Hi Everyone,
The concert in Chile on the 29th was as fabulous as usual. The Guys seemed to have thrived on the adoration of their fans.
The concerts for the next three nights are in Buones Aires, Argentina at the Gran Rex. It’s unusual to have three back to back concerts at the same venue; there must have been a huge demand!!!
The Teatro Gran Rex is an Art Deco style theatre in Buenos Aires, Argentina which opened on July 8, 1937, as the largest cinema in South America.
Located near the centre of the city at 857 Corrientes Avenue, it was designed by the architect Alberto Prebisch, who was also in charge of the construction of the Obelisk, one of the main icons of the city.
The design of the interior was influenced by that of Radio City Music Hall in New York and construction of the theatre was completed in just seven months in association with the engineer Adolfo Moret. The opening caused a sensation and the Argentine intellectual Victoria Ocampo praised the theatre as an outstanding example of modern architecture from the pages of her influential literary journal, Sur.
Today, the theatre has 3,300 seats and, together with the Teatro Opera on the opposite side of the street, is one of the city’s most important venues for the staging of international shows.
Chiquititas was the highest-grossing event in the history of the theater. Based on the children-oriented soap of the same name and with the complete cast of the show, six seasons of live musicals were performed at the Gran Rex from 1996 to 2001 during the Winter Holidays. Over 1 million tickets were sold, with the 1998 season being the highest-selling season ever (and the highest attendance ever at the Gran Rex to this day): 240,000 tickets sold.
Twitters, Tweets and Keeks:
Gianluca tweeted yesterday, We had so much much(?) doing some interviews in Buenos Aires, They will be released soon” he later tweeted “Hungry” then ” I ate a lot tonite, too much Argentinian beef #sogood”
Piero tweeted, “I love this city #buenosAires Buonanotte #Argentina and #the world” He tweeted today “3 shows at #Gran Rex Theatre in 3 days, lets start tonight!”
Ignazio tweeted “Cristian Castro “Asi Era Ella” ( referring to the popular Mexican singers’ new song release)
Check out Team Il Volo for some new articles “Il Volo In Chile” and “Il Volo live in Chile” with a video. See also “Il Volo offers three shows in Argentina” Piero states in this article “We do not have a favorite city, but we surely will go live in Los Angeles” Please remember these articles are translated from Spanish!
See All things Il Volo for some great photos and videos.
Il Volo has 10 more concerts left, including tonight, in their South American Tour. There has been much speculation of where they are going and what they are doing at the end of the tour. Except for 11/29 at the Mall of America and 12/1 in Detroit there has been no announcement from managemnent of their plans. If all the speculation was true they would have to be in 10 places at once. Lets see what developes.
You still have the rest of the day today to vote on the “Peoples Choice Awards”
Love and Luck In Argentina Guys!!!
Linda

Linda, I love that second to the last line. Beyond that I cannot say. Last night those “speculations” were flying around email like a bunch of bats at a haunted house.
Ha Myron, that made me laugh, it’s so true!
Ladies, The news on TV just announced an earthquake in Chile. No details. Thank goodness the guys were not still there, Hope it was mild, and no one was hurt. Time for thank you, and prayers.
7:30 PM Eastern 10/31/2013 SANTIAGO, Chile (AP) — A strong earthquake has rocked central Chile, causing buildings to sway in the capital of Santiago. There were no immediate reports of major damage or deaths. The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting that the quake had a magnitude of 6.6, and its epicenter was located about 65 kilometers (40 miles) southwest of the city of Coquimbo. It’s depth was 10 kilometers (6 miles). Chile is one of the world’s most earthquake-prone countries. A magnitude-8.8 quake and the tsunami it unleashed in 2010 killed more than 500 people and destroyed 220,000 homes.
This is not an earthquake but has anyone heard (watched) a recent interview where Ignazio’s voice seems worse than ever – barely able to get words out. I thought he was doing better around the DR and Puerto Rico. Either I was wrong or he got the stuff again only worse. I wish I knew the date on that interview.
So grateful Our Boys weren’t there, but plenty of other people.
Prayers all around,
~ Jeanine D.
Reposting, so you’ll see this:
I just read on Team IL VOLO “Il Volo: “We are humble and simple” that Ignazio has been sick with the flu, still taking antibiotics, and spent the night with a fever.
Prayer team, let’s remember Ignazio’s health and that of all our guys and their families and entourage.
