Here are a few pictures from our weekend. It was so special from start to finish. Meeting more Flight Crew members was so fun…finally putting faces with names we have become familiar with on-line. Truly some of the nicest women we will ever know…and all have such GOOD TASTE IN MUSIC!!

The concert was SO beautiful! The words have all been said as I read all the different reviews of the previous concerts on this tour. There just are not enough words in the English language to say all I would love to say about these three special young men. Those here on this site know exactly what I mean. This was the FIRST concert for Allene which brought me joy just watching HER as she experienced the magic we all feel when we see them in person! I was able to talk with Barbara and Mrs. Ginoble as we stood in line waiting our turn to see the guys. The Meet and Greet afterward went by quickly, but I got my hug from all three…AND they remembered us from the MOA when they saw the small posters Mary B. had made for them to sign for us. Gianluca said right away, “Oh yeah, you were in Minneapolis!” Warmed our hearts! My final hug was from Ignazio who was wearing a cologne that lingered on my blouse ALL NIGHT LONG!! Pure HEAVEN!!

IL VOLO will always be remembered for being First Class, World Class Entertainment AND First Class Human Beings! They are simply the best!

Jane,
It was great fun meeting and having dinner with all of you!
I like you so well that I forgive you for smelling Ignazio.

  1. Marie, I even figured out (with the help of my son) what fragrance it was that was so intoxicating that evening!! My husband said he would wear it if I promise not to call him by an Italian name!! 🙂

  2. It was so great to see y’all again! The concert was soooo wonderful, such talent and so friendly. They treat their fans like they really care about us. I know what you meant about Ignazio’s cologne, it was so ‘him’ but my blouse didn’t retain the scent, RATS!

Hope to see y’all in The Cities for lunch or dinner.

I have already started my Il Volo savings for next year…

    Suzy
    Ps, thanks for the picture

  3. Suzy, Allene, Mary and I decided on the way home from our weekend we are going to have a MINNESOTA IL VOLO CONVENTION this fall!!!! YOU will be hearing from us!!! Can’t wait to get together again. So glad you were able to bring your friend that night. What a night it was!!! 🙂

    1. There might be an Il Volo convention in Las Vegas this fall or early December as well.

      1. Oh be still my heart… Myron, you sure know how to get this old gals heart beating faster … Thank you for a wonderful bit of news.. We all hope that it happens … We need Il Volo in the Live Entertainment Capital of the world…Las Vegas!!!

      2. Hi Myron,

Have you heard anything more about Il Volo appearing in Las Vegas in Nov. or Dec.? When I saw them at a M&G in Elgin, Il., they didn’t seem to know anything about it. Would love to come to the Il Volo convention. Keep us posted.

  4. Acqua Di Gio, by Giorgio Armani!! I will NEVER forget that scent!! (Nor the one wearing it) 🙂

    1. I am sure you won’t forget it! Scents seem to be connected to our memories–we catch of whiff of something and it brings us back to whenever we smelled it last. You will have sweet scented memories forever!

  5. Suzy…if they start bottling the “essence of our guys”…LOOK OUT!!!! Hmmmm…maybe we should start up our own business…:-)

      1. ESSENZA IL VOLO!!! I like that one. Well, that was the easy part, naming it…now off to Italy to do our “homework” 🙂

      2. Italy, research….I’m packing. Just imagine how long it will take to sniff. discerningly of course and merely for research, and there are three of them. Oh the lengths I will go to for science. But I will persevere. LOL

        Suzy

      3. Penina, I would do this homework with you in a heartbeat! It would be easy to find Piero, we’d just need to hit the BEACH! Ignazio , we’d just have to search out his new car with his little “Buddie” dog next to him in the front seat. It would be easy to find Giianluca…just look for a trail of women (young and old)!! Piece of cake! 🙂

      4. I think we will need more than one piece of cake! They all seem to like their snacks! Maybe we can use it as bait. But how do we siphon off the Essenze??

      5. First, you could get three more of the beautiful cake you gave to Piero for his birthday…one for each guy. Now actually getting the essenza will be the tricky part. We will have to contact the EXPERT, (Marie) to get some safe, fool proof method!

      6. I don’t trust her–she’ll keep all of the Iganzio Essenze to herself!!

      7. Penina…we HAVE to trust her…she is one of our FEARLESS LEADERS HERE! 🙂

    1. Scented CDs, we can always dream. I keep sniffing my purple blouse, just in case, but nada. I love peninahonig’s post. I’ll take 100 cases of each please

      1. They do have a nice ring to them, don’t they? I just had a crazy mental image of a bunch of grannies running after them with various tools trying to catch the “essence!”

  6. OK, that settles it!! New company on the horizon…only we will need MANY “experts” to go to Italy and determine what “essence” will work for each guy. Any volunteers??? 🙂

  7. This post is PRICELESS!!!!!!! 😀 Thank you Ms. Maryjane for sharing your story, and I have to agree with you. Everyone in the Flight Crew does seem to have excellent taste in music! Your article and photos were great, but we may have to talk to Ms. Crider about her editing job! 😉 Also, I would like to agree with the above statement that it is easy to picture all of you running after The Boys trying to capture their “essence” in a bottle! Scented CD’s also sounds like a idea that could come only from this Crew. I am feel so lucky to be a part of this group. You never quite know just what you’ll find! 😀

  8. My pleasure Annie.

Teresa! Good cause my foot! You just want to smell the guys! Take a number!

But Miss Isabel, it’s so fun having the edit button!

  9. You guys are great. What a treat to read your quips each day.Let’s all take a trip to Italy and visit the boys on their home turf. I’m first in line, Joanie

  10. Thank you, everyone for your funny and wonderful messages. I am so happy to be here too. Met other Flight Crew members in Wisconsin and it was really wonderful. Seeing the boys for the 1st time live and meeting them was a dream come true. A plus was greeting and hugging Barbara and Mrs. Ginoble, what gracious and lovely ladies, who came right over to us w/out hesitation. Barbara took our M&G photos, along w/my son…what night to remember. Love to all!!! ♥

    1. Harriett, your son, Eric, certainly enjoyed you having a great time. He certainly was having a good time, especially at the meet and greet when he was having his picture taken with the guys. A night you and I will never forget!

  11. Yay, Myron, count me, Jane and Mary B. in on your Las Vegas Il Volo convention. Jane I’ve added Ignazio cologne to my shopping list. Hmm, I wonder how much I should buy. And I love all the names suggested for the Essenze of Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca. When they come up for sale, I’ll be the first in line. Essenze of Piero might send me into orbit!

  12. I love the names you all have come up with, especially “ESSENZA IL VOLO”! Someone said it, priceless!

  13. So late to this party, but I have to agree: The Guys smell amazing, and I would buy pretty much whatever fragrance that is under whatever name we want to call it. 🙂

    Thanks for sharing, Jane.
