They Shouted – They Are Coming – They Are Coming! ~ Gina

on Madelines FB. Azelea promotions

We the US fans have very strong feelings about ‘the boys’ of IL VOLO. Since the very beginning they spent several of their formative years in the States and we feel that we the fans played a great part in their growth. We love them, worry about them and to be honest are a little jealous and protective.
Some of us were there in 2009 and thru the years many came in one by one into this group. It makes no difference when we discovered them but it makes a difference that we finally fell in love.
Many had the opportunity to see them live in one, two and some four live concerts but many of us could only ‘hug’ the YouTube. I live in Texas and to some it is still  the ‘Wild West’ so it was a great surprise to see Dallas, Austin and San Antonio on the list. I immediately went into a panic mode on how will I get there and how will I get tickets. I live 100 miles from two Theaters and 200 from San Antonio. When I calmed down I contacted the people that would be my “escorts”. Well my daughter was on her way to St. Lucia for a week and others had other things to do. I did not stop. There are e-mails and tex-ing. So at the moment there is a ‘WALL OF SILENCE’ from the family. Texas venues will start selling on the 28th with pre-sale 26th. It was not an easy task to find out this little information. Seems every young lady that answered the phone never heard of IL VOLO. I did educate them.
The reason I would like to post this is so some fans, who for one reason or another, will not be able to go to  the concerts can share some of the IL VOLO tour.
I want to post a few of the Theaters they will sing at.  Too many to do all.

Paramount Theatre

Built by Temple Buell for Publix Theatres in 1930, the Paramount Theatre instantly surpassed the standards of the dozens of theatres that lined the streets of Denver and has remained the only local theatre of its time to maintain its original dignity and glamour. It is significant not only as an excellent illustration of Art Deco design and craftsmanship and a tribute to an architect who made considerable contributions to the Denver region, but as a unique reflection of a broad social and cultural phenomenon that prevailed in the early decades of the 20th century in Denver and the entire nation

  1. I had my daughter at my house on the computer waiting for the 10:00 AM countdown on August 26th. We did get our tickets so I, my daughter and two friends are going to Dallas for our first live concert. My youngest daughter lives in Dallas so she will take us in for the night. Grateful since she is the one that gave away my gift of an IlVolo CD to a friend. I am still working on the ‘forget and forgive”. Now I live in anxiety that maybe Dallas will not have enough people buying tickets and they will cancel. Searched and did find several “Italian-American” clubs and tons of Italian food restaurants. HOPE.

    1. Gina: Please don’t give up hope about them filling the theater! When they were in Dallas before, they filled a 6,000 seat theater, and The Majestic is much smaller than that! I’ll be there too, along with two dear friends who like Il Volo, but think I’m off the deep end and crazy!
      Keep on HOPEing!

  2. Gina, thanks for the photos of the theaters! My daughter and I have tickets for the concert in San Antonio! I really never thought they’d come here. We live about an hour away from SA and/or Austin, and about 2-3 hours from Dallas! Their stay in Texas will be like a whirlwind!! Can hardly wait !! Hope you have a good time in Dallas! Dot in Gonzales!!

  3. Nice work Gina, Theaters are beautiful. I changed the pictures a little. Hope it’s ok.

I can’t imagine Il Volo fans not filling that gorgeous Dallas theater and maybe even going SRO! Relax Gina.

If the worse should happen..I wonder how long it would take you, Linda, Dorothy and I to go door-to-door in all of Dallas and ask, “What were you thinking?”

  4. Very nice article, Gina. I am so happy for you they are finally coming your way! The photos of the venues are beautiful. Counting the days until they return! 🙂

  5. I got tickets to the Mesa, AZ concert along with M/G. I am treating my sister who lives in Tempe. What a beautiful venue and while my seats are excellent, I hear there is not a bad seat in this venue. It was built specifically for concerts and has the best acoustics. This will be my first concert (they have skipped my general area two years in a row now).!

  6. Theaters are very nice and suitable places for beautiful music of boys. 🙂 Somewhere I read that in the future European tour, they will sing in several theaters in capital cities, but I do not know if this is true information, because officially no one mentioned informations about European tour…But Il Volo had one concert outside Italy, I read an interesting article ” A weekend with Il Volo” written by fans of Malta, who shared their experiences with Il Volo, who had August 29th concert in Malta. You can read it ( is in English):http://www.thirdeyemalta.com/article.php?article=20150901170500#prettyPhoto

    1. Lydka, this story from the fans of Malta is absolutely wonderful! What an amazing experience for those young girls. They will be walking on clouds for some time to come. Thanks so much for sharing this!

