The summer Italian tour, which began in Caracalla, continues through several beautiful Italian locations.
June 30 CATTOLICA
Cattolica is a beautiful town located in Emilia Romagna, and overlooks the Adriatic Sea, a destination for many summer tourists.
The concert included both the new songs from “Ad Astra” and their “workhorses”.

Last night’s concert was wonderful!!! Those 2 hours flew by and I sang at the top of my lungs, I laughed, I was moved, I screamed and I felt indescribable emotions!!!
My mom and I were in the second row and we saw them very well!!! Then before the concert my parents and I arrived as rehearsals were starting, we listened to them outside the Arena and I liked them very much!!! What about the 3 of them? Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero were beautiful, very elegant and full of energy!!! They give me so much without knowing it, they make me feel good and make me happy with their songs!!! I am very happy that they have returned for the second time to Cattolica, a seaside city that I have loved since I was one year old!!! PUPPIES I LOVE YOU!!!
And this was written by PULP CONCERTI.
Il Volo, what a Masterpiece! 🎼🎤
An evening full of emotions and great music that inaugurated the 2024 season of concerts at the Cattolica Arena. ❤️
Two hours of passionate and moving repertoire with tributes to great singer-songwriters such as Battiato, Cohen and Sinatra.
Having successfully archived the concert in Emilia Romagna, Il Volo will go to Veneto where it will perform two concerts: Marostica and Venice.
The governor of Veneto: Luca Zaia published these beautiful words:
🗣️🎤🎶 This weekend will be a “Masterpiece” with the double concert of Il Volo in Veneto!
The opera trio, which this year celebrates 15 years of career, will enchant two of the most beautiful squares in our region: Piazza degli Scacchi in Marostica this evening and Piazza San Marco in Venice tomorrow evening.
WELCOME TO VENETO GIANLUCA, IGNAZIO AND PIERO‼
July 3 MAROSTICA
3 July, the concert is in Marostica in the beautiful Piazza degli Scacchi (where the chess game is played with real people).
Unfortunately the weather was not favourable, it was cloudy all day and it rained in the evening, the Il Volo concert opened the concert season in Marostica.
But despite the weather it was a success. I immediately propose this article from THE FRONT ROW:

IL VOLO: SOLD OUT FOR THE FIRST EVENING OF THE MAROSTICA SUMMER FESTIVAL
The first evening of the Marostica Summer Festival featured the famous trio Il Volo, who gave the public an unforgettable musical experience despite the adverse weather conditions. With a sold out which confirmed their popularity, the three young tenors demonstrated once again their talent and their ability to enchant audiences of all ages.
Despite the pouring rain that accompanied the evening, the audience of the Marostica Summer Festival did not let itself be discouraged, filling every corner of the suggestive Piazza Castello to watch the trio’s performance. Il Volo was able to transform a meteorologically unfavorable evening into a memorable event, performing with great energy and passion.
Il Volo, composed of Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble, began its journey in 2009, when the three met while participating in the talent show “Ti lascio una canzone”. Since then, their career has been a crescendo of successes that has led them to tread the most prestigious stages in the world.
In 2010, Il Volo released their first album of the same name, which quickly climbed the international charts, achieving great success in Italy and abroad. Their unique style, which blends Italian opera tradition with pop, has won over a large audience, making them ambassadors of Italian music in the world.
Throughout their career, Il Volo has collected numerous awards and recognitions, testimony to their talent and dedication to music. Among the most important awards, the victory at the Sanremo Festival in 2015 with the song “Grande Amore” stands out, which marked a turning point in their career, leading them to represent Italy at the Eurovision Song Contest of the same year, where they placed third.
Their album “Grande Amore” went platinum in Italy and consolidated their international fame. The trio has also received numerous other awards, including Latin Pop Albums Artist of the Year at the Billboard Latin Music Awards and Special Lifetime Achievement Award at the Wind Music Awards.
The concert setlist included some of their most famous songs, alternating with pieces from their latest album. The perfect harmony of their voices, combined with their stage presence and ability to interact with the audience, created a magical atmosphere that warmed the hearts of those present.
The trio once again demonstrated their professionalism, adapting to the difficult climatic conditions and maintaining a high level of performance. The audience, for its part, responded with enthusiasm, applauding and singing along with the three tenors, in an engaging exchange of emotions.
