Less than a month to go to the start of the IL Volo world tour.
We all need this “return to a semblance of normalcy”.
Yes, because lately we have lived two years of more or less total seclusion, the pandemic has devastated the world and yet, we have not completely emerged from it.
The Omicron variant also took me and my husband, fortunately it was like having a flu, cough and cold, nothing more, we are at home, spaced from everyone and in a few days we will repeat the test, hoping it will be negative!
Also, for two months, we have been living through the nightmare of war here near us, for this we must not stop praying for peace. Enough, stop the horrors, enough suffering.
We all want to smile, to meet, desire for concerts, for friendships.
So let’s go back to the Il Volo tour, it will start on May 15th, here are all the dates:
The first date is near, what a thrill, for many of us fans, it will be a pleasant return to listen to their splendid voices, but for many, it will be the first experience and it is indescribable, the emotion and amazement for those who hear their voices. live for the first time in concert.
The confirmed dates are 41 for now, but we know well that Piero said there are many more, but everything has been postponed or canceled several times, the pandemic has upset all plans, as well as having taken away many fans who adored Il Volo from the beginning.
Of course, at the beginning, they were little more than children and immediately catapulted into another world, immensely larger than them. But they broke into the hearts of Americans, who hugged them immediately, amazed by their voices and fascinated by their simple way of being, three little boys with important voices and hearts of gold.
The tour is starting, and after the summer they will arrive again there, where Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca have always left a piece of their heart grateful for everything you all have always given them.
Here, one of their first guest appearances on “The Early Show on Saturday’s”.
I know, we have seen and reviewed these old videos several times, but it is always exciting to see their beginnings and understand how far they have come !!
So I propose again these two Concert Lobby videos, recorded on the radio in Toronto on June 6, 2011, maybe some of you have not seen them!
Some of their successes will also be part of this year’s concert, they are milestones of their journey, but then there will be the music of Morricone, to whom the concert is dedicated, it will be a beautiful show.
Believe me, I was in the Arena in June 2021 and it was all a unique emotion. I will be in the Arena again this year in June and the enchantment will repeat itself. I can’t wait for the time to come.

I noticed on October 9th it says they will be in Alba, Fl but the city is Sunrise, Fl. Never heard of Alba. Have they moved their concert from the Live arena? If so, wasn’t notified of it. If someone can clarify this, I would appreciate it.

Joanne, actually, if you go to the Volomusic concert list, it says ALBA, FL, (as in the attached photo), but don’t worry it’s the same location and the same arena as FLA live Arena. Sunrise is the name of the village born as Golf Village and in 1971 it took the name of ALBA but everyone knows it as Sunrise. So it’s all right, they are the same.

In the end, I think it’s all a translation problem, usually the city names are not translated, but in this case yes, SUNRISE in Italian is ALBA, I think the misunderstanding is all there, but WIKIPEDIA (in the Italian version) reports both names. I ask Pat to correct the list, so that there is no misunderstanding.

Hello, Pat and Daniela! So glad you are both recovering. Yes, this old lady will be going to Toronto with my step-daughter, Susie, for the concert on September 7th. We will be going by train from Ottawa and will stay at the Royal York, across the street from the train station. Since our March, 2022 concert in Ottawa was cancelled I got a refund for the tickets, I’ve gone whole hog with Meet and Greet VIP tickets. Will be 90 yrs. old on May 1st, so this is my birthday present to me! May not get to see them again, but there is always hope! Hugs, Dolores

As I have already explained, I believe that the problem of SUNRISE or ALBA is all due to the translator, SUNRISE is ALBA in Italian.
We are returning to normal, but there is still a long way to go slowly, slowly.
Marion, M&G tickets were available back in April. They were supposed to be in Sunrise on April 10th but was rescheduled to Oct. 9th. M&G tickets were probably sold out back in April. So sorry you won’t be able to see them in person. Their hugs are great!!!!

Verona is really very close to Brescia and I am very lucky in this, but besides Taormina, I too would like to see the concert in the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, that place is so beautiful!
The Valley of the Temples was part of my Sicily/Italy tour in 2012. You are so right, it was spectacular. BTW, this will be my third Il Volo concert, and hopefully not my last! Dolores
I have only been to Taormina once, in April of 2011. I fell in love with it then (and all of Sicily) and would love to return. I had never heard of Il Volo then and didn’t know about them until 2015! My loss!
Why do they always schedule their Taormina concert in the heat of the summer? Sicily can be extremely hot in the summer.

My tickets were originally purchased last year for April of this year ,before reschedule, so Covid was still a problem so that is perhaps why no Meet and Greet available. We are lucky that Florida is one of the most accommodating states re Covid.

Despite the fact that I have been following them for 13 years, this will be my first live concert and needless to say, I am really excited. I am trying to find out if there will be a sound check and if so where and when I can purchase the tickets.

There are no tickets to buy for the soundcheck, you just have to be a member of the Official Fan Club and they will notify you with an email.

I have tickets for September 29, Bethlehem, Pa. This is my first concert…I’m so excited. I wanted to get meet and greet tickets, but was told when I called Wind Creek Event Center that there is no meet and greet. I see Camille has meet and greet tickets for that night. How do I find out for sure if this will occur? I’m confused.

Hi Ellie this is Camille – I think Wind Creek told you there was no Meet & Greet because I believe all of those seats have already been purchased. I bought my tickets back in October. The M & G tickets are usually the first few rows maybe 10. If you look at the Wind Creek site you can see the seating chart and you will see all those seats are purchased.

Just yesterday I inquired about the meet and greet tickets so naturally it was too late. Thanks again for explaining it to me. Daniela-I will be seeing Il Volo in Chicago on September 13. I can’t wait! But I have a question. On my ticket, it says “Meet & Greet”, which I paid for. But don’t you have to have a badge of some sort to enter the “meet & greet”? Please let me know, as I am very concerned I won’t be able to get in! I saw several people with badges hanging around their necks, which I assumed was for admittance to meet & greet. Please won’t someone advise me on this matter?😳
Janet, I have never gone to a Meet & Greet, but I know that the badge and also other gadgets, they give them to you before the concert, at least I have seen this done, I hope that someone familiar with Meet & Greet will give you this confirmation.

When you arrive for the concert (plan to go very early because if there is a sound check that is when it happens), you enter the lobby and there is a special desk where you pick up your bag of goodies if you have Meet and Greet tickets. Your badge will be in there and that is how they know who gets to attend the M&G after the show. At least that is how it happened for me in Atlanta.
Thanks for the lovely update. I thouroughly enjoyed the interview from Toronto, that I had never seen before. Oh boy were they cute :-).
And YES – I hold tickets for the first concert in Italy, namely JUNE 3, in VERONA.
I cannot wait – am counting the days. My husband and I shall be driving down to Italy and have two overnights i Verrona. So if anyone is planning a get-together or something, i/we should be very interested in joyning. Will there be made a sign-up list for such occations? Please let me know, so that I can join.
I do likewise pray that there will be a sound-rehearsal on the 3rd – does anyone know? I am a member of the official fan club (not my husband), but I don’t really know how it works? We shall be arriving in Verona in the afternoon of June the 2nd and leave midday on June the 4th.