Also, it was an interesting article with a bit beyond the usual.
Thanks to God and our angels for surrounding our guys and each of us with Love and Light and the peace that passes understanding,
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
PLEASE EVERYONE WHO CARE ABOUT OUR BOYS PLEASE START A CONSTANT PRAYER FOR IGNAZIO WHO IS SICK WITH THE FLUE, I SUPPOSE HE WILL HAVE TO PERFORM TONIGHT & CONTINUE ON WITH THE TOUR SO PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR ALL 3 BOYS AS THIS TOUR IS TAKING ITS TOLL & IGNAZIO IS NOW SICK. IF WE ALL PRAY TOGETHER GOD WILL HELP THEM GET THROUGH THIS TOUR & GOD IS THE ONLY ONE WHO CAN GIVE IGNAZIO THE HELP HE NEEDS.
Thank you, Loretta, and so good to see a post from you!
Last night I watched a couple of the videos from their concert in Chile on the 29th, and here’s what I noticed:
Nuestro amor es mas que grande – Il volo – chile
Ignazio wiped the sweat off his brow (I’ve never seen him do that in a concert.)
luna escondida – Il volo – Chile
Ignazio seemed to wait until the last minute to stand up to sing his part (resting?).
The report said he’s “still” taking antibiotics, so I am guessing Ignazio was sick during the Chile concert. Prayers for all 3. Yes!
Possibly signs of sickness weren’t all I noticed in those 2 videos. Ignazio looks awesome with his hair style! His voice and passion did not suffer at all. Utterly amazing!
I can’t believe how many concerts through the 16th. I’ve started to hope and pray that the boys can go Home for a preliminary rest between November 17th and November 28th. Then Christmas touring, then a long Christmas, New Years and more break!
Prayers, love, prayers, love!
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
I just sent in a prayer request to my Quaker Meeting’s prayer chain. This might be a time for us to reach beyond ourselves for prayer support for our guys.
In the arms of angels,
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Already sent a prayer request to my Franciscan family throughout the world.
I did not see this earlier. This answers my question above
Jeannine I saw what you saw on the video of him wiping his brow & I thought that was odd. So he must have been sick for a while then I am also concerned how can he sing with a sore throat? He could lose his singing voice I am sure singing is not good for his voice right now.
How angry I am at the management that they don’t cancel this tour until these guys get some rest & feel better especially if Ignazio is sick now. It is time for bed rest not touring. What is the matter with Barbara that she can’t insist that the tour be stopped until they are healthier. These concerts can be booked for another time when they are not sick. Other entertainers do that all the time.. These voices re precious & not to be destroyed because of greed from the nmanagement or Live Nation.
Jeannine I don’t expect anyone to respond to my request please insist to others that they pray every minute they can to help Ignazio get better & for the management to wake up & pay attention to these beautiful young men. They can’t make money for them if they are sick, They should not have been put into Live Nations clutches in the first place. I am beside myself with grief for these guy to see how they are pushed & yet they don’t complain. I don’t know how the management can be so blind to see NOW that Ignazio is sick & still not cancel the concert. The damn concert can be done another day when the boys are healthier.
Jeannine please see wjat you can do even if you can ask Myron to phone someone about proper protection for the boys.
Thank you, Loretta and Jeanine for the prayers you are sending and asking others to do the same. Prayer chains need to be started wherever that is possible. We need to support our loved ones at this time. We believe that they are “God sent” and as such they are in His care and surrounded by his love. Flight Crew members please take up this vigil.
You bet, Mary. We’re all in this together! And it’s great to see a post from you. I always think of you in the van with Piero!!
Oh, now you’re hearts going to be racing. Hope you can sleep! (; >)
~ Jeanine D.
I was just on the phone today (Nov. 1st) with part of the management. This topic did not come up BUT it turns out they are looking for more performance dates in December in the USA for the Christmas show. There is nothing set for sure but the Italy Dec. performance talked about earlier conflicts with one of these possible dates. By the way, I have emailed my concern about voice health and general health. I think they are worried although I don’t know why Ignazio was on that interview show instead of in bed. These next days are really cramped with concerts.
I have been praying ever since I read that Ignazio was sick. It is hard to hear that one of Our Boys is sick, and yet he is carrying on like the trouper he is. My prayers are for all of them. The concert schedule is exhausting. And so my prayers are for Ignazio to regain his health, and for Piero and Gianluca to remain healthy.
