While the third concert of Il Volo was broadcast on Canale 5, where were Piero Gianluca and Ignazio?
In Sardinia, Costa Smeralda for an event related to the world of football: GLOBE SOCCER where Il Volo was expected as a guest and also for the presentation of an award.
So no rest for our boys before the departure of the Italian/European tour.
Piero reached beautiful Sardinia with his sister Mariagrazia, Gianluca with his brother Ernesto and Ignazio with Michelle, a good opportunity to spend a few days at the seaside in sunny Costa Smeralda. 😉
But let’s get to the evening of the event, Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero, beautiful and elegant, present themselves for the ritual photo. ❤️❤️❤️

We all know that football is very much loved by Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, so they will surely have been honored to participate in this event and also to have had the opportunity to reward someone they admire. 😉
And surely a couple took advantage of these few days at the seaside, in the splendid Cala Volpe, to have a few moments of happiness, in fact their smiles demonstrate more and more love, who am I talking about? But certainly about the two of them: Ignazio and Michelle. ❤️❤️

But it’s not finished yet, because on June 4th a press conference has been announced for the concert that Il Volo will hold in Venice, so I have some time to rest and we’re off again!!

Daniela & Pat – you have created another winner!! – this is such an uplifting & happy editorial & yes I am like all the other fans who write to you – we love you for keeping us in the loop!! – my daughter-in-law who is the Official Secretary to the Governor General of New Zealand has been to Italy with my Son & loved it – especially Lake Como – they said the Italian people are so warm!! & the country is stunning – as for having a cappuccino after Pizza with no pineapple – I never asked them if they had done that!! – I really laughed – I love to see Piero – Ignazio & Gianluca happy – our boys were in Austria – the land of my forefathers – such a beautiful land – I hope our boys managed to fit in some sightseeing – I adored the pics of Ignazio & Michelle – what a privilege to see these pics – they are a very awesome looking couple – Ignazio has a beautiful heart & much humanity – you girls are so great at all you do for us – love you much – have a great weekend.

So would I Pat – Italy is so enchanting from what Jas & Ali told me – they had to go to London to attend the funeral of Queen Elizabeth so they made a quick trip to Italy while they were on that side of the world after all the official business was over – lucky them – I am sure the opportunity will arise for you Pat – heaven knows with all the work you do for us – you deserve it.
Wow, Jude, what beautiful words for our Italy, Lake Como is certainly a little treasure chest and I understand that you liked it, but thank your daughter-in-law and your son for the kind words addressed to us Italians, I am flattered and happy that their stay left a good memory. (I hope they didn’t eat pineapple pizza ha ha).

wie erfreut ich war, dass ich heute Morgen eine neue Nachricht von dir gesehen habe.
Ich habe die Sendung der Starnacht im Deutschen Fernsehen gesehen. Barbara Schöneberger hat ihre Fragen auf Englisch gestellt, hat diese Fragen aber auf Deutsch für das Publikum wiederholt. Auch die Antworten der Jungs hat sie ausführlich auf Deutsch übersetzt.
Aber was mich erstaunte, Ignazio hat ja eine wunderbare deutsche Aussprache. Ich bemerkte das schon in einem anderen Fernsehausschnitt, als er Piero in sein Ohr sagte “ich liebe Ihre Augen”. Den Satz habe ich von Gianluca schon mal gehört. Und als Ignazio auf Deutsch erklärte, dass man in Italien niemals Pizza Hawaii bestellen soll, war ich von seiner exakten Aussprache begeistert. Was haben diese Männer nur für Talente. Ich liebe übrigens Pizza Hawaii. Ich mag diese heiße Ananas auf Schinken und Käse. Lachen musste ich dann über Pieros Erklärung, zu welchen Zeiten man Cappuccino trinkt und wann nicht. Das hatte schon unsere Dozentin Lucia erzählt, als ich vor Jahren Italienisch Unterricht nahm. Wenn ich das meinen Bekannten im Café erklärte, dass man den nur morgens trinkt, haben sie kein Verständnis gezeigt. Deutsche lieben Cappuccino und sie trinken ihn tatsächlich zu jeder Tages- und Nachtzeit.
In den hiesigen Nachrichten stand, dass die Sendung sich über zwei Tage hinzog. Am ersten Tag (Aufzeichnung) gab es ein starkes Unwetter, so dass die Zuschauer evakuiert werden mussten (Il Volo hat noch das erste Lied singen können), am zweiten Tag (Livesendung) war es nicht ganz so schlimm. Trotzdem hat mir das Interview gefallen. Barbara legte Piero eine Wärmflasche auf die Brust, damit er seine Stimme schonen konnte und eine Decke über die Beine. Piero und Ignazio streiften die Decke sofort ab und Gianluca hatte dann die gesamte Decke auf seinen Beinen.
Daniela, vielleicht passt meine Frage hier nicht her, aber ich versuche es mal. Ich lerne jetzt seit 3 Monaten wieder Italienisch, jeden Tag zwei Stunden, und ich verstehe und spreche immer mehr. Kennst du irgendeine Person in Italien, die zu einer Art Brieffreundschaft Lust hätte. Hier finde ich auf diese Frage immer nur Schulen, bei den man Italienisch lernen kann, aber wenn man die Sprache nicht anwenden kann, ist es sehr schade. Ich habe eine Freundin, die eine Freundin in Sizilien hat. Mit der korrespondiere ich, aber leider mag sie Il Volo nicht. Die Musik ja, aber nicht die Männer. Ich möchte mich am liebsten ständig über die drei unterhalten, aber sie mag sie nicht. Vielleicht kennst du ja jemanden, der Lust auf einen Mailverkehr hat.

