Hi Everyone,
Kind of a quiet Il Volo day.
1.) It seems “The Boys” enjoyed appearing with “The Pooh” last night in Salerno. There is a video on Mundial Facebook, but it’s from very far away so it’s difficult to see who is on the stage.
2.) Ignazio tweeted a picture of him driving home at 5:30 am!
3.) Piero and Ignazio both tweeted tributes to Eydie Gorme.
4.) Gianlucca, on his Twitter page from yesterday shared the video of Andre Bocelli’s message to him when he won the talent contest. There are also glimpses of Piero and Ignazio. It’s very sweet and fun to see them so young again.
5.) Gianluca also Tweeted today, pictures of him with a fan. He said “I’m speechless by your continued support. Without you we don’t exist. THANK YOU” Easy to see why we love these young men so much!
Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio enjoy the rest of your vacations, we are looking forward to your return to The USA!
A reminder, Il Volo will appear tomorrow, 8/14 on “The Talk” 2PM Eastern, on CBS.
Thank you all for your kind comments.
Linda
Thank you for the updates on our Italian dolls
Thanks for the info Linda. Now, Where was Ignazio until 5:30 am? I don’t think he was with me! Damn it!
Hi Teresa, welcome! I haven’t met you yet.
Helen, Oh my Dear, I don’t even know what to say. Thank you so much!
Marie, this is a guess, I think he was driving home after the concert. Not to worry.
Thank-you Frances for your story, very moving.
At 5:30 in the morning? How long are concerts in Salerno? Unlikely. Did he have a 5 hour drive home after singing half the night? Unlikely. However, I choose to believe you. Because I want to.
Trust me!
In my opinion, of what I heard on the YouTube with The Pooh, IL VOLO were by far the most refined and harmonious sounds. You sounded wonderful, Gianluca, Piero, and Ignazio!
And I will say that I can now enjoy Cosi, sung by our guys. A little different flavor from my favorites, like
We Are Love
Un Amore Cosi’ Grande
Non Farmi Aspettare
and much more!
Glad I warmed up to it.
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Oh, here’s something fun, if you watch our guys singing in the Nobel Peace Prize Concert, the 9:34 length clip on YouTube
I just discovered…
at 8:48 and 9:16 the 2 upper lights form a heart.
Ya gotta love it! (; >)
From my heart to yours…
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Frances….What a heart-wrenching story….I can’t even imagine your anguish. But isn’t it miraculous that Piero and Il Volo came to your rescue and helped to make you whole again?
Music has been a major part of my life all my life, and The Boys and their music uplift my very soul. It’s so unusual and gratifying to find 3 sweet and caring individuals combined with limitless vocal talent. How often in a lifetime does this occur?
Stick with us, Frances. You’re going to like it here!
Wow! I didn’t know it was going to embed the video. I just copied the link. Hope it doesn’t mess anything up. On the other hand, it may just light up your night! ^_^
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Jeanine…. I’m so glad you did embed the video. Il Mondo is my very favorite and this is also my very favorite performance of it. The Boys have never looked better and have never been in better voice! And didn’t the audience LOVE THEM!
Oh, yes, Helen! Well said!!
~ Jeanine DuBois
Wow what a wonderful site this is turning out to be. Such an emotional story from Frances and then a wonderful video from Jeanine – thank you both. By the way, Jeanine, the video came out fine.
Elaine – I know what you mean. I don’t know if anyone saw the Fiat commercial where Paul Revere is shouting through the streets “The Italians are coming! The Italians are coming!” Of course, Fiat is not the first thing that came to my mind.
Have a good night everyone!
Fantastic!
Thanks, LeeLee!
Hey, everyone, I am writing an email right now about my VISION of the boys singing with CELINE DION. I’ve held this incredible, and rather unique, vision since June 25, 2012 (day after Piero’s birthday!). Then last night and today a few more spectacular pieces fell into place.
The challenge is getting to talk to the right folks for IL VOLO to consider pursuing this. And, yes, I understand that they might want to tweak the vision some and that it might be over a year in development. On July 15th 2013 I had 7 signs in one day to approach them again. Now I’m getting new sparks in the last 24 hours.
August 25th I’ll be in Vancouver BC for the Concert (I live in Oregon, for those who were asking).
I sure would appreciate prayers and well wishes sent my way and to that of the boys and their team for the highest good and grandest experience in reference to the possibilities of this vision.
Thanks, guys!
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Hi everyone. LeeLee, I have seen that commercial, & I was definitely not thinking about cars. I was thinking “If the Italians are coming, send them to MY house”.
(; >)
~ Jeanine D.
We are definitely on the same page!! Love it!
Frances, thank you for reaching out to us with your moving story. I hope you will converse with us here more often. I really love having all these pen pals!