I just watched the latest interview on Team Il Volo and he seems to be husky but in very good spirits. He kept saying he shouldn’t be talking and then talked more that the others. And he has Piero’s father bringing him tea with honey! (that was in one of the other interviews) so they are looking after him, just not as well as we could!
Jenny
I know he’ll be just fine, it’s the flu season and considering how many people they’re around it’s not surprising he caught it. Sounds like they’re taking good care of him.
Thanks to all for supporting Ignazio. Even if it is the flue season when they are sick they should be allowed to stop the next concert & do it at another time. My concern is how can anyone sing if they have a cold, flue, sore throat etc. He could damage his vocal chords. I don’t know the ins & outs of the throat anatomy but I’m sure Myron does. I & I am sure all of you DO NOT want him to damage his vocal chords so bad to affect his singing or being able to reach the super notes that he reaches already. I am also praying for all of them that this flue doesn’t go from one to the other.
Thanks Jeannine, Mary, Linda Snyder, Ailene, & Jenny for praying for him.
Ignazio, God is going to answer everyones prayers & you will be able to feel better soon.
,
I still think it is a disgrace that a couple concerts can’t be rescheduled until the boys feel healthier. Other entertainers reschedule when they are sick. AND IN MY OPINION it us greed.
Divine Grace angels say “Choose the most empowering interpretation.” I choose that this can be an opportunity to express our love and support for Ignazio, Gianluca, and Piero on an even deeper level.
First, whatever each of us believes, whether a spiritual faith, belief in God, in angels, in guides, belief in positive intention, belief in Life, in Family, in the Highest Good, or in sunshine, chicken soup, ginger tea, probiotics… we each are offering our best and highest wishes, prayers, practices for you, Ignazio, Piero, and Gianluca.
Second, even though we miss you terribly when we’re not in a concert or Meet & Greet with you, or when you’re home or out of our country touring, WE LOVE YOU. We are not fans who just “want” from you (want concerts, want albums, want interviews). We are Family. We Love you like Family. Family say, Take a nap, put the scarf (sciarpa?), drink this soup.
We love you enough to say, after you finish this Latin American tour (in whatever way you determine is best), go home to Italy, visit your family, play Play Station and soccer together. Rest up. There are enough days after November 29th to tour and promote your magnificent Buon Natale.
As your loving fans, we will be your promoters while you are resting. We will share songs, put the IL VOLO CDs in front of IL Divo where they belong, crank our IL VOLO music up as we pass cars, and much more. (We’ve made a list! : )
If anyone in the music industry would dare to think you are wimps because we are suggesting you rest and take care, I say No, you are PIONEERS! You are blazing a trail for how life can be: beautiful, restful, joyous, with magnificent performances at a reasonable pace. I choose this for you if it is your wish, too.
Thanks so much to your families, for Barbara, and for all who are caring for you with the Love we, too, wish to offer,
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Jeannine congratulations for putting your remarks so purely. I am sure everyone feels the same as I do. These precious boys are still learning & want to please & haven’t learned enough yet to say STOP or NO. I hope this a learning experience for them & management to allow days between concerts to give them some downtime to relax & recharge. I am being selfish to want to hear their pure voices with each note reached effortlessly. I hope next year they can can get a promoter who will give them the time between concerts they need.
I am so glad one of the fathers is there to give them the honeyed tea or whatever he is trying to do for them to stay healthy, God bless you Mr. Barone.
Ignazio, Gianluca & Piero you are all in my heart & prayers constantly & I hope you all stay healthy through the remainder of this tour & are able to go home for a few weeks to relax with your family, friends & your favourite foods. Ignazio I am looking forward to a composition of new music that is running around in your head & hope it is going to be included on your next album.
Thanks, Loretta. Your heart is warm and pure, and Our Boys are, no doubt, feeling your loving prayers!
~ Jeanine D.
I don’t know if you saw this video, but both Piero and Ignazio seem to be having some throat issues. http://youtu.be/6MimcuIl1PQ.
Thanks, Lijoy. That was pretty noticeable, and that was on the 29th.
So dear to see Ignazio put his arm out to reassure Piero.
Well, I believe in miracles, and I’ve experienced quite a number of them, so assuming the most empowering interpretation of this experience has been achieved, if they’re going to still perform tonight and the next night and so on, I hope Our Guys can miraculously be well and strong.