Ich muss Ursula sagen, dass mir die Veranstaltung in Österreich gefallen hat und ich wusste, dass es einen starken Sturm gegeben hatte, aber ich hätte nicht einmal gedacht, dass sie sie unterbrochen und am nächsten Tag wieder aufgenommen hatten. Barbara war entzückend und nachdenklich und ich freue mich, von Ignazios wunderschöner Aussprache zu hören, ausgezeichnet, aber was kann dieser Typ nicht gut? Wow, aber ich finde, dass viele Ausländer diese Pizza mit Ananas mögen, aber ich glaube nicht, dass wir Italiener sie mögen!! Und für uns gibt es Cappuccino nur zum Frühstück! Es war richtig, dass Sie hier Ihre Bitte um Korrespondenz auf Italienisch gestellt haben. Wenn ich jemanden höre, der daran interessiert ist, werde ich Sie umgehend informieren.
Intanto ti posso dire che Piero, Ignazio e Gianluca sono tre ragazzi di carattere splendido, artisti formidabili e sono anche tre bei ragazzi. 🥰
I have to say Ursula that I liked the event that was held in Austria and I knew that there had been a strong storm, but I didn’t even think that they had suspended it and resumed it the next day. Barbara was delightful and thoughtful and I’m happy to hear about Ignazio’s beautiful pronunciation, excellent, but what doesn’t this guy do well? Wow, but I find that many foreigners like this pizza with pineapple, but I don’t think we Italians like it!! And for us cappuccino is only for breakfast! You were right to make your request for correspondence in Italian here, if I hear anyone interested in this I will let you know immediately.

Oh busy bees Daniela and Pat – thanks again for keeping us so fine updated with the latest IL VOLO doings. When I saw the first pics on FB showing the guys in Sardinia I was all puzzled… Piero and Guinluca going on holiday together? Nah… And Piero bringing his sister along – then it was probably neither some pre-bachelor party for Ignazio. It didn’t make any sense to me till I learned that they were to take part in some international Soccer Awards event ;-). Apparently they have been invited in good time in advance – or arranged for that themselves – giving them some well deserved time to relax and have fun in the sun at this paradise-like environment. I have read that this beach-resort is one of the finest and most expensive in Italy, so I am glad they got this opportunity. PS: I studied the latest sport info on Danish TV curious to learn what this event was all about – but to my surprise no words in that respect seemed to occur anywhere. Well, I am not a sport fan in any way, so I may have missed some vital sources in this respect, but as soccer is a very big sport in my country too, I was a bit surprised… PS PS: Does anyone know who the extra people in the yacht photo are? Apart from our 3 guys, Torpedine, Barbara, sister Mariagracia and brother Ernesto? No bell rings with me!
Oh how I loved the brief interview in the Austrian show. The hostess has a great sense of humor – and OMG, the answers of our guys hit me as a boomerang he he he. I love capuchino and I enjoy it thoroughly after my dinner… – oh no Daniela, please don’t reveal that you have experienced me exactly in that embarassing situation LOL – my husband’s fave pizza is the Hawaiian with pineapples and yes most families in Denmark have their dinner around 18:00 hrs. fitting with our winters where it gets dark at 16:00 hrs and parents want to have their kids in bed latest by 20:00 hrs, so.,.. Guess I shall have to hide these facts thoroughly from our guys – and I need to act more “when in Italy do as the Italians” next time I visit :-).