Jeanine, The guys rendition of Il Mondo at the Nobel Peace concert is one of my favorite videos to watch. The world keeps on turning, & night surely follows the day, in spite of terrorists & idiots who keep trying to disrupt it. I also think WE ARE LOVE was an excellent choice to sing at this concert. I like to think of it as the 21st century version of “All you need is LOVE”. If only we could spread that global message of peace & spread love in every language, the terrorists might quit & slink away. Oh well, at least it is something to pray for.
P.S. Linda, your little reporter is all packed up & ready to go. Where is she headed?
Absolutely, Lynn.
Agreed! And pray, envision, trust, believe…

Ladies, I posted a few days ago,but on the wrong page, of course! It’s on the “amazing developments” page. Also, the signature was samsmom; it is now kittykam. Maybe one of these days I’ll learn. Anyway, I mentioned that I had posted something there, but now would like to bring it here; so here goes.

Thank you: HG TR RF MT BV, and all others.
To their families: THANK YOU THE MOST, for your willingness to share your sons with all of us.
Boy, I am beat. It is difficult to be in a different time zone as Kelly, Elizabeth, Michele, Linda, and Marie. My dinner time happen to be their meeting time. Guess what, I have over 50 emails in one hour! I just finish reading and replying, so tired. I am not complaining though. As soon as I read all the wonderful posts, it is all worth it.
Please keep posting, blogging, sharing, your love, feeling, story, everything, anything here. Your love and support are the reasons for our board to continue updating and refining this site.
I am looking forward to The Talk tomorrow. And of course I am skipping work – I need to help my college bound daughter pack. Hahaha.
One more thing, LeeLee, I enjoy driving a lot more now. I am glad I trade in my old Beamer with a newer one last November. Perfect timing. Now if only I can trade something (someone) in for …
Good Morning,
Kittykam, that was lovely! He followed a good recipe! What a gift!
Elaine I’m with you. In fact so tired I didn’t even post last night. I’m missing out on some fun! However, reading these posts revived me. I am ready for work today. Will be listening to MY BOYS for 40 miles. Yippee!
See you all tonight.
Thanks KittyKam, I loved it! They do give us a great gift. Looking forward to The Talk this afternoon. Sorry Marie, you have to work, no fair! I’ll tell you about it later (sweet of me eh?) At least you can hear them for 40 miles!!
Good morning all decided to stay home today.
Kittykam THANK YOU to read & start the day with God’s recipe for success, it was beautiful to read so early in the morning & also listen to Il Mondo & We Are Love my two favourite songs I have always said these are three angels who were sent to us for a reason not only to fill us with love but to heal the world. And they will one song at a time. I can feel the love coming from the stage with there singing & sense of humour & the love they have for each other. I feel so privileged to be part of their world right now & to be able to contribute to this blog. Thank you all ladies for the wonderful job & your stimulating ideas to improve & make this blog 1000 times better that OUR previous Il Volo site.
God bless all of you & keep your energetic ideas flowing.
God bless you also & keep you safe Ignazio, Piero & Gianluca, you fill our hearts with love & joy. I hope someday you get to read the positive thoughts & love sent your way. I am so looking forward to the coming concert & perhaps a meeting
Thanks, Loretta. I couldn’t have said it better.
Also what a wonderful idea to have some of their videos singing our favourite songs on this blog, great idea girls. Hope your individual sleep at night produces more beautiful ideas.
Getting ready to watch The Talk at 2. Kind of noisy here, pressure washing the outside of the building, then painting! If I have to turn the TV set to “very loud” I will.
Please somebody post the Talk show. I have to go to the dentist at that time. What a bummer!
Mary, I did not get to see The Talk either. If you go to the following link later you should be able to watch it. As of right now they have yesterday’s show on to be seen. So check it out later. Hope it works for you. The link should take you right to the video.
http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_talk/video/
Or you can go to http://www.cbs.com, then click on the video tab and you will see the show.
Oops! Scratch the link to http://www.cbs.com.
It should have been http://www.cbs.com/shows/the_talk/ then click on the video tab and look for 8/14/2013 show.
Thanks, Jeanie, While I did get a look at it while at the dentist, it was much better without a drill in my mouth.
I just went to the mail and my DVD is here! Happy Birthday to me. Can’t wait to watch it (after The Talk, of course). I’m setting up in front of the TV and the phone is off (just in case). Can’t wait to see what everyone’s thoughts are after the show.
Loretta – beautiful blessing to Ignazio, Piero, and Gianluca. I feel the same and everyone is always in my prayers.
I am so envious of everyone who is getting to see them. They are going to be right here in my backyard (practically) and I could not get anyone to go see them with me. I will have to experience the excitement through all of you. DETAILS PLEASE!!!!!