Keepin’ those prayers coming,
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
If you noticed, Piero was drinking tea not water.
Poor Babies did look under the weather. I guess that’s the price they pay for doing what they do. They are young and strong. They will be fine. I hope they consider this when making next years concert schedule. They still sound better than anybody, ever!
One thing that could be done is postpone or cut the PortoAlegro or Curitiba or both concerts to give more down time before the Sao Paulo battle begins. If this keeps up I think they will have to cancel one concert or two. I doubt they would re-do the concert format for one night for just two guys only (although other groups have done that before). No-win situation.
Myron do you have any in with Barbara that she could suggest a cancellation or two. How can anyone sing with a sore throat, I have never heard of anyone going on with a performance when sick. This breaks my heart to see that that they have no choice to say I’m sick.
Doesn’t Mr.Torpedine.or Tony Renis know they are sick, doesn’t Barbara tell them?? Doesn’t health come first?? If someone is permanently damaged then there is no career.
Thanks Lijoy for the link that was heartbreaking.
Loretta, I don’t think I have an “in” with Barbara more than anyone else. I would suggest more people email their concerns. This may be a little thing: they did have a Skype conference call today (some of the producers are here and not on tour). That may have been one of the topics covered. I would think so.
Myron don’t they have a voice coach doesn’t he know that they are having trouble singing. Doesn’t he have the authority to tell them to stop or they will damage their throats & voices. I know for a fact that if an opera singer has a cold or flue that she or he cannot sing for a while until they are completely cured & healthy again.
Loretta, you expressed just what I feel, don’t even know that anybody will take us on, in that world, the show must go on. now I am beginning to understand the comments flying around Mundial yesterday: it seems that the meet and greet was cancelled in Argentina, and some girls were angry about it,saying that when you are a celebrity you have do those things, and even suggesting that success had gone to their heads. IVMO,(bless them) answered and said that the boys should be allowed to have rest and sleep, and girls were just going to their hotel and generally harassing them a lot , and IVMO said that the girls should respect them and give them some privacy. now with what you are saying about Ignazio, I am realizing that management may be trying to give them a little rest when not in concert.
I personally have been praying for them every day for the last three years for their protection and for health an strength, and for wisdom for their management, so I will just double up now. strange as it may seem, they have priority in my prayer.
In the link Lijoy provided, do you think that is Mr. Barone – off stage giving them tea, it must have helped – they made it through the song. It’s too bad they could not have some time off to recover. Lot’s of people have something now – with the same symptoms and they are going to work — but their jobs do not include SINGING! How can you be expected to sing with a sore throat and upper respiratory infection?
Without completely cancelling their commitments during this whole tour we have seen:
1. Deleted solos
2. Cancelled or abbreviated Meet & Greets
3. “La Luna” was a new shorter arrangement.
4. Did they not reschedule Panama?
What have we not seen or noticed?
Exactly Lijoy is that going to tell the management that the concerts have to be spaced to allow for rest? They can’t be constantly pushed without regard for their health & not expect a complete collapse. This is not just their health but thier voices that matter. If they are destroyed then there is no careers. I am praying that the guys learn to speak up & say they have to have better protection for them & rest for their voices.
One thing in their favor is the presence of their parents. If it gets too bad you hope they will put their collective feet down.
I agree with you Deanne, I didn’t see the comments about cancelling a meet & greet I don’t speak any other language but English) but how can the girls get into their suites where is security it was pretty tight here in the States especially at Detroit. I have never heard of the girls getting into the suites in the States. There has to be protocol & more protection here than in the Latin countries.
Michele do you have a phone number to contact Barbara & see what is going on otr have the boys said they are fine.
Deanne they have as much priority in my prayers as my family so am praying every night to keep them safe when travelling & healthwise & protection for their voices so Deanne I will join you in doubling my prayers as well & I so hope others wil ldo the same. And maybe just maybe their management will learn or wake up to what is happening to them before its too late..
God bless you boys we’re getting Divine help.
Jeannine keep you constant prayer sgoing as well please.& hopefully the extra prayers you asked your group to say for the boys will work wonders as well.
God wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had a magic wand.
Funny, Loretta, (the magic wand)! Divine Grace often tells me I’m a “fairy godmother”, so let me see what I have here in my carriage… (; >)
As angels in the stories of yore so often say, “Fear not!”
