I found the paper that had this message on it and it is old because it is turning yellow. I thought of us ladies in our group that are past the “I am 39” and still trying to keep a cheerful attitude and not afraid of adventure. Be it thru the media or for the lucky, in actual life. -Gina

This weekend a great friend of mine and I are going on our mid year trip to the place where we met over 46 years ago. It is not Italy or a fancy beach resort just a place to get away from the daily stress of life. While we are there we will plan our yearly Christmas trip. Time seems to fly by so fast and it keeps adding another year to our Birthdays so we change our destinations to fit our capabilities. I do not want to give up looking forward.
Great thoughts on aging! I have a trip planned with my 2 daughters & my Grandaughter July 31st to Seattle to visit my second oldest son & family! Still having some strained muscle problems , also IBS flare up! Got new meds yesterday but Pharmancy won’t have it in till this afternoon! I can’t drive yet so am trying to stay positive & get better! It’s so difficult to be forced to slow down! Thanks for letting me “blow off steam!” Thank you, Il Volo for keeping my outlook positive!!!
Thank you Gina & whoever Anonymous is. That is my positive outlook & I won’t think any other. My motto keep moving. I will still think I can do anything because I won’t let my body tell me differently. If I find I can’t I’m not stupid to put myself in jeapardy. I will not back down or think any other way because I am determined to reach 100. If that sounds crazy who cares. These Il Volo sweethearts have made me feel young & happy & I tell everyone I am in love with a 20 year old. Both sons think I am nuts & one sons friend teasingly calls me a stalker. I don’t care I feel good about me & if there is ever a serum comes out that will make me look younger then I will buy it
Loretta, I get the same from all my friends and family. My grand daughters (6) just humor me. The 32 yr old is so sweet, she tells me, gramma, you love thôse IL VOLO boys as much as you want to. My kids tell me they’ll help me find all the CDs and buy them for me. My sisters and friends think it’s so adorable how I rattle on about the boys. They call me a cougar. I’m proud of my devotion to these gorgeous, talented young men. Especially, Gianluca. They make me feel as though I’m in my teens again. (70). Nothings wrong with us. We just feel young again flirting with these young BUCKS.
This is a beautiful post Gina !! Our boys have definitely been keeping me young !! My friends say I’m in my second adolescence !! Ain’t it great !!! My sons think my passion is a little creepy but at least they finally get it and they’re happy for me !!
Looking forward to going to our Guy’s Concerts, M&G’s, and meeting more of my Flight Crew Family and others in the Il Volo community keeps me going and feeling young !! And my recent trip to Italy contributed greatly to my sense of well being and happiness !! I hope I will be able to go on another trip in the near future !!
It’s wonderful to always have something in your life to look forward to !! And even if you are staying put at home you can always look forward to following our precious Guys everyday on all the social media sites !!! They make us all feel happy and young at heart everyday !!
That was an excellent essay Gina! Good ole Mr or Mis Anon.Y.Mous! I completely subscribe to its ideas. As I have gone through the decades I have met people who share the same age as I and yet were always much much older in their thinking and actions. When I was young I was deemed old by certain standards. Now as I am in my Sixty-wONEderful year the only thing that tells me I am old is my achy knees. Loving IL VOLO as I do I now quite happily accept my friends amazement that I could possibly be interested in IL VOLO with its 40 year difference in age. I tell them I AIN’T DEAD YET.
Thank God for IL VOLO, they continue to give me good reason not to be defeated by mere numbers!

Your thoughts on age is right on. One is only as old as they think that is why I continue to be very young.

Wow. Well said and oh so definitely true. I had an aunt who lived to 108 1/2 with a fun indomitable spirit and humor as an example of this.