      1. Yes ,girls from Malta are truly happy young ladies, who have experienced unforgettable weekend with guys. From their article person could feel genuine joy, enthusiasm and love, admiration and dedication, simply positive vibes, so I liked and I shared it with you. 🙂 Glad you liked it too. 🙂 Have a great day and God’s blessing !
Jane, I sincerely greet you. 🙂

  7. Il Volo will joining 40th Anniversary Gala Weekend in Washington, D.C. in October.
Il Volo will make a special appearance at Friday October 16 event, “Joe Piscopo and Friends Celebrate Frank Sinatra’s 100th Birthday,” and will perform on the evening of the Gala on Saturday October 17. ( interesting day 🙂 , my birthday 😀 ) You can buy tickets : http://www.niaf.org/40.

      1. Hey pirate, we haven’t nagged lately. We are falling down on the job!
Going to nag Marie right now!
        Marie!!
        LIVE STREAMING IN VEGAS!! PUL_EEEEZE!!!

      2. If it were a different date I might be able to swing it, but as it is there is NO WAY
kiddo. I will have to suffer–but not in silence!

    1. Thank you for this post. I’m going to try to get tickets for the Friday night event. Anyone else in D.C. area interested in this event?

  8. Wow, thanks for the great post!
I imagine they’re going to be back in the US soon for some HEAVY promo and I would assume that they’ll take the opportunity and target the local latino communities even MORE now via radio, Telemundo affiliates, etc. because their spanish has improved SO much since they started! This should help with ticket sales especially in Texas and San Jose 🙂

By the way, I was on an old post from last year regarding Sábado Gigante and saw a few comments posted about not understanding what was being said. If you’d like translation from Spanish for anything, I’d be happy to do it 🙂

    1. October 8 Il Volo will sing in Latin American Music Awards. The program will be broadcast on Telemundo, and it will be streaming. 🙂

  9. I bought my tickets to the Austin concert! My first live one! snif, snif, snif! I didn’t know they could cancel a concert!!! Something else to add to my worries… though last time I saw, all the orchestra area was almost sold out.

    1. I wrote the answer to previous page. The song you can buy on Amazon or ITunes and will be on new CD, which be released on September 25.

    2. Loretta,
I have problem, when I sent mail to you, always came to me message: undelivered Mail Returned to Sender.I’m sorry to have to inform you that your message could not
be delivered to one or more recipients. It’s attached below.
I do not know what to do

    3. Loretta, the song is on the CD that will be released on September 18. It is on pre-order on Amazon.com.

  10. Marie did you get the emails I sent you I sent you one earlier today, I am told someone isn’t get my emails. I just got back from a trip so wasn’t home yesterday. I answered your email hope you got it. I don’t know if my emails are being received

    1. Loretta, Sorry I have been out all day.

Yes, I have been getting your emails and you are answering mine. I also get Lydka’s. I did not see your email address you sent Lydka earlier. Here is what I have for you: iluvilvolo@rogers.com
I hope that is what you are trying Lydka.

I felt ok publishing it since you did earlier.

  11. No problem that is what I gave her anyway I hope I have ordered all the DVD & CD’s including the new song which is fantastic I love it so much, so much to think about & keep up with, busy busy

  12. I can’t get enough of their songs & voices & each new song is better than the last that is how excellent they are. I heard Ignazio when rehearsing doing the scales & his voice is getting better & better everytime I hear him sing. That’s also including Gianluca & Piero. Each has their specialty & Gianluca is the best crooner of the 21st century so we have 3 singers that no one can beat for the 21st century

  13. I love these old theaters so much — especially the Art Deco ones. I know it sounds blasphemous, but I probably enjoy being in them just as much as the show. They have a similar theater near where I live that’s sadly becoming run down.

I’m glad I finally have an excuse to see the Kennedy Center now. I remember the visits to D.C. when I was younger and being so fascinated by it.

  14. The Majestic Theater in San Antonio is magnificent! It’s like a fairy tale place. I just hope when I see them I won’t make a complete fool of myself! I tend to get tongue tied and/or mute in the presence of greatness! I have heard nothing about a meet and greet in S.A! Waiting impatiently in Texas!….Dot…..
