It was a memorable event. What about, Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero, so close to Pope Francis, in such an important event, followed by about 600 thousand young people present and millions of people on television?
It was very emotional and I think the guys have felt the weight of this great emotion on their shoulders and also of this great honor.
They were emotional, as we were, who followed them from afar. . . very touching and emotional.

Seeing them again causes shivering in me.
Of course they could not be presented to the world, the event was the World Youth Day, not IL VOLO, but they were there, present before the Pope, emotion to the stars!
Surely this experience will always remain in their hearts.
From that position they could see a tide of young people, united by moments of prayer and truly unique contemplation, the silence was impressive.

I am very happy that you all have also been able to enjoy the event live. By testing we saw that the TV2000 streaming channel was often stuck and so Pat did a search and saw that the EWTN channel was better for you.

Presenter = Yesterday at the vigil IL VOLO also sang, let’s see how this performance went.
P = Some time ago we had met Pope Francis in a private audience and we gave him, an AVE MARIA, a special record, just for him.
I = Surely it was a great experience of life, both for our personal lives, and also for our career.
P = This was the perfect opportunity to understand how beautiful and important it can be, to share all kinds of music.
G = We can say that it was one of the most beautiful experiences of our lives.
It all passed very quickly, but it was an indescribable moment.
The boys were very serious, as it should be on these occasions.
They are never out of place, always appropriate to the event.
I was very proud that IL VOLO had this wonderful opportunity, it was an honor, and they certainly did not waste it.
These are the words of the boys, “If someone had told us that one day we would sing for the Pope, we would hardly have believed it . . . . Never stop chasing your dreams.”

I listened to the boys on live stream! It was almost as if I was there as the picture & sound was superb! They were so respective of the importance of the event. They are such classy young men. They sounded out of this world! Their voices soared throughout the crowd with such clarity. Just absolutely beautiful….Love them.

Daniela thanks again for keeping us closer to the boys. By your translations I feel I am there during some of the events. This old lady is not to smart with anything technical on the computer but after search I found both EWTN and Vatican Media and got to see the boys sing.

Such an accomplishment after their ten years of hard work and superb representation of their country, Italy .All of Italy should be so proud to have such ambassadors. Their voices came across so clearly and one could see the emotion they felt on such an occasion. Once again they excelled in every way !!.
Marion, I share your thoughts, all of Italy should be proud of these guys …. I am very proud and a lot of people are with them, it remains the stumbling block of the press.
It is jealousy and envy. Some people hate it when others succeed and only want to bring them down. However, the boys will win the press over in the end !!

I can ‘t even imagine how it must have felt for the guys to sing in such a setting and for those in attendance to hear such a song of beauty sung by the powerful, masterful voices of Gianluca, Pier o and Ignazio. Ave Maria, Mater Misericordiae is a beautiful song and it was a perfect setting for Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca to sing it as Pope Francis was praying to our Blessed Mother. This really was another one of their dreams come true!
Margaret, do you know what moved me, besides seeing our boys and the Pope? Feeling the almost complete silence of that immense crowd of boys. It is not true that youth can only scream and do damage, young people can also gather in silence and pray.

Jill, not much has been leaked about the gift. I go to my interpretation, from what I could see is a chain with a medal depicting the Holy Spirit, I believe it is in silver, because it is known that Pope Francis has refused the necklace and the gold piscatory ring, preferring to be in silver.
I am so very proud of IL VOLO.. I have long wished ever since I first heard this particular Marian hymn,that they would have the opportunity to sing for Pope Francis. It was a very special day.

Yes, indeed, our young men were very respectful. They exuded reverence.
It says a lot about their breeding, and their inner pose.
And Pope Francis and our guys – the rapport they have with each other, it is heartwaraming. And we are somehow included, and what a blessing for us too that is.
