IL VOLO TOUR 2022: PHOENIX and LOS ANGELES by Daniela

And slowly, slowly, the end of the American tour came. The last two concerts and then Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca will go to Australia, other concerts, other places that await them.

October 13: PHOENIX

Very few videos, I think the people present were more oriented to listen to the boys and enjoy every minute, not to be distracted by the videos to be recorded.
But what we do know is that it was, as always, a great concert.

. . . with Ignazio going down to the audience and choosing Donalee, one of the admin of IL VOLO AMERICAN FAN GROUP, fantastic !! 😘

And we came to the last concert in the U.S.

October 15: LOS ANGELES

The last concert was to be epic, and it didn’t disappoint!
Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero gave their all and the audience was fantastic, how much skill, how much love, in the beautiful Dolby Theater, there were no artists on stage and audience in the hall, but a single entity of friendly people, people who show their great talent and other people who with great love, appreciate, no separation between them, just lots of love.
Here is a video that summarizes much of the concert.

IF I CAN DREAM

But there also had to be two special events, made with two special guests.
One was Scott Joying of Pentatonix, with whom they sang a fantastic …..

HALLELUJAH

It was really a very emotional performance, shivering on the skin, all four of them fantastic.
RoseMarie, dear friend, I see you in the front row, standing applauding, together with Joanie, and Judith, how much emotion, what perfection!
Scott was very happy with the performance, and the skill of Il Volo, in fact he posted these wonderful comments!
The second guest is an American singer, Isabela Mercede, who sings in Spanish, is very young and good, with her the duet, accompanied only by the piano played by Maestro Grani:

HISTORIA DE UN AMOR

Isabela was also very satisfied with the duet and published these words:
“It was an honor to be able to sing such a classic song like ‘Historia de Un Amor’ in such a special place with Il Volo.”

Very beautiful too, the words and the video published by the violinist Lisa Dondlinger:
I have been performing with Il Volo since they first appeared on American Idol and The Tonight Show in 2011. It has been an incredible journey to watch them grow up and mature as artists. It was a joy to be reunited with them for their latest performance in Los Angeles.

But, like all good things, the North America tour is also over, and so greetings from Gianluca.
Barbara also announces the end of the tour.

And greetings and thanks to everyone from Il Volo.
Unfortunately it is over. 😪
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca flew to Australia to continue their tour.
But their stay on American soil has certainly left a trail of rediscovered love, after almost three years of silence.
Everything went well, the three of them showed their skills, but also the great love for this nation and its people.
You will no longer be able to see them closely, but we will follow any news of the three of them.
See you very soon:
Daniela 🤗

Our hearts are filled with love.
We went back to the United States and brought our music to our American fans. You’ve followed us all over the country and we’ve had incredible moments together.
Thanks to each of you who have lived even just a small part of our journey.
Tomorrow a new adventure will begin: Australia, are you ready?

  1. Thank you pitterpat and Susan Bartolli and the great Flight Crew for your great coverage!!! Heartwarming, inspiring snd always fun!🤗❤️

  2. Thanks to dear Daniela and Pat for another super job. I’m glad you found us in the audience, we were very fortunate to be front row center. Only disadvantage was I had a sore neck for a couple of days bc I had the same seats in Phoenix 😊. At the Hotel in Phoenix there were many sightings of the guys and I had a couple of one to one quick conversations with Piero, such a nice young man and he remembered my name. What a thrill. Gianluca missing his Eleonora, he was on his phone a lot. Ignazio full of energy, zipping through the lobby and restaurant was a sight to see. Piero said he was tired bc he forgot the time difference between Florida and Phoenix. Well, we are all waiting for the next tour already, hopefully the wait won’t be as long as the last one. I feel blessed to have been able to see them and so many of you this time. Ciao. P.S. Hallelujah was spine tingling.

    1. You’re most welcome, Rose Marie! I’m so glad you got to see the guys so much. It must have been fabulous! 😀

  3. Hi Daniela
Did you see the YouTube video that was recorded during the Melbourne Australia concert? It was during the song Surrender and ran for 29 seconds. Ignazio was at his finest when it comes to comedy. I have watched it many times, and I laugh each time I play it. He didn’t share the piano with Gianpiero Grani , he took over the whole piano stool, and piano!

    😘

    1. Hi Jill, I saw the video you are talking about and inserted it in the next post, the one of the Australian concerts.
Our Ignazio is truly unique !!

  4. Thank you Daniela and Pat for all the great videos and pictures from all of the different venues. You did a great job of taking us to each one. It was fun to see them all. We will have them to watch over and over. They were all fantastic and the guys were wonderful. Thank you again for doing this for us.

    1. Thanks Cathy, our effort is to get you the news of our favorites, in particular to those who have no connection with facebook, and your compliments make us understand that we have succeeded in our intent.

  5. Thank you for sharing. I hope the boys enjoyed being here in Cleveland for one of their U.S.A. concerts

    1. Eleanor, I think it’s understood that they love the U.S. and Cleveland is one of these places where they know they are loved by so many people.