Truly, let’s see Our Boys vibrant, healthy, energized by so much Love (and Mas Que Amor), and receiving all the extra special help needed through our prayers and all good wishes. (Yes, Loretta, prayers are ongoing. Thanks for your encouragement.)
Sweet tea, I mean dreams! (; >)
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Of course they need and deserve rest and take care of their healthy, but what happened in Buenos Aires is that m&g and an interview that Gianluca had tweeted about, was cancelled without any explanation. I think IVMO don´t know what is happened, because they are from Panamá, and I don´t think they have any connection with them or their managers. They only show what the boys put on twitter, instagram, and the photos, videos, sent by fans and Morena who is a collaborator. I like the site very much, is the best about Il Volo, but I think Barbara or even one of them should have explained why the cancelation. I am sure the girls will not complain if they knew about Ignazio´s ill, or if any of them are sick.
by the way: the concerts in Brazil could be postponed, but no way be cancelled.
Thank you Josie for that information then if the concert was postponed & not cancelled that could give the boys a few days rest to see if they can get rid of the flue bug.
Michele I have emailed Barbara a couple of times on the other site & never got a response as well as Tony Renis so I don’t think they will respond to me htis time either. They don’t know me from a hole in the ground. I suggested to you because I thought you had direct access to Barbara as you seemed to have at Ignazio’s birthday. If I am wrong then I apologize. Thank you for the emails but I won’t need them.
Sorry – I have no other information!
I can’t fall asleep because I am thinking about the boys not feeling well. I could tell Ignazio had a cold on the one interview. He was coughing and his throat was very raspy. However, he seemed to talk more than usual. Maybe Piero and Gianluca felt worse. They all seemed to be in good spirits. I do wish they would be given some time off to go back to Italy. I miss them not being in the states, but when your sick there is no place like home. I pray they will soon feel better and that they can soon get some time off to go home.
for the above questions to me- They do have a voice coach but I have not heard for sure if he is on this leg of the tour. He was with them in the USA. All he can do is urge them to take action. I would think that Barbara and Michele are sensible enough to realize that if they don’t “pay the bill now” they will surely ” pay twice the bill later”. that means : if they don’t give the vocal health issues space and time to improve now by a small change, then they will certainly end up being forced to cancel big time later.
Earlier I mentioned what has sometimes been done in other groups – make a short term change so that the music can be done with two singers and drop the solos. About two years ago Il Volo had a single performance in the winter time and Gianluca was snowed in elsewhere and could not get there so they hired a substitute to come in and do the shorten concert. Can you imagine that ? ? ? !!
One thing to watch for: how did tonight’s (Nov. 1) concert in Buenos Aires go – vocally ? How did each guy fare out. I have friends attending tomorrow’s concert so I will hear from them afterwards. In the meantime, I hope to get an answer back from Barbara.
Thank you, Myron!
I checked YouTube for today’s IL VOLO vids, and the only one that wasn’t October 31 or before was this exciting news…
Il volo en Argentina 2013 Gran Rex Disco de Oro
A gold disc awarded to IL VOLO in Argentina! Happy dancing for our guys!

They all seem quite lively!
Jenny
I just got done looking at some photos from their last Meet & Greet. One thing really stood out for me: Gianlucca in each photo but one, had his hands firmly in his pockets. Only in that one photo does he give a kiss and it just did not look like his normal warm sweet self.
In watching the LA CASA DEL POP interview, I thought GG looked distant, Piero was chatty and Ignazio coughed and looked a bit wan…However despite Ignazio not feeling his best, he still was flirting with the cute interviewer. (!!)
Cancelling concerts is a huge endeavor and expensive to do as well some management companies can be quite touchy on the subject because for many it comes down to the money factor. Very sad. I pray that it won’t be like that for our sweet Il Volo. They truly need a less grueling tour schedule. They are always in my prayers these days.
Piratesorka, I think Gianluca was upset for anything, tired but not sick. He can´t hide how he feels. About the interview, in my opinion, since that one in Panamá with the question about Pinocchio, when everyone have made joke of him, he has not spoken to much lately in interviews, but the girls on twitter are always thanking for his attention to the fans. So I think he is tired of this same kind of interview, but he is criticized ever, no matters what he has done, and when he has done nothing either.