The success of Il Volo at the Marostica Summer Festival is yet another confirmation of their ability to unite different generations through music.
Their modern interpretation of the opera tradition continues to win fans around the world, making them one of the most loved and respected Italian groups internationally.
The first evening of the Marostica Summer Festival was a triumph of talent and passion, thanks to the extraordinary performance of the Il Volo trio. Despite the rain, the audience was able to live a unique experience, confirming once again that quality music can overcome any obstacle.
And here are some videos in a nice summary of the evening made by Due Punti Events.
Despite the rain, Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca joined the audience during HERE’S TO YOU.

WITH “IL VOLO” THE MAROSTICA SUMMER FEST TAKES OFF
Thank you emotions last night in Marostica thanks to the performance of “Il Volo”, in a Piazza degli Scacchi seething with enthusiasm despite the rain.
VOICE= The rain does not slow down the take-off of the Marostica Summer Festival Volksbank. Il Volo immediately sold out at the fourth stop in Piazza degli Scacchi where it debuted in 2014.
GIANLUCA= Thanks for still being here after 10 years. (cheers)
IGNAZIO= Especially on these summer evenings, arid, not very humid. (laughter)
PIERO= However, I have to tell you, the water I see in Veneto, nowhere. (laughter – he means that the rain he sees in Veneto, he doesn’t see anywhere, remembering that even the concert in the Arena one year ago, Verona is also in Veneto)
VOICE= Under ponchos and cloaks, 4,000 applaud Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble, standard bearers of pop-lyrical music that conquers international audiences.
The 10 years of the Festival coincide with the 15 years of career that the trio celebrates with the TUTTI PER UNO – CAPOLAVORO tour, from the title of the song taken to Sanremo.
New projects but also a return to their origins in the square that saw them take flight.
July 4 VENICE

The first concert in San Marco of the summer: the music stands out IL VOLO.
In Piazza San Marco, in Venice, two hours of music performed in the ‘classical bel canto’ style by Il Volo: an unforgettable evening.
The first concert in San Marco of the summer could not have had a better start. Pietro Barone, Ignazio Boschetto and Gianluca Ginoble, aka Il Volo, won over the 6 thousand spectators (including coffee) with their fantastic voices used as perfect instruments (video below). It was an exciting evening as hasn’t happened in Venice for a long time.
A finally clear sky, a summer but cool evening, the splendid monumental setting of the most beautiful square in the world, were the setting for a special evening. On stage the musical group that has been enchanting the audience for 15 years with their harmonies and a classical repertoire that winks at the modern one loved by all.
The notes of opera arias by Puccini and Verdi, of songs by the legendary Ennio Morricone, of traditional Italian and international songs resonated in the San Marco wedding favor with great elegance. But all tastes will have been satisfied having ranged from A Love So Big to Nessun Dorma, from Caruso to At least you in the Universe, through the famous music of Gladiator, up to Hallelujah. And at the center of the program are their great successes: “Grande Amore”, and “Capolavoro” , which is already a Gold Record.
“Good evening Venice, for us it is a great emotion to be here to celebrate our 15 years of career together”. But the audience felt the emotion (and some shivers) of being able to hear those instruments with perfect intonation.
TGR Veneto also talked about the concert.

All the “women” of Il Volo were present at the concert:
(from left) Eleonora Ginoble, (not very visible, she is turned away), follows Caterina Boschetto, Eleonora Barone, Nina Boschetto and Michelle Bertolini.
In the short video, during Here’s to You, Piero goes to kiss his mother, that day was Eleonora Barone’s birthday. 🎉🍾🥂🎂
Maestro Grani also published this photo with these words:
“I think back to the concert in Piazza San Marco, and I still feel a very intense emotion. I think it’s the most beautiful place I’ve ever played. And I think I’m very lucky. Thank you.”
But that’s not all, because the next day POOH performed in the same square, which you will surely remember well. POOH were guests of Il Volo last year in the Arena and Il Volo was their guest at the stadium.
Well POOH asked Il Volo to be their guests during the concert in Venice, they will sing two songs: PIERRE and UOMINI SOLI with them and the concert will be presented by Michelle Hunziker.