  6. After bringing so many beautiful moments to fans I wish the guys a restful and happy holiday season. And are the dolls available to buy? I want all three❤️❤️❤️

    1. Ruth, they actually said that as soon as they get back to Italy they only rest a week and then they have to work on Christmas projects.
Yeah, those dolls are available for purchase, I think Pat ordered them too.

    2. Yes Ruth, you can order them. I ordered mine a week ago. If you go to Instagram and search for toddspopshop you will find Todd Herzog’s site. There are photos of all kinds of these “pops” (short for funko pops). If you email him at Toddspopshop@gmail.com he will take your order and answer all your questions. He is very responsive and helpful. He said he can make them wearing any outfit. I thought about the guys white suits but decided I wanted them to look exactly like the ones that were were given to the guys.

    1. Laura, how nice, you were there in Phoenix.
I am happy that you liked it and that you found the boys even better.
Why don’t you write us some thoughts about what you saw and so we publish your videos too? I just saw them, damn you were in a good line !!

  7. Grazie mille, Daniela–another great post with super photos and videos. That Dolby Theater is immense–and it sure looked sold-out! What a thrill for the guys. I really loved the LA composite video–especially with Ignazio movin’ and groovin’ with Surrender/Sorrento. Wow!

    1. Judi, Ignazio is a force of nature !! But I would say that all three are great, not only do they have great voices, but they are genuine in their way of being.

  8. Daniela and Pat, Thank you both for your joint
efforts in bringing us all the spectacular highlights
of the US tour. I saw the Phoenix concert and I witnessed
their growth and maturity as artists and performers.
As a group, superb harmony. As solo performers and
in duets, they have reached new levels. Piero’s
voice has matured and the audience was in awe.
Gianluca’s If I can Dream was an emotional ride
with a physicality that showed a confidence in
movement. As a soloist and in the duets, Ignazio
shines. But as the “Ringleader of Merriment”
he is an original. The contrast from 2 years ago
allowed the time to grow and mature as men.
They gave their devoted audience their best and
we are all in awe. We are here for them for
    years to come.
    Grateful,

    1. Martha, you wrote some great things and I’m so glad you went to the Phoenix concert.
I think that for Ignazio, Piero and Gianluca they had a nice re-confirmation from the American audience, performing after so long and with Covid, not completely eliminated, was a big risk, but the response they had from the audience and the love they felt around them paid them back for every effort. They will be back soon !!

  9. Thank you for all the Nice videos and articles Daniela and Pat
thanks to you and all your great job we can always keep in touch with the 3 Fantastic

Daniela I need your help / hint I ll be in Milan for my first concert december 17th do you know how can I get to go to the sound check do you thing there is one? And do the guys do meet and greet after the concert in Italy and how it works? 🙏 thank you🌸💕

    1. Alessandra, if you are registered in the official Il Volo fanclub, they will notify you if there is a sound check and what time it is, you will have to print your entry permit, always through the fanclub, it is a very simple procedure. They usually advise a few days in advance for the sound check and sometimes the same day for the time. For the Meet & Greet, they often also notify via the facebook page.

      1. Ecco !!! I got it now thanks sooo much Daniela you are à darling
        I keep you posted
Will you be in Milan décembre 17th??

      2. So you understand, Alessandra, if you are registered in the official fanclub, keep an eye on the page from early December, there will be the announcements of the sound-check and M&G times.
No, I won’t be in Milan on the 17th, I’m sorry.

  10. I noticed there are concerts in Italy in December. Are you going to cover them for us? Since I probably will never get to Italy at my age you will be my only source. I was lucky enough to see them live in Boston but there is never enough of Il Volo. I am hoping you will do what you did for the American Tour.

    1. Susan, you can be sure that our Daniela will be reporting about all the concerts in Italy as she has done in the past. What would we do without her? 🤗

    2. Surely Susan, I will follow Il Volo for you, even if I will not attend their concerts, but I will keep you informed, as I did for the North American Tour, Italy, Japan, Europe and now Australia !!

  11. Grazie Mille Daniela and Pat for the wonderful words about our guys and the videos. It really is wonderful to be able to see and hear Gian, Piero and Igna when we are not able to see all the shows and are not on social media. It helps to relive the one I saw in NYC and swoon all over again. They are always amazing, sweet, kind and more than great entertainment….such great gifts they are, how blessed we all are to have them in our lives.
I always look forward to your postings and Susan’s and Jana’s ( where is Jana, we haven’t heard from her lately). Thank you, thank you all for the gifts you give us every week.
    IL VOLO FOREVER!!🥰🥰🥰🙏❤️❤️❤️🎤🎼 Carol

    1. You’re very welcome, Carol! Jana is still here! 😊 She recently posted about the Hurricane Ian benefit that the guys participated in at their Sunrise concert.

    2. Thanks Carol, it is always gratifying to see that our efforts are well received. Our goal is that the news of IL Volo always reach you and bring you a smile !!

      1. And thankfully we can count on this weekly news you so generously and unfailingly bring to us. It’s very unique!

  12. We love you in the USA. Your music transends continents.
We will follow you and support you no matter where you go!

  13. Grazie Daniela for all you suggestions and help
Duchesse a Pity we can’t meet in Milan
    All the best
