The first signs that the date was very close were given by the video of Michelle trying on wedding dresses which I have already forwarded to you.
The next day Michelle published the photo to show that the dress had been picked up and therefore the date immediately seemed more imminent.
The same evening, a family dinner took place with many beautiful photos that suggested a nice “stag/hen party”. Here they are.

The bride wears a beautiful dress by Tosca Spose, elegant but also simple, a tight bodice with a neckline that leaves the shoulders uncovered and with a crisscrossing of the fabric on the chest.
The skirt in vaporous fabric falls softly from the bust, widening widely at the bottom. A beautiful long veil with a high lace edge is closed over a crown of silver flowers resting on hair simply left long.
Everything is very elegant and our Michelle is simply gorgeous! ❤️

It was difficult for me to write this, because I had already expressed to you everything I felt and everything I imagined at Christmas, when I proposed to you.
For me it was always such an important step……that was you, and so I wrote a sort of poem and the title goes like this:

Our story is unique, one of those stories you see in films, or that are told to children. It all started from a look, a look so intense and profound that I fell into it and in the end I never got out.
From the moment we saw each other in November, I knew it was you, I had my wife in front of me.
After a week I gave you the keys to the house, after twenty days I met your family, after a month and a half I asked you to marry me and after less than eleven months I married you.

But as I told you last Christmas, for you there is no perfect time, there is only “our time”, you and I together, from the best moments to the worst, and I discovered it little by little, together we grew a lot in a short time, trying to be the best and for our future family. Thanks to you today I feel like a better man, worthy and ready to take care of my family. I can’t explain to you in words what I feel inside, what happens to me when you take my hand and when you hug me, or when I see you sitting at a concert and we send each other kisses, or when I wake up and see you by my side every morning.
But I have the certainty that I want it for my whole life, I can’t do without it, they say it’s love, and that it’s all contained in one word: I LOVE YOU, but a bookcase full of empty books wouldn’t be enough to write to you many times. I love as much as I truly LOVE YOU.

I would like to recount this wonderful day through my eyes.
I saw two souls in love, looks that spoke of a love that is pure and authentic. I have seen hearts that still retain the simplicity and purity of a child, enclosed in bodies of adults. I have seen the happiness of those who have found true love, that feeling that knows no time, rules or boundaries, without too many thoughts or reasoning, but only follows the heartbeat, free and wild.
I wish to scream to the world how much I love you, because in the end, besides affection, what really unites us are the shared experiences, the moments that touch us deeply, between joys and challenges of life. These are the moments that shape a relationship and make it unbreakable. Even the most distant characters, if united in sharing everything, learn to sail together in the turbulent waters of existence, creating a unique and unbreakable bond. And this is exactly what binds me, you and Piero more than anything else.

I can’t explain in words how much I love you, but you have made my life unique and full of love.
Big brother, (saying “big” shows her affection for Ignazio) you and I have been through a lot in life, good things and bad things, but our strength has always been to never give up and always fight. You are a clear, good, generous person and ready to worry about making the people you love feel good, sometimes without thinking about your own feeling good. You know, I always tell you that I hope one day to find someone who is a carbon copy of you, or who looks like you, but I already know that it will be difficult. Of course you too have your flaws, but you are the brother, friend, confidant that anyone would like to have. We have such a strong bond that we don’t need to talk because we immediately understand if everything is fine or if there is something wrong.
Sister-in-law, I don’t know which angel brought you into my brother’s life and into our life. From the first day I saw you I immediately understood the person you are, and I said to myself: “But how is it possible that they are the same?” You are a woman with a capital D (donna=woman in Italian).

Angela, it was obvious that the words of Ignazio, Caterina and Nina were so beautiful, but I must tell you that I was very surprised to read Gianluca’s message, what a splendid and sensitive man he is. I have always known about the sincere affection that unites Gianluca and Ignazio and I have always defended Ignazio’s antics on stage against Gianluca, confirming to the alarmed fans that it was only staged. Gianluca’s words confirm the true affection that exists between our three men.
I think we all expected to see Piero and Gianluca’s families, but as you saw, there were very few people, maybe around forty in total. A very narrow choice was made and we respect it.

J’ai eu un grand plaisir à voir toutes ces photos que je connaissais pour la plupart déjà mais surtout très contente d’avoir la traduction des voeux d’Ignazio, des discours de Catarina et Nina ainsi que de la lettre que de Gianluca. Tout cela était très émouvant. Une cérémonie civile très simple, une réception dans un très beau lieu qui est restée intime ce qui n’a rien d’étonnant de la part d’Ignazio. Je regrette toutefois que nous n’ayons pas eu connaissance des voeux de Michelle. Je leur souhaite à tous les deux une vie heureuse et de beaux enfants.
Quelqu’un connait il la raison pour laquelle il n’y a pas eu de cérémonie religieuse?
Eliane, tout était spectaculaire et nous espérons tous que leur bonheur durera pour toujours. Moi aussi, je suis désolé de ne pas avoir entendu les paroles de Michelle.
Nous ne savons pas exactement pourquoi un mariage religieux n’a pas été célébré, mais je peux vous dire qu’Ignace, de son propre aveu, dans le dernier livre, a écrit ces mots :
“Je me suis éloigné de l’Église au sens strict et de la foi institutionnelle, plus dogmatique que traditionnelle….”
Nous savons donc qu’Ignazio est très cohérent avec ses idées, mais rien n’empêche qu’il puisse également y avoir un mariage religieux à l’avenir.

We don’t know exactly why a religious wedding wasn’t done, but I can tell you that Ignatius, by his own admission in the last book wrote these words:
“I have distanced myself from the church in the strict sense and from institutional faith, more dogmatic than traditional….”
So we know that Ignazio is very consistent with his ideas, but nothing precludes that there could also be a religious marriage in the future.

Not at all, Gin, Michelle’s mother was there at both events, if you look carefully at the photo of the party with Ignazio and Michelle with the crowns and all their families, she is actually partly her husband and Michelle. On the day of the party in Como, she wore a plum-colored dress with wide, elbow-length sleeves, as seen in the video made by Gianluca, next to her two sons.

Only one thing surprised me – I had anticipated both Gianluca’s and Piero’s parents to have been invited. Kirsten, the wedding was truly beautiful, everything perfect, and we hope it will always be like this in their lives.
The words of the speeches were truly touching, Gianluca published on his page a couple of days after the wedding that video he had made and those beautiful words saying that he wanted to show through his eyes what he had seen and heard, I would say it is a wonderful letter that also summarizes the relationship between the three men of Il Volo!! Dear Daniela and Pat, there aren’t enough thank yous ir words to express how wonderful this post was! First the tears of Ignazio…oh my, how could anyone not be moved! The beautiful princess on her Papas arm and the two angels with rose petals❤️! The love in their eyes and smiles , those dimples, I don’t think two people could have been happier or more in love. The words from mama and big sis NinA, so excited and happy to have their family grow. Ignazio’s words and tears 😭 were sooo heartfelt and genuine…I’m hoping you’ll be able to get Michelle’s vows as well, I’m sure they’ll be beautiful too. Gians letter was….oh my could he love any deeper or be more genuine! He’s such a beautiful soul and human being, God has truly blessed him not only with talent but with light so bright it needs to be shared! I’m hoping it works out with Claudia, whoever he chooses will be one very fortunate woman!

Cuando Dios …la vida presenta ante nosotros mil razones para sentir la felicidad completa hay que demostrar que siempre se tendrá mil y una razones por las cuales sonreír, agradecer .