LeeLee,
Go by yourself to see the boys, if you can. I gave my husband his choice of Detroit, Mi or Pittsburg, Pa., or his third choice was that I could go alone and I would have. One way or another I was going to see their concert.
Hi Jeanie, – I would, but it’s more fun to share with a friend. I know they’re worth it, but also, too, Miami is tricky especially traveling alone. I’ll wait as I’m sure there will be more opportunities.
LeeLee,
We are going to Detroit, Michigan. We have decided that we will just take a cab to the Fox Theater and back to the Hotel. Too much crime in that town. We are even considering renting a car instead of driving our own. That is still on the table.
My husband likes them also, but he is still working so he has to take two days off for this. He knew that I would go alone to see them and I would have. I am just that crazy about them. lol
Well everyone did you see them? They were fabulous. More details later! They couldn’t have been more charming!!! They actually got some good air time too.
Great!!! I am going to have to catch it later on video on The Talk. Can’t wait.
Fantastic as always…(sigh) I, too, was glad to see that they had some air time. Each one is so adorable.
Hello everyone…I hope you are all having a great day! IL VOLO…that goes for you as well! 🙂 Music is a language all of it’s own. IL VOLO has this language mastered to perfection. We are experiencing music at it’s very best with these wonderful young men. They truly are a gift to all. I know the wishes here for their future success are so genuine. You can feel the love here in this wonderful site for these young men…and they deserve every ounce of it as they pour their love out to all in their music and beyond. Thank you to all who have worked so hard and created this great site!
Is anyone else aggravated about getting tickets, not only to il Volo Concerts but to see anything? I was all set up and ready to go on the Ticketmaster’s website, plus waiting on someone to help me on the phone at the same time at 10:00a.m. on the first day that the tickets were offered to the General Public. I was shocked to see that the best seats were already taken or blocked out. So I got the closest two that turned out to be in the far side section. Now checking Ticketmaster’s website they are showing seats that are much closer than what I was able to get. They said that you cannot not trade your seats in for the better ones, so I was told. So people that wait until later get better seats. It makes me angry. It is unfair the way the ticket process is handled.
Just finished watching The Talk and I will be brave and post what looks like the first comment after the show.
The Boys were FABULOUS, as usual! There was some banter before they sang and Ignazio did a little dance with one of the hosts (hostesses?), which was so cute.
Now, here’s where it gets sticky!! This is only MY opinion and is not meant in an unkind way… But I was disappointed in the song they chose to sing .”Can’t You Feel the Love Tonight” is my least favorite. I would have preferred an Italian song, but I know that The Boys feel that they have to appeal to an American audience; hence a song in English… But Oh! How I wish they had done “Little Things” or “Maria”!!
Of course, I adore The Boys no matter what they sing….They always give such flawless performances. I DID see Ignazio goof up on El Reloj at the last Mexican concert., and he knew it! Have you watched it? It is hilarious!!! He does a Michael Jackson spin at the end and flashes that famous grin. These guys are just tops…the best EVER!!!
Oh, I can’t wait for the video to be put up so I can see it.
Helen, I love their Italian Songs also. But, I love all of the songs they sing also. I could not get “Surrender” out of my head yesterday.
Helen, you are not being unkind at all. Me, I’m just happy to see them perform. They can sing “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” and I’d be happy.
Jeanie…
“Surrender” is DEFINITELY one of my favorites! I,too, find myself singing it a lot, either out loud or in my head.
I appreciate your open sharing and your opinion, Helen!
Previously I was bored of this song because I heard it on my Elton John Love Songs CD too many times. But when I see and hear the boys sing it, I can see how the words mean so much to THEM personally, and it really brings it alive for ME!
“…When the heat of the rolling world can be turned away. An enchanted moment, and it sees me through.” (Oh, if you listen to the preceding words, it’s just so close to home!)
“It’s enough for this wide-eyed wanderer that we got this far.” (Who might that be?!)
“It’s enough to make kings and vagabonds believe the very best.” (Ahhh, hope!)
“When the heart of this star-crossed voyager beats in time with yours” (!)
“There’s a time for everyone if they only learn that the twisting kaleidoscope moves us all in turn.” (Sweet! Did you see Ignazio’s heartfelt gaze?)
“And, can you feel the Love tonight? It is where we are.” (When our IL VOLO friends sing this, you bet!!)
Honestly, I think Gian’s accent is cute: “da rolling world”
My heavens, the rich timbre of Piero’s voice so shines in this song! (The only spectacular feature missing is Piero’s ability to hold a note so long that I’m amazed he doesn’t pass out! : )
Ignazio, your heart is so open, your fun is bubbling over! Love it!
Just had to share my transformation around this song. (Thanks to Elton John for great words!)