Josie Franco:Since I am so poor at the Spanish language I did not know about the Pinocchio remark nor why anyone would joke about Gianlucca. He is a very sensitive soul and I think he is very earnest and true in whatever he says. Maybe he is a little sensitive about being the youngest too. As for their interviews most new “celebrities” get very tired of answering the same questions over and over and I can’t blame them! I think as he matures more he will learn to take a lesson from more seasoned stars and get a bit tougher (not in the bad way). His fans will always tell him of their love, of that I am sure!
Thanks Jenny (tjnewman), They seemed so proud! I know we are for them!
Pirate (love the name), I hope this is a lesson for next years scheduling! Poor tired babies.
Change of subject – I wish I could remember whose idea it was to give “Buon Natale” as Thanksgiving gifts, but thank you! I’ve just ordered four (and got free shipping). I already have two for me. One of my sisters is a true convert. She will love it! The other three..well, I have high hope for a good response from them. How could they not love it?
I too was inspired to order four more and give them as Thanksgiving gifts and now I am thinking of giving a few more!
Myron I am not writing Barbara she doesn’t know me & wouldn’t respond like before. I agree if they aren’t looking after their voices & be given time to recuperate then they will not be able to sing later either.
Thanks Jenny that was wonderful to see that they received an award & Piero sounded OK for talking.but I’m still praying.
Congratulations on your award Ignazio, Piero & Gianluca you deserve every award possible.
Giving Buon Natale as a Thanksgiving gift is a good idea, I think I’ll order a few extra copies myself. When you think of it, almost everyone plays Christmas music during the holidays, they might as well listen to the best!
Buon Natale debuted at #55 in the top 200 Billboard, #2 Classical, #1 Holiday Album.
Mas Que Amor is #27 on the Latin Album.
Thanks Lijoy! #1 Holiday Album. Not surprised. They’re #1 in all my music categories!
Linda, I’m hoping this CD is the turn-around for my sisters. I think they will listen to a Christmas album before a regular one. My fingers are crossed that they finally convert! One of them and her daughter like J. Bieber. You see how much I trust you guys? That was a dark family secret I usually keep to myself. Please don’t think less of me. I’m trying!
OMG, not Beiber!! I didn’t know things were that bad!!! Hopefully you can turn her away from the dark side towards the light that is Il Volo!!
“towards the light that is Il Volo”? Did you steal that line from Jeanine? Anyway, I hope they go into the light!
Liked that eh? It just happend while I was writing! We could all use some light.
Yup, Linda!

OK, It’s driving me crazy trying to remember who came up with the “Buon Natale” at Thanksgiving idea! Does anyone remember?
Deanne Smith in a post on The Best Day of Your Lives
Marie we uphold the Vegas pledge, what happens with Flight Crew stays with Flight Crew.
Snooping on the internet again, does anyone know that music director Aiden Zammitt graduated from medical school? Nice to have your own in house MD.
Finally….Thanks Deanne!
Lijoy, it’s a good pledge! It’s also good to know about the Doctor in the house!!
What a wonderful idea – giving “Buon Natale” as Thanksgiving gifts. I’m ordering two more for host/hostess gifts.
I, too, am worried about Our Boys health. I do hope they got the flu shot.
I’ve been watching some videos from the Il Volo concerts in Latin and South America. The screaming of the young ladies attending these concert is so loud you can hardy hear our beloved Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca singing. Do Our Boys really like this? I know I sound like a staid old lady, but I would be upset if I went to a concert and couldn’t hear those glorious voices. But they are young enough that they probably lap up all that adoration!
I agree Ailene when I go to a concert I want to hear their melodious voices & everyone better be quiet no hollering until they are finished. I am also sure they like the adoration of the younger generation because they are also their own ages & that is to be expected. Why the teenagers want to scream during the singing is beyond me, don’t they go to hear their voices?? Obviously not.
I would think they would like it for a while. Their music is so important to them. I can’t imagine it would be long that adoration would overrule their love of the pure beauty and hard work they put into it.
There are definitely going to be some lucky families this Thanksgiving!
I agree Marie I noticed once on stage Gianluca made a motion to his lips to the crowd & another motion to whoever was siningr to tell the crowd to be quiet that was a couple of years ago but perhaps there should be posters for the kids to get the message to scream after the song is sung. If anyone screams during their singing when I am at a concert I will put something in their mouth to shut them up. Thank God that hasn’t happened yet. I hope our prayers have had some healing effect on Ignazio. I heard the boys on the video being interviewed & Piero sounds fine but Ignazio is sick his voice was husky & he was coughing. Why he didn’t stay in bed is beyond me. Is it really true that they can’t say they are sick? & the show must go on, what a stupid saying. I would hate for his voice to be ruined.
