I’ve been getting a lot of questions on this from our US and Canadian fans. This is what I know….
Detroit PBS will NOTbe live streaming their concert. There will be a “special pledge event” that is scheduled for 11:00pm EST in Detroit on June 5, and again on Sunday. I am sure this will be their hurried cut take of the concert. Unfortunately, I don’t believe anyone else in the country will be able to view it.
I’ve been told by a few folks that have called their local PBS stations regarding this concert that you will need to call your local PBS station and request that they buy this special event program from Detroit PBS.
Others have also said that their station has told them there may be a pledge event some time in December, where you may be able to see it in your area.
Personally, I’m hoping it will again appear on Amazon at some point. Their last Matera concert was available with both CD/DVD for around $25 or so on Amazon until recently and I directed a few folks to its purchase, earlier this year.
I’ve read the scheduled time is about 9:15p Italy time, so whatever that translates for everyone…. Italy is 6 hours ahead of Detroit time…. so we plan on tuning in no later than about 3p…..
So, folks – this is it – what we’ve been waiting for, for a long time! I’m planning a little party with some of the Il Volo girls here on Saturday to watch the concert. 🙂
Congratulations to those that will be able to be there in person – Daniela, Deborah, and many others! I’m sure they will convey the spirit of all of the Ilvololovers and Flight Crew Fans, from all over the globe! I told them to wave – we will be watching! 🙂

Thank you for letting us know. Here is Chicago, we sadly won’t be able to see it. I am hoping down the road I will. I can order the Rai 1 station but at this time I can’t afford it. I’m expecting when the US concert dates are available, my local PBS will use this concert for their pledge drive and also to offer concert tickets. That is what has happened before withe Taormina and Florence shows. All those with tickets to Verona, carry my heart with you. Cannot wait for this CD to become available. Warm greetings to all!!
I’m worried that the RAI streaming link may say it is only for Italy. That would be so disappointing! In Nashville we cannot order the cable RAI channels at any price.. Jana, thanks for the information!

Jana, I am so very grateful for your updated info regarding the IL VOLO
June 5, 2021 Tribute Concert in Verona, Italy, for the magnificent conductor/composer Maestro Ennio Marricone. Like you and everyone not able to attend, we can only close our eyes and imagine how thrilling it will be. Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio never disappoint. Their voices mesmerize us.
I am very disappointed that PBS will not carry this concert live, and I called my local PBS station to voice my opinion. Perhaps if all of us (IL VOLO fans) let them know that we hope the PBS corporate office will consider our request for future IL VOLO special concerts.
Ennio Morricone was very well known here in America as one of the most prolific film composers known for popular American cinema and TV such as “Once Upon A Time in The West,” and so many more.
IL VOLO will definitely be very emotional performing at this special tribute to a conductor they hold dear to their hearts. I expect many tears to flow.
So, have a great party on June 5th. We will be thinking of Daniela enjoying the concert at the Arena in Verona.
*****A question–does anyone know when and/or where we will be able to purchase “Your Love” by IL VOLO, or do we have to wait for a new CD to go on sale?*****
I tried to tune in to RAI on my computer, to watch them sing the anthem. A message came on saying only those in Italy could watch. I was so disappointed. I probably won’t get to see this one either.

I wish I could give a hug to all the boys especially Ignazio when they perform in Verona on June 5th at the Concert Tribute to Ennio Morricone. I know that Ignazio will try to stop his tears from flowing when they sing “Your Love,” thinking about his Father and missing him. This song means so much to me as I lost my husband and I wish he could return even for one moment.
My heart will be in Verona. I would give anything to be there. I am still going to watch it if I can get it on line or TV in New York.
Thanks so much for the update. I might try to get on RAI 1 from your link tomorrow. It’s so frustrating for us Americans. We love Il Volo so much, and we have to wait now until someone else decides for us. I have the Matera DVD. It is wonderful. If I have to, I will wait for Amazon to pick up the rights to sell the DVD and CD. But I’d rather see them live. Maybe someone will video it and put it up on YouTube. Hint, hint. 🙂
The trouble (for me) with the PBS DVDs is that the edit the concert so much that it becomes a visual CD.
All the talking and kidding around is taken out. It is not a true picture of the concert. They even edit out most of the audience reaction! The only PBS DVD that’s good is the first one from Detroit, they didn’t edit that one very much, if at all. I want to see the concert, not the PBS version.
How many of us would love to be 21 again (and able to meet/greet our boys)?? I’d even give up 68 years to be that age again!! Now I could be their grandmother, but I’ll take even that!

We know they’ve been working on it for a long time already. But recall the last few cds were delayed as well. I guess we will all just be surprised!

Thanks, Jana! Your note cleared up a lot of questions. Will try and follow it on Rai 1 and hope I’m successful. If not, will just have to wait.
Am following up about my call to PBS. They listened to my request. Most likely they will show the June 5th Verona concert at the end of 2021.
In the meantime, I do not know wher I can buy a recording of “Your Love.” Guess it will be on a future IL VOLO CD.

Listening to IL VOLO at 11pm in my home in New York. Oh to be 21 again, living in Italy and going to IL VOLO concerts every night. A dream……
