The concert organizer, PUPL CONCERTI, posted these words and these beautiful photos and videos!
“Three voices.
(A Sicilian, a Bolognese-Sicilian, and an Abruzzese, to be precise).
An orchestra.
Thousands of people.
And a single emotion that swept across Piazza della Regina.
Il Volo.”
July 25 ESTE
In the Veneto region (province of Padua). The concert took place at the Carrarese Castle as part of the Este Music Festival.

MONDOTV24.IT wrote this wonderful and very truthful review of the concert, which I have translated for you:
Il Volo World Tour 2026-2027: Review of the concert in Este (Padua)
Il Volo’s 2026–2027 World Tour continues, making stops in Italy this summer with a series of concerts in some of the country’s most enchanting locations. Last night, it was Este’s turn.
It has never been entirely clear to me, and I fear that, at this point, it never will be, why a certain type of music doesn’t enjoy the recognition it deserves in our country, especially among younger people.
We often tend to take the talent right in front of us for granted until it conquers the rest of the world. Only then does it seem we truly take notice. Last night, on that stage, Il Volo brought home the fruits of the international journey they have built over the years.
It is a superbly crafted show. True to tradition, a large orchestra backs the trio, and the songs flow seamlessly without ever becoming monotonous.
The structuring of the setlist is undoubtedly one of the show’s strengths. The segments dedicated to the various milestones of their career transform the concert into a shared narrative, allowing the audience not merely to watch, but to journey through the music alongside them.
The setlist covers it all: from opera, arias, and great classics to new tracks from *Ad Astra*, their latest album, as well as hits like “Grande Amore” and “Capolavoro,” and a selection of covers performed either solo or as duets, with the members taking turns on stage.
In a show like this, it is essential to carve out some individual space; after all, a trio is not an undistinguished blend, but a collection of artistic personalities moving forward together on stage.
For their solo spots, each chose their own comfort zone: Gianluca and Ignazio paid tribute to the singer-songwriter tradition by reinterpreting songs by Mia Martini and Luigi Tenco, while Piero remained true to the operatic style with an intense rendition of *No puede ser*.
Personally, I also found the introductions to these solos beautiful, brief monologues in which each singer shared something about himself and his relationship with music. Of the three, Gianluca’s was perhaps the most introspective: he briefly retraced his life, from a childhood spent listening to and singing early songs with his grandfather to the present day, revealing a sensitivity that runs through his entire artistic journey.
The venues Gianluca, Piero, and Ignazio choose for their concerts seem to naturally embrace their music. Places like the one last night, where, for a few hours, the quiet is stirred by the power of their voices.
“An artist is nothing without their audience, and if we are here, it is only thanks to you.” Ignazio said this towards the end of the concert, and I believe it perfectly captures the reality of the situation. Il Volo can count on an extraordinarily loyal audience: people travel from all over the world to hear them and it is wonderful to see how deeply aware the three of them are of this.
If this is the music that represents Italy to the world, then we can rest easy: we are truly in excellent hands.
I must say it is truly wonderful to read such great reviews, and there has been so much press coverage. Especially after actually attending Il Volo’s concerts and witnessing such talent and professionalism, opinions have inevitably changed, out of sheer admiration, but also out of genuine respect.
Il Volo’s fans can be happy, because their constant presence at the various concerts has rewarded the talent of these extraordinary guys.
See you soon in Greece.

Ik was in Malaga concert en het was fantastisch 🇳🇱
Andrea, I’m glad the Málaga concert was great, though I had no doubt about it; they always deliver.
Thank you! It is wonderful to hear the reviewer moved by “our boys”. I had the good fortune to attend a summer concert in Italy while on vacation from the USA. It was several years ago, on the chessboard piazza in Marostica. If you have a chance to take a vacation to a concert venue do it. You will be in good hands.
Karen, I was also at a concert in Marostica a few years ago, back in 2018. There are plenty of videos of mine on YouTube; I’m sending you one, maybe we were at the same concert!
Thank you Daniela for translating this review. I think it is one of the best I have read. It was such a pleasure to hear the kind words describing the guys. I think they’re finally seeing the amazing talent that we fans have all seen right from the beginning.
Cathy, I was really happy reading that review; I thought that the press is finally coming around… better late than never!

Thanks team Flightcrew aka Daniela and Pat. So happy to read the MondoTV24 article – exactly as reading your lips Daniela👍😋❤️
You have said this over and over. So just so wonderful that the media finally realize and as in this case admits that they have been in the wrong for so long. We fans have known their qualities for years but great to see and hear them acknowledged this fine way. Thanks so much for the translation and sharing it with us. Lots of love and greetings from Denmark. Kirsten 🇩🇰
You’re welcome, Kirsten! 😘
Yes, Kirsten, it’s really wonderful to read these lovely reviews, and I have to say, there are more and more of them, and we are extremely proud of that!