CLICK HERE to view another POOH video
This concludes the adventure in Venice, now off to Val d’Aosta!!
It was certainly a spectacular concert which would certainly have been nice to attend, both to be able to applaud our golden boys again and again, but also for the beautiful location.
I watched the whole concert via web cam in the square, but of course there was no audio, but from the movements of our boys I could imagine their songs.
Outside the barriers of the square, many people had gathered to be able to listen in the distance and they always remained there until the end of the concert.
I read that the various “cafés” that have tables in the square asked for 120 euros to sit at a table where it was not possible to see the concert due to the barriers, but they could hear.
At the same time as me, Pat from Missouri and Kirsten from Denmark were also watching the webcam and exchanging impressions with me and once again we thought how much Il Volo and their music can unite and weave invisible threads from one extreme to the other.
In short, this time too everything went well, a great success, and a lot of satisfaction for our boys who are receiving wonderful reviews and a lot of warmth from the public.
Daniela 🤗
Credit to owners of all photos and videos.

Hello Daniela and Pat. First – thanks a million for a great and funny evening watching the Venice concert together – albeit soundless – by means of the official web cam at Piazza San Marco. That was an awesome experience which brought lots of laughter about and a fun time trying to guess what songs the guys were singing as the web cam provided no sound at all. Ha ha. 😜We have come to know the guys so well that just by studying their antics and moves we could not only guess who was singing (did help Gianluca wearing a white shirt that eve though) – but arms and mikes pointing towards the audience indicated “Capolavoro”, the guys sitting close at chairs while the audience was swaying lit mobiles indicated “Hallelujah” while mingling with the audience of course had to be “Here’s to you” and so forth. What great fun, so ladies thanks so much for your good company and for sharing this experience with me. And this is yet a clear example of the fact that IL VOLO creates international understanding across borders. Italy – USA – Denmark untied by a web cam 😜👍❤️
I didn’t know that yet a concert was scheduled at San Marco the following day – and that featuring “Pooh”, who once again invited the guys to join them for a song. What a nice gesture – and to the mutual advantage to both groups no doubt.
Oh what a pleasure it is to read the posted articles with so many praising words of the guys and their recent concerts. Finally, finally acknowledged for their hard work to present the finest Italian quality music and singing both nationally and worldwide. So much deserved!
Thanks Daniela and Pat for yet a great article and warmest regards – Kirsten in 🇩🇰
You’re most welcome, Kirsten! 😊
Kirsten, for us who couldn’t be there, it was nice to share distant but still joyful images even if silent, and guess what they were performing.
There were 4 evenings of concerts in Venice, the first concert was Il Volo, then two evenings with Pooh and finally the last evening with Umberto Tozzi who you saw in the Arena, his songs made us Italians get up and sing. Nobody knew that the following day, in POOH’s first concert, Il Volo would also sing, it became known after the afternoon rehearsals. That concert was recorded by Canale 5 and will then be broadcast on TV, so we will also see Il Volo again.
I must say that reading those beautiful Italian articles referring to Il Volo makes me very happy too, because they are deserved and finally many journalists are starting to admit it.
Thank you once again for a fantastic article on our boys and their concerts! San Marco is indeed ThE MOST beautiful and elegant venue for our three! Thank goodness the weather didn’t rain there! All the places they performed in sound so lovely….more places to visit. I’m loving the press releases doing them justice!
I guess you have a very busy summer ahead with all they have planned, I hope there’s also time for you to enjoy a vacation and maybe a concert or two!
Many thanks to you, Daniela and to Pat for all you give us!
Much love and affection, Carol 💖💖💖🩷🩷🤗😘🎵🎤🎶🎼🙏🏻☮️
You’re welcome, Carol! 😊
Carol, I admit that Piazza San Marco is one of the most beautiful places to have a concert. I believe that this year, between Arena, Caracalla, San Marco and Pompeii, there are truly the most evocative and impressive Italian places and it seems that we can also add The Valley of the Temples of Agrigento, exactly in front of the Temple of Concordia, magnificent, but everything is still being decided.
Thank you Carol for the nice compliments.
