And so, Il Volo has reached the final scheduled outdoor concert in Italy and Europe.

This concert was a last-minute addition and is truly special, as it took place during the “Pordenone legge” event in the presence of Italy’s highest-ranking official: the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella.

The concert was held at the Teatro Verdi in Pordenone (located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northern Italy). Large screen outside the theater allowed others to watch the concert as well.

The concert began with the Italian national anthem.

At the beginning of the video, you will hear the national anthem performed by Il Volo, opening the evening dedicated to the closing of the Pordenonelegge festival, followed by various speeches, including one by the President. I chose to include this video, even though Il Volo appears only at the start, because it was the only one on YouTube featuring the complete anthem.

The speeches are all excellent and important; those who wish to do so can turn on the subtitles to read them.

Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca did not miss the opportunity to step off the stage and shake hands with our President, who congratulated them.

And so, the 2026 outdoor tour chapter concludes with this magnificent official event.

Just the day before this important concert, the BYD Music Awards ceremony took place in Verona, and Il Volo received an award from Assoconcerti.

Il Volo performed only one song, “Nelle tue mani”; here are several videos from Facebook and YouTube.  (Some people may not be able to view the first video from RAI.)

At the end of the performance, Il Volo received a standing ovation that moved the three guys, because it is not easy to achieve such success with a *bel canto* piece in a setting dominated by pop, rap, and trap music.

But that’s not all.

On the evening of September 22nd, Canale 5 aired the game show *La Ruota della Fortuna* (Wheel of Fortune). Within the competition, there is a segment called *La Ruota delle Stelle* (Wheel of the Stars), featuring contestants who are stars from the worlds of film, theater, and music. For this special *Ruota delle Stelle* episode, the competitors facing off were Gianluca, Ignazio, and Piero, Il Volo!

The show had been recorded the previous week, and the prize money won in the competition is donated to charity.

It was a really fun, lighthearted moment; our guys were—as always—polite, personable, and engaging.

In the end, they won 30,000 euros, which will be donated to the Quattro Ottavi Youth Orchestra.

“The Wheel of Champions and Stars”: Il Volo’s charity game

The singing trio had the chance to play “The Wheel of Wonders” and win up to 300,000 euros.

Il Volo won €30,000 on “La Ruota dei Campioni… e delle Stelle” (“The Wheel of Champions… and Stars”), a special prime-time episode of “La Ruota della Fortuna” (“Wheel of Fortune”) hosted by Gerry Scotti on Canale 5. Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble tested their skills on the famous game show’s puzzle boards, playing for charity.

Throughout the evening, the three singers competed in several rounds dedicated to them, alternating with the nine champions who had returned to the studio after distinguishing themselves in the program’s regular episodes. Their journey led them to the final “Wheel of Wonders” game, where they could win up to 300,000 euros.

Il Volo at the “Wheel of Wonders”: In the final game, Il Volo managed to find only the last of the three solutions. This answer allowed the trio to claim the envelope associated with the solved puzzle board, which contained 20,000 euros. After the round, Gerry Scotti opened the other two envelopes, those linked to the solutions the singers had failed to guess. The first contained 30,000 euros, while the second held the biggest prize: 150,000 euros. The 20,000 euros won at the “Wheel of Wonders” were added to the 10,000 euros secured during the earlier rounds, bringing Il Volo’s total winnings for the evening to 30,000 euros.

Who receives the €30,000? The funds will be donated via Mediafriends to the Quattro Ottavi Youth Orchestra, a social project supported by the philanthropic arm of Mediaset, Medusa, and Mondadori. The initiative is aimed specifically at young people from economically disadvantaged families or those living in isolation, with the goal of combating youth hardship and the risk of marginalization through educational and social inclusion programs.
