automatically, causing me to have to split the work I had already done into two posts.  Second, I had to work through a spotty — and in some cases, completely lost — Wi-Fi connection with my internet carrier in the middle of all of this (going back and forth between e-mail and the website), and I thought that I had recovered all the missing comments when it came back up.  Because of these difficulties, posting took nearly  6 1/2 hours….much longer than it normally would have…and I when I counted the number of comments at the end, I thought I had the correct number.  I sincerely apologize.

That being said, it seems that the problems with people getting e-mails to us continues to be a problem, and I’m not sure, but I might have figured out the problem.  I need a little more information to test my theory, so I’m asking for all of your help.  If you have had trouble getting your e-mail through to us in the past:

  • Send an e-mail to us at ilvoloflightcrw@outlook.com using the e-mail account that you use most often.  Please put the word, “Testing,” in the subject line.

  • Comment below and let me know that I should be looking for an e-mail from you.

I will reach out to you to see when your e-mail is actually received, and work with you to figure out the individual issues if I haven’t.  Thank you for helping me with this, and again, I apologize if your comment was left out of the birthday post.

~~ Kelly

P.S. ~ Some of the issues with posting included persistent formatting problems.  Each individual comment is a different color, not necessarily spaced evenly, so please look again if you don’t immediately see your name.  kyalpn

  1. Kelly, I sent a test too. I sent you both Ineke’s and Ann Scavo’s greetings. Neither one showed up in our mail. I later emailed them directly to you. I hope you can figure out the problem. Hope you got my test. I’m sorry I’m not more computer literate to help you here.

  2. Hi Kelly
I know and appreciate all the hard work this post has taken. Maybe it is my 70 something eyes but I find the comments in the lighter fonts to be very hard to read–the yellow ones and the light pink ones. I realize you did this to make the post more attractive and festive. But I am wondering if any other of the crew had trouble reading these posts as I did. Maybe stick to brighter colors?
This is not meant as a criticism–but a helpful tip!

  3. Kelly thanks for your hard work in getting these Birthday messages. I have not had any problems with mine this time or the previous ones.

  4. To everyone that has replied so far, you should have an e-mail back from us. I have an IT person with Outlook Support working with me on this. If I could have more test e-mails from anyone, that would be great! Thanks!

  5. I didn’t have a problem with Gianluca’s birthday greeting but did for Ignazio’s. Thank you Kelly for all the time and effort you put into posting our birthday greetings to Gianluca. Sorry you had so much trouble.