I agree with all of the above. But, I am recalling an era where when the BEATLES were in concert, the screaming was deafening! I am not comparing IL VOLO to the Beatles (because IL VOLO is in a class all of their own) but you get a massive group of young females together, put three gorgeous Italian young men on stage…the girls go wild no matter what the young men do!! I, too, would not want to have their out of this world voices over shadowed by screaming had I paid money to attend a concert. I’m just saying I understand why these young girls do what they do! 🙂 My prayers are with our three wonderful boys…hoping they are allowed to do what is best for them…R&R. They have said in earlier interviews they are glad their management team does not “market them as a product”…let’s see if that is true. Give their general health and well being the respect it deserves…
I agree Mary C. I am just wondering like my grandson when I say put a coat on its cold or go to bed & take care of that cold or do you have to out with that cold he just comes back & says I’m fine he is 19 same as Ignazio. Athought Ignazio is more mature than my Ryan, I am wondering if Ignazio has said the same thing I am fine & firmly believes the show must go on with no idea of what it is doing to his vocal chords. I am also wondering if they have been in touch with their voice teacher. From what I can see nothing has been postponed for a few days even if they let Ignazio stay in bed & hired the opera singer to fill his place for a couple of concerts. She could & has the quality of voice that would blend in with Piero & Gianluca for a couple of shows. Its an idea which will never be heard or picked up but this is what I was thinking could be done giving Ignazio to have some down time & rest his voice.& get rid of the congestion in his lungs. I also wonder if he is on medication from a doctor. Hope Mr. Zammit is knowledgeable about medications since he took his physicians exams years ago. I can’t help stopping every once in a while & send out prayers for Ignazio, he is so precious to me. I so wish the management would take charge & send him to bed for a few days & give them all a chance to relax.. Nie talking to you Maryc
What are we going to do when The Boys are not touring?
Lijoy – The guys are always doing something – we’ll have plenty to do, don’t worry!
Can someone tell me is there a Buon Natale PBS Christmas DVD coming out on November 30 & will Mary Bohling be able to get it at the Mall of America?
Mary are you looking at this blog???? she will be going on the 29th
I’ll call B&N and see when it will be available, but I think not until the PBS stations are through using it for their pledge drive shows. I will buy it from them if that is when it is first available. Loretta, yes, yes, I am following this blog multiple times a day hoping for updates on the boys health. That DVD isn’t going to be played on my local station until sometime in December. It is definitely not on the schedule for November, darn.
OK everyone, relax!!! “The Boys” are in Brazil and their next concert isn’t till Nov 5th!! This gives them almost 3 days of rest.
Thanks, Linda, I’ve been hoping for an update. Glad to hear that they will have a little break–just hope it’s enough. Taking a page from Jeanine I should say I know it will be enough….think positively, right, Jeanine?
Positively trusting in wonderful R&R, Mary! (; >)
Linda, what happened? The time you posted would have been before the November 2nd Buenos Aires concert. Was this 3rd concert cancelled or re-scheduled, or was it a matinee? I haven’t seen any official news other than yours.
Great to hear of their time off! And, of course, prayers now that they don’t party too hard disco dancing! (; >) Oh, unless, of course, it will sweat the flu right out of them!

I´ll try to do tomorrow, ok?
Good to hear Linda, but please everybody, keep up the prayers until Brazil is finished and that is not till 12th Nov, and then we need some more prayers: for management to stop putting so much pressure on them by planning so many concerts so close. we have to put pressure from above, Understand!!!! that one works, the other one doesn’t.
AGREED Deanne still praying good to hear they are going to have a rest. Hopefully Ignazio is on antibiotics to get rid of the congestion in his lungs
josie could you hear over the screaming what the conversation was between Ignazio, and the grandpa at the concert. Obviously, he’s a fan! According to the posts, he ask for them to sing “Smile”, but they didn’t. Probably could not change the playlist. Most interested in Igazio’s reply. What a sweetheart our boy is!!!
Yes, hard to hear over that noise. The man asked to them sing Smile (they had only sung 02 songs and they´d sing Smile later) After they have sung Smile the man stood up and said thank you very much at least 3 times and Ignazio said: with pleasure, we are here to sing for all of you, and the man said thanks from my heart and Ignazio replied thank you, bye sir.
