Consider that Italian journalists had described them from the beginning as obnoxious and arrogant, nothing could be further from the truth. They certainly never forget their fans who always thank them, but also their manager who in an interview said that the gratitude he always receives from these guys and their families is a very rare thing in the entertainment world.

In a previous post you indicated that if a couple wishes to marry they must file paperwork 30 days prior to the wedding date? and they must declare banns for a religious ceremony. It’s true our boys have grown up, and that’s why I often refer to them as “young men.” I must say that, when they are not joking, they know how to be very wise and demonstrate a maturity that is not so obvious in the artistic field. They are men who had to take on responsibilities early on but with the great support of the families who provided essential foundations and of their manager, they have always been “down to earth”.
As regards marriage, once the documents have been requested in the municipality to which they belong, there are publications that must remain for at least 15 days, so that all citizens can be informed and object if anyone has valid reasons why the marriage does not take place. . Then you can proceed to the ceremony. The process for religious marriage is longer and I believe that Ignazio and Michelle will choose that.

You will never understand the feeling I get when you translate to us some of Il Volo’s interviews. I’ve learnt some Italian but they speak to fast for me to understand them. You do a wonderful job for all of us who listen to these interviews but we don’t understand to many words. Pain, it took me a week to translate everything and I still have a sore neck from staying at the PC, but it was worth it. Then I passed everything to Pat who has to check and point out to me if there are things that literally translated to you don’t make sense, then he has to put up the photos, color everything, in short, a team effort between me and Pat, but also fun.

Now I’ll explain to you what happened that made Gianluca laugh at the beginning of Il Mondo!! I still laugh thinking about the whole scene, of course it’s always Ignazio’s fault!!
Now I’ll explain:
Ignazio and Piero are not in frame, but while Gianluca prepares to start singing the two of them drink water from bottles (they are not in frame) and Ignazio hands the bottle to Gianluca who at that moment begins the song by saying “NO”… …and Ignazio spreads his arms as if to say….I’m sorry, all three of them start laughing, if you look carefully, Gianluca tries to stay serious, Ignazio behind him turns his back because he’s laughing and Piero who has to start his phrase of the song, with the
he pulls his hand over his mouth to be serious, but I think Ignazio says to him “are you thirsty?” so Piero has to start singing….”Oh World”… he can’t because he starts laughing, so Gianluca makes the audience sing!!

I thoroughly enjoyed watching them being so relaxed with all guards down willingly answering all questions in details – and at the same time having a ball joking and poking each other. And what a sense of humor. Time flies in their good company. So – once again dear “Team Dan-Pat” (aka Daniela and Pat) for the huge work you have put into this post enabling us non-Italian speaking fans to fully enjoy this lengthy interview and show. And in a couple of weeks we shall finally hear the songs from their new CD. I must admit that The more they speak of it the more anxious I get… it seems like there is a lot more to it than “just” 11 new original songs. Almost as if it was a row of pearls on a string binding together a message to us/the listeners – a statement of some kind. Everything around the album is somewhat mysterious and out in space… The first few bars of the intro sounds like a film score rather than pop. It has me worried a bit while at the same time I am so excited to hear the tunes. I want badly to love the songs – and so far they have never disappointed – so why not this time. Their voices are beautiful no matter what they sing. I bet though that the guys are even more nervous about our reception of the album and Il Volo Version 2.0.

Carol, it’s funny you should mention a CD player. I have one in my car and I just burned a new IL VOLO CD today for me to play tonight on my 40 min trip to my hometown for a garden club meeting! IL VOLO goes everywhere with me! 😁 I save videos and use the software I purchased some time ago to capture the audio and then burn the MP3 files to a CD! Or, when I buy a new IL VOLO CD I copy it to a regular CD so I don’t wear out the original! 😀 There is a method to my madness! 😉

It’s true Jude, Katia also played an important role in this interview, absolutely putting the guys at ease. How funny when Ignazio asked if they could sing and she replied:
“Not yet, I’ll decide when,” she was in on the joke and laughed with them and their joking responses, but also really appreciated their serious responses!
The kids know how to be very grateful and Torpedine and Barbara are always in their words, I confirm they are thoughtful and polite young people.
How many of us would like to stretch out our hands and hug them, however I happened to participate in a similar event at Radio Italia and even if the environment there was larger with a small stage, it is extremely nice to be able to enjoy them so close.