And, wow, did the audience and hosts love our guys, huh?!
Love and respect to all,
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
While I am thinking about it, Mary B., Marie and Loretta, PLEASE be very careful in Detroit. I don’t mean to scare you, but just want you to be aware of your surroundings. Stay safe!
Il Volo at the dentist!! I was so unhappy that I had a dentist appointment at the same time the talk was on. Luckily, there is a TV on the ceiling, so I asked her to put on channel 4, and after tons of commercials and Selena Gomez , there they were! Imagine watching and listening to Il Volo while getting your teeth worked on. I was able to do a little PR work, too. In between probing and rinsing I told her about their history and what they are doing today. She seemed interested and liked their performance (duh). What a treat to have the pain of being in the dentist chair softened by the presence of our darlings!
Who needs Novocaine when you have Il Volo? Glad you got to see it!
This is so funny! Mary, I had a similar experience at the dentist last week -my dentist had Pandora and asked what I wanted to hear – I spelled Il Volo and – instantly Il Mondo, then I Bring You to my senses and Constantemente Mia came on — I got 3 new fans!
Mary C.:
How beautifully you expressed the love we all have for Il Volo , and the love and joy they are spreading throughout the world! Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts and feelings with us!
The TALK show is a very classy show
At least the boys had the respect given to them to have a conversation before they sang & sang a whole song, not my favourite either Helen but that was their choice to sing an English song. As far as I am concerned they can do NO wrong. Handsome as always especially my precious Ignazio. I hope they felt the love sent through the TV from us to them. I know it was a recording but maybe our love can reach them in Italy or wherever they are.
Please tell me what show Lynn saw New Orleans We Are Love is that a DVD. Are there 3 DVD’s. I have Takes Flight & am waiting for Filmore Theatre but is there another one I don’t have? If someone can update me I would appreciate it.
Loretta, my PBS station in New Orleans is airing the same WE ARE LOVE that almost everybody else got to see in June. They waited until now to do their pledge drive. I just finished watching it. It was wonderful!!! The videos I had seen on you tube did not do it justice. Also the DVD I ordered came in the mail today. So I am going to be on IL VOLO overload!!
I think they sang “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” because it really showcases their voices. Their voices really soar in that song.
LeeLee:
I had to chuckle at your comment…I would prefer “Row.Row. Row Your Boat” to :Can’t You Feel the Love Tonight”!!!!
I’m with you Helen! Actually, I think it would be interesting to see what they would do with Row, Row, Row Your Boat! They sure can row MY boat (not that I have a boat) anytime they want!
Yes Mary that’s is what I was doing at The Future Shop when I was buying my camera. It seems I am always promoting them at a store when I find out some one doesn’t know about Il volo. I am going to contact the management to get a job promoting them from store to store.
Me too Loretta! I was at the Channel counter looking for a long lasting lipstick! LOL – I said I am going to a concert and 2 people said which one? I said Il Volo in Philly. They are 3 amazing Italian guys – one said, my husband and I are Italian – I said I am too! She said, my husband loves all the classic songs he grew up hearing. So I said – Go to B&N or online – and buy the DVDs of “Il Volo Takes Flight” and “We Are Love” – she needs to get up to speed fast and those two will do it! She was so happy, said her husband will love it – going to be a birthday gift! I could tell she was on her way to the store.
Wow, awesome. All three of our guys are so handsome. That is how it should be. A proper introduction and interview. They handle it so well and they are so funny. I think they sound great and agree with Linda that they soar in that song. I can feel the love! Thanks guys. Can’t wait to see them, only 13 days left. Yeah.
If anyone missed it, todays’ performance on “The Talk” is already on Mundial Facebook!
Fantastic, I can watch it again tonight. There are nice photo and Keek posting from Gianluca also. Check it out. He is his handsome self as usual and always!
Elaine – I love this keek! “Lets swing baby..!” Gianluca smiles – I love it – he is so cute!
Yeah, I know (sigh!).
The guys were terrific as always on The Talk, and, yes, it was nice to see them treated with respect. They got a chance to chat and show their adorasble personalities. They will be here in America soon!!!!!
Hi, Thanks for your response to ” recipe for sucess ” which was a journal entry. I know that we all feel the same way. They are truly a
“gift” from God. Will watch the Mundial video of The Talk tonight.
Again, thanks for allowing me to share. Till next time, ——-
So glad to enjoy your sharing, Kittykam!
And by the way, I have a friend who has a kitty named Sam. Your earlier post gave me a double-take for a moment. It was just what I needed to pop a “thinking of you” to my friend. So, thanks for indirectly delivering the message that it’s time to take a break from my busy schedule and connect with my Sam’s momma friend.
Wow! Can you feel the love tonight? Flight Crew, you are awesome!