Thank you so much for all your posts, translations and wonderful comments! I came across Il Volo by accident three months ago and they immediately became a matter of my heart. Their singing and presentation is something wonderful, an amazing fusion of my favorite genres of music into one absolutely perfect harmonic package. And the personalities of the three guys, their charisma, humanity and warm expressions are definitely an added bonus! Of course, from the first moment I tried to find out as much as possible about them, which is not so difficult in today’s world of the Internet.
Discovering these sites was like a huge lottery win for me! So much amazing information, photos, videos, comments… and all in one place. A huge thanks to everyone who runs this site! It took me about two weeks to read all (really all!) articles and comments 🙂
My big handicap is that I don’t know English or Italian, so google translator is my faithful friend. But even he can’t do everything. That’s why I greatly appreciate the work you put into translating videos and concerts. It’s fantastic that I can play the recording of the concert and your translation right next to it, so I know what’s happening on stage and what makes everyone involved laugh so much. Thanks to this, watching concerts from Verona is a completely different experience for me. And yes, I already have tickets for their concert in Prague! And I will definitely register for a sound check.
Your site was also the first where I came across the information that the guys had published two books. Immediately I decided that I had to have them. It’s one thing the scraps of information guys drop about themselves in casual conversation. But I was interested in a deeper look into their soul. The only problem was the Italian language, but I hoped that would be solvable. I will buy an e-book and a friend will google translate. Hahaha…
Well, I’ll summarize about a week’s anabasis very briefly: she needed a file in the form of a “pdf”. I had to buy books a total of 5 times, from different publishers, before I got to something that I was able to convert (and no, the Kindle really can’t, at least for me). It cost me nerves, a lot of coffee and also the need to block my card and get a new one. And my kids hate the word convert… But now I’ve read both books and I have to say it was worth it! Especially the second one, there you can really see what the boys carry in their hearts. And I was quite surprised by how very differently Gianluca and Piero understood it compared to Ignazio. Here I had the feeling that he took it as an opportunity to say publicly things that he usually avoids in conversation, he was very open. In any case, it was a very interesting and impressive read. But it would be too long to discuss it…
So once again, thank you so much for everything you do for us fans! I believe we have many more decades to come together! (and if there are mistakes in the text, I’m sorry, it’s google’s fault).
My spell check will not allow me to mention your name!
It’s so lovely to read about someone who has just discovered IL Volo. And you show such enthusiasm.
Welcome in this forum Iva. Here we do all understand your feelings and emotions. I “discovered” the guys only 3 years ago by an co-incidence and I fell in love with them instantly. And no, it is not just about their beautiful voices and music, it is the combination of same with their unique personalities. They are very special. So human, so respectful, so bright, so loving and caring – the are absolutely beautiful inside out They have fully stolen my heart and I think of them in one way or another each single day. They have brought new aspects into my life – and also some lovely friends here on this fansite.
I am from Denmark and do neither speak or understand a word of Italian. Luckily, I am quite good with English, so I truly enjoy the translations and comments here and being able to communicate with all of you. A great thanks to Googe Translate ;-).
I purchased the second book last year on a trip to Rome – and I was lucky to have it autographed by two of the guys at their concert at that time – but, so far, I have not been able to read it, as it is in the Italian language…. It is indeed annoying. I hope so very much one day to find a translation of same one way or another, but so far I shall just have to live with it. I am not very good with technical stuff, so I guess purchasing it as an E-book and put it through Google Translation isn’t the right thing for me. But glad you succeeded in the end,
Warmest regards – Kirten, Denmark
You’re welcome, Iva, and I’m glad you got to read the books!! 😀
Iva, Welcome to this amazing site! I’ve been an ILVOLO fan since their first concert on PBS in Detroit! I’m from US mostly Florida but I’m on my way to visit the kids in Connecticut for a few months.
I look for the Flight Crew’s postings every week, in a couple of weeks Susan DeBartoli will be writing her column every Wednesday ( she’s on vacation…..don’t miss them, she fills you in on background and history of our boys). Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio are the whole package rolled into one group of amazing, gorgeous voices and unbelievably beautiful, tender, loving, playful, considerate souls.
Enjoy your concert in Prague (such a beautiful city) and welcome to this site full of lovely women (mostly) who share our love of ILVOLO. I’m impressed that you’ve been able to google translate their books! I guess I should get busy with Google translate!!🤪 I’m so anxious to read them!