Kirsten, I too, seeing the photos of Gianluca and Piero in Sardinia, had even thought of Ignazio’s wedding, but no, I was wrong, it was an event linked to football. I can tell you that in the overall photo the two people at the top, on the left, the man with the white shirt and the woman with very long hair are husband and wife and are the organizers of the event, their name escapes me now, but Gianluca thanks them before the performance. This is the first event held in Europe, then there will be the most important evening in Dubai, this is what I understand, but I too am not very informed about this type of event. As for the area, it is well known that Cala Volpe is one of the most exclusive places in Sardinia, we are on the Costa Smeralda, everyone says it is fantastic. 😉🤩 .
You make me laugh when you talk about your dinner habits and your beloved cappuccino. Definitely if you meet the guys for a pizza don’t get pizza with pineapple, or even the hood!!😂
Ha ha I’ll take your advice and behave very Italian should I have the opportunity to enjoy pizza and coffee with the guys. Absolutely no fruit on the pizza and only a tiny black espresso to follow… but can I have some Sambucca in the latter pretty please😜👍
OK now two of the four unknown persons on the boat are verified – now we do just miss the gent in the middle in the back and the lady with the long black hair middle front? Yes I am curious😜 I have never considered Sardinia as a possible holiday alternative… wonder why – as having read a bit up on that island it looks very beautiful and the lovely fine sandy beaches appeal to me. Well, a reason might very well be the prices, so guess I need to win the lottery before getting bright ideas. Glad the guys got the opportunity to take part in this new sport event – they must feel happy and somewhat honored being the ones chosen for this job. Yet again, who else could have done a better job? No one! The guys have such a broad repertoire within so many different genres that they can meet any challenges in this respect and on top they are bright, cultured and well mannered – perfect! It’s always so much fun to see an article about our boys by you…especially when you don’t expect it!! They are pure pleasure to look at but to listen to those voices….ahhh, the angels sing!

Ok I guess it is time for me to chime in from the west coast of Canada! If I was cooking a ham for dinner at 6:00pm I would have a bowl of pineapple on the table! Also some pure maple syrup from Quebec! Always some sort of coffee after dinner , however if any of the il volo boys should drop by, we can eat much later, no cappuccino with the meal, and and have a plate of spaghetti before the main course! Honestly, let’s accept we are all individuals and celebrate our differences and be happy! We are fortunate to have food and shelter with good health! And of course great hearing for listening to Il Volo sing 150+ of my favourite songs!
I can’t imagine how the guys can handle so much travel, personal life and be so caring and compassionate to their friends and family!
As far as the intimate wedding, I am still betting on the time after Rome! Whenever the event happens I am certain they will share some pictures, Ignacio will be so ecstatic 🤩 he will never keep quiet!

Dixie, the Gianluca-Eleonora couple has no longer been a couple since November last year, Gianluca had maintained confidentiality, but it was Eleonora herself during the famous “argument” (between Gian and Piero) in Sanremo who published that she and Gianluca had no longer been a couple since November 2023.
It’s true these guys still seem young to get married, but they are almost 30 so the age is more than right. 😉
What a beautiful expose of the future Mrs. Boschetto and Ignazio holds up his end well too. “In-love-ness” is a wonderful way of being and they certainly look, as we say, head over heels with their love.
I love this beautiful couple Mark, and I think that’s everyone’s feeling. It is clear that Ignazio is happy and in love and she, beautiful, seems so natural, elegant, but I would say soap and water, they are a couple that makes sparks and we hope that they are also always happy. 😍😍
I wonder if Ignazio & Michelle speak mostly in Spanish to each other (she was raised in Venezuela) or in Italian? Perhaps they switch off between the two. Does anyone know?
