Well Ladies, I think it’s time we tell our fellow Crew members who the luckiest women on the planet are next to our pal’s just coming back from Italy (that trip continued soon)!!
Several of us are going to that Dinner in Detroit with the Boys on July 6th!!(Hard to type while dancing!)
I don’t think any of us have slept since we scored tickets a couple of weeks ago. It’s doubtful we will sleep until sometime after July 6th. “We” are – Jana, Mary B., Jane (maryjane), Allene, Suzy and myself. There are also about 10 others we know who will be there.
Since you are already green with envy, I may as well tell you what we know of the agenda. There will be 25 couples and according to the invitation, “This special ‘Wine & Dine’ evening includes Dinner, Meet & Greet/Photos with Il Volo and a Studio Experience – watch from our studios as the guys pledge their new show across metro Detroit… live!”
Can’t seem to stop Jana from jumping up and down. She has never touched them, but plans to do that very thing, that very night. I might touch one or two of them myself! Sure!
We will be wearing our Flight Crew badges/lanyards so the Boys will be sure to know we are bringing you all with us.
We’re thinking it will be as close to Pompeii and the Guys as we’re ever going to get…Or was that as close to heaven…?

How very fortunate for all of you! Give them hugs and kisses from all of us! Whisper in Ignazio’s ear that I have written a children’s book about them. I hope to find a publisher soon. It is called the Tale of the Three Singing Squirrels. As young teenage boys closely resemble squirrels in boy suits, I turned our wonderful boys into squirrels. It is about how they learned to sing as young teenagers and the antics that only young teenagers can create for themselves. It is a parody based upon themselves and their families.
I am still not recovered from my strained muscles. Finally got some more medication for the pain! Hope I am now on the road to recovery!! To top this all off I find out the luckiest FC ladies in the world have tickets to the Detroit PBS Special!!! OMG, how are you staying anchored to the ground?!? It will be the best nite of your lives!!! I am so thrilled for you!!! Since there are 6 of you going, could someone give each of the guys a hug for my English friend, Marlene who has cancer & probably will not get to see them again. She loves all 3 but her true love is, who else, Ignazio!!! Sandi, your book sounds great!!! July 6th will be here before you know it. It will be Heaven!!!

Hello all! Sorry I am a little late in responding here, but I’ve been a bit busy planning all the final touches on day/s before their arrival….hair, nails, badge holders, dinner logistics, hotel, etc.!! Yes, I am very excited, but have been keeping busy, so the time is going pretty quickly actually. Trying to keep cool, as I will also be a volunteer in the phone bank for the pledge drive. They told us in an email to the volunteers that to be prepared, just in case they have to re-shoot the pledge breaks!! Wow, live TV! Wonder if the guys will do anything crazy!! Only one other person wants to give hugs to Ignazio? How nice, saving him for me and Marie! Lol! Yes, I’m sure touching Ignazio will be pure happiness along with some electricity! 🙂 It is now July 4 – OMG just 48 hours from now and it will be all over!! We will only have 36 seconds with the guys and they will have a professional photographer there, so hope we can take our own pictures, too? Wish we could take you all with us! From Cinderella, “a dream is a wish your heart makes…” who says dreams don’t come true? This is certainly one dream of mine that will be coming true. I have been planning for this day since I left their concert last June 19. I didn’t know where; I didn’t know when, but I was going to be ready, and I am! 🙂

Jana– I know how excited you are but try to zero in on every second that your with them and not get brain freeze like so many of us do. You’ll want to remember the entire encounter forever after !!! congratulations ladies ! I wish I could go with you. have a good time. I have one request. Is it possible for you to ask Barbara what exactly happened at the Rome concert ? A number of fans are upset with Piero for what happened between him and Ignazio. I’m not sure what this was myself but I have read comments about it. I don’t want to feel bad about any of these young men since I love all three. Please ignore this request if I am out of line.

There are a few videos around that show what happened. Here is what I think I know. Ignazio played some prank on Piero. To get him back, on stage Piero came up behind Ignazio and hit him in the privates. I think he got him harder than he meant to or it was just an accident. This all happened in the middle of a song. Ignazio sat down on a step. Shook his head, took a breath and when it came to his part in the song he sang the first line or two in soprano. It really was hilarious! Ignazio didn’t SEEM angry, but of course, I don’t know for certain
Don’t mean to rub it in, but in 24 hours I will be getting ready for dinner!!!
Thanks Marie for this information. I did watch the video but it was fuzzy . I enjoyed Ignazio’s singing with that “soprano” voice. I could listen to him sing a whole song in that voice.
