    1. Happy Birthday, Michelle, and many, many more – all filled with music from Our Boys!

  1. Buon Compleanno, Michele!

Wishing you sweet IL VOLO dreams for your birthday!

  2. Michele… I hope you have the most wonderful birthday ever! You have gone out of your way to be kind and thoughtful to me, and I appreciate you more than I can say.. .Here’s to a Happy, Happy day, and many more!!!
    Helen B.

  3. Thank you all!!!! It’s 27 degrees and windy this morning – but your birthday wishes will warm my day! I wish I was going to the last Il Volo concert in Brasil tonight to celebrate – alas – here I am in DC getting ready for work! That’s ok – I will see Il Volo again soon! Have a great day – Ciao.

PS Helen, please don’t stay away so long again!! We really missed you! m.

      1. But Nigel is fun also, Monti was Italian composer from Naples and oddly enough he composed these Czardas, guess due to “Italian creativity”

  4. Let me tell you something about my little (board) sister. She has friends in many places and likes to travel to and with them. Her favorite destination is, of course, an Il Volo Concert. She likes dolphins and the number 13. Did you know that Michele spends her days helping to provide the security for our country? Yes she does! We share a dream of renting that Villa in Italy and attending an Il Volo Concert there. She makes smashing concert videos and loves Ignazio almost as much as her big sister!

Three cheers for the Birthday Girl!

    1. Thanks Marie!!! I do love all those things – you have me right – only thing you missed is I am a summer girl and upset I can’t wear my sandals today! You know what – I think I will wear them anyway, 27 degrees or not, it’s my birthday!

Oh, and I think I love Ignazio MORE than you do Marie!!! Sorry! I love Piero and Gianluca too!

Have a great last concert in Brasil Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca on my birthday! I know you will!

  5. Mlla I am certainly impressed with Nigel Kennedy, I have never heard a violin played to magnificently. It was stupendous.
Also Victor Borge & his playing the piano. I have one of his CD’s & if you ever want a good laugh He is worth watching. I saw him at the O’Keefe Centre after it was built years ago.. My ex-husband & I sat in the first row & I could hardly see him for laughing so much. Thanks for those videos, your videos are always entertaining.

  6. Happy birthday Michele. I am inviting you again to come to LA for the tree lighting and CD signing. It is warm in SoCal and you can put on your sandals. But most importantly, you can meet ME! Don’t work too hard, it’s your special day.

    1. Elaine I really want to accept your invitation! I want to meet YOU in person – actually I feel we are so very well acquainted now, don’t you? It seems like we have known each other for years!!! LOL

Isn’t the tree lighting this coming Sunday and Santa Monica the following Saturday! Oh, if I only could figure out how to get away!

    1. Lijoy, thank you sooooo much for sharing this!

I went there, ordered the last copy, and it’s due to arrive in my mailbox on Tuesday! I didn’t know there was a way to get the DVD before the PBS TV performance!

I still hope to see the PBS Special on TV, with all the wonderful pledge breaks and interview moments. My fav so far is the one from PBS Chicago. So sweet!

I’m dreaming of our angels singing some glorious Christmas music (Ave Maria, O Holy Night… ?) with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, conducted by Gustav Dudamel and performed in the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles! (This is on my “wouldn’t it be wonderful if”…? list!) The though gives me angel chills!

      Listening to Buon Natale…
      ~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway

  7. Thanks Lijoy! Ordered it! Can’t believe it’s out! Got the last one from one seller but there was another seller also. Both had excellent ratings.

    1. Thanks Lijoy, I just ordered one on eBay…supposed to come by Monday. Have never done that before, but since you and Marie say it’s okay I got brave and did it. Hurry up Monday!!

    1. Thank you Allene. Thank you again everyone!

Going to look for Buon Natale DVD on eBay. I can’t believe it – how did they get it?

  8. Everyone – you know how Google knows everything about us – if you use the search engine or gmail – you know to expect no privacy – right? Well, I opened Google today and there are cakes and cupcakes with candles in them – and when I scroll over the cakes, it says “Happy Birthday Michele” isn’t that scary? It happened at work too! Google knows everything!

  9. Michele, I’m sorry that this birthday wish is coming so late in the day, but I hope you had a wonderful Birthday. I know CA is a better offer since ll Volo will be there, but don’t forget, it’s warm here in South Florida, too, so you are more than welcome to bring yourself (and your sandals) down here to visit. Would love to meet ya.

    1. And I would love to come! Thank you Leelee! I’m hoping Il Volo will come to Florida soon! Would love to meet you as well! I love Florida!

  10. Happy Birthday Michele. I hope you have had a special day celebrating YOU! Wishing I were in sunny CA with you wearing my sandals (which are packed away until summer 🙂 Sweet IL VOLO dreams !!

  11. It’s only 11pm here and there is still 1 more hour left of my day, but I am going to say Buonanotte and grazie for all your Birthday wishes. I think I will watch some Il VOLO videos until it’s tomorrow!

It’s 2 AM in Brazil – and do you know where Il Volo is? I hope sleeping or on the way to Panama!

  12. Apologies to all Those of you who asked for the interview translation. As a matter of fact I did it, but my pc , right at the end, decided was not meant to be ! As I worked while online & did not save it to a file, all work done disappeared – lesson learned -. Pc blacked out, I will not tell u my thoughts at that moment… I still need to get over it ….so for now not quite feeling sure that I shall start all over again, will see.
Sorry for this inconvenience and for disappointing u.

I just hope now the boys can soon get some rest.Think they fully deserve and need it!

Another artist that you may aleady know that like the boys sings with all the passion and heart, let run video till the very end…and you will see, is Mariza. Especially in this Fado, called Gente da Minha Terra which translates from Portuguese into something like People of my land, words by Amàlia Rodriguez and music by Tiago Machado (all rights/credits of the video to the respective owners)
This live concert was held in the beautiful city of Lisbon, Portugal and you can see the famous Belem Tower in the background as the image is quite good.
    Cheers .

    1. now I promise shall keep quiet with video for a while…would not like to be pestering u! Ciao to all!

    2. So sorry you did all that generous work translating for us, mlla, and then lost it all! Thank you so much for your efforts!

Mariza was powerfully beautiful and truly passionate. Thank you!

BTW, I looked at another Gustav Dudamel video (YouTube name below)
      Gustavo Dudamel: “Shakespeare & Tchaikovsky”
and at the end it said
“Filmed at Walt Disney Concert Hall, Los Angeles
      Courtesy of Los Angeles Philharmonic”

The acoustics are fabulous, and I can’t help but wonder if the Walt Disney Concert Hall in L.A. (with Dudamel conducting??) might be another Disney connection for Our Guys. Can’t you just see them doing a concert there to celebrate the release of their Disney film (which, yes, is still unconfirmed, to my knowledge)??

Love those “Wouldn’t it be wonderful if…” thoughts! (; >)

Loved your Borge birthday renditions for Michele!

    1. Second time that my post didn’t come through in a timely manner, and I ended up posting a second time. So sorry.

Love this. Now listening to Righteous Brothers Unchained Melody regularly!

      Love Our Boys!
      ~ Jeanine D.

      1. 😉
do not worry, at times I also have a problem in posting, so never sure if & where will end up ..
        Ta ta

      2. Good to hear from you, Loretta.

I agree that I want to hear Ignazio sing all of Unchained Melody… and all of some Stevie Wonder songs!
It’s soooo fun to hear our guys playing around / jamming, like Gianluca singing All of Me, and the other day Piero on drums and Ignazio on bass.

It seems there is no end to their talent, as well as their love of music. Wouldn’t have it any other way! (; >)