Daniela and Pat are such a blessing to all of us for all they do to keep us up on what’s going on!
Greetings from a fellow ILVOLOER, Carol Orlando🎶🎼🎤🎵🙏🏻☮️💖💖💖
Uschi
Iva, thanks for the nice compliments and welcome to the group.
I’m so happy that you found us and also that you read so many of our articles. When we start to know Il Volo we all try to update ourselves on their singing past and every piece of news is astonishing and we are greedy for everything the internet offers.
I’m glad you read the two books and here you can also find an extract from Torpedine’s book who wrote really beautiful things about our kids and their families. I’m sure we’ll have the opportunity to exchange many opinions about our boys, for now I’m sending you a big hug from Italy!!
Thank you ladies for another excellent post. I particularly liked the article from Front Row. I can never remember which of you does the translations, but thank you for your trouble.
Gail I found that Front Row article really nice and finally full of compliments…….it’s about time!! After reading it I was so happy, as if they had written something about my children!!
You’re welcome, Gail. Daniela does all the translations! 😀
I would just be repeating myself if I thanked you for all your hard (and, as far as I know, unpaid) work for us all! Just to watch the videos and read the articles makes it so real, that one might be at the concert, too. Thanks, ladies. Hugs, Dol.
Dolores, all our efforts are rewarded when we read your comments. This time in particular it was tiring because almost all the videos didn’t work and therefore between me and Pat there was a long thread of connection from one part of the world to the other to know if each video worked or not, but in the end there was ‘we did it!! Pat also has only one hand, because the other has just had carpal tunnel surgery…..thanks Pat!!😘
All I can say, being of Scottish ancestry (no offense to the Scots), is that with all the work over the years, I would feel I should be compensated somewhat. More power to you and Pat (who had told me of her upcoming carpal tunnel surgery) for the time-consuming work you both do without thoughts of payment, but just “Thank You” from all of us.
Many hugs, Dol. 💕💕
Prego, amica mia! 😘
Holy cow, Pat!
You did all that work while you are recovering from your surgery. A double thank you for your efforts.
Take care of that wrist. Wishing you a quick recovery.
Thank you for your well wishes Gail. 😊
You’re most welcome, Dolores! It’s all volunteer work for the love of IL VOLO and their music! 😀💕
Pat, I’m sending prayers for your swift recovery…..what trouper!!🫶🏻🙏🏻🤗😘Carol
Thank you, Carol! You’re very kind! ❤️😊
To Dol, there is a place on the site where you can donate if you wish.
Ursula, you’re right, the song Miserere is not very easy, moreover it makes two very different styles sing and people don’t always like it, but I too was pleasantly surprised by the threesome performance, and I must say that I liked it a lot! !
Thank you so much for the recaps and videos!
Lois I’m very happy you liked them.
Dear Carol, Daniela, Ursula, Pat and others, Thank you very much for the welcome and kind words. I’m really glad I found “ilvoloflightcrw” and I believe we’ll stay together for a long, long time 🙂
It’s so nice to find friends with whom I can share my love for Il Volo’s music (and of course for those great guys). Listening to their music and their interpretation of songs gives my life a beautiful harmony… Gianluca’s singing caresses the soul, Piero’s makes the heart flutter and Ignazio’s voice brings it all together and lifts it to heavenly heights.
My only regret is that I didn’t discover them sooner. I won’t be able to do any more concerts in Italy this year, but I definitely plan to do it next year 🙂
Have a great time everyone, enjoy your summers (and some concerts too) and I look forward to maybe seeing or hearing from some of you in the future (when I learn English, I already know a little Italian 🙂 … you know when you listen to songs over and over and want to understand the lyrics…).
Iva, I am also learning Italian. I have been trying ever since I discovered the guys in 2016. I know by heart every word of their older songs. I translated them so I could feel the same feelings as when they sing them. Some of the songs actually bring me to tears!
We are so glad you found all of us ILVOLOVERS! 💗
Iva, Even though I’m Italian, I only discovered Il Volo after the Sanremo victory in 2015, but since then their voices have followed me every day and it’s nice to discover new people joining the group. There are so many of us who love Il Volo and, as we always say…..it is a musical thread that unites us from one part of the world to another.
