WORLD TOUR 2026: PORDENONE AND MORE…by Daniela

And so, Il Volo has reached the final scheduled outdoor concert in Italy and Europe.
This concert was a last-minute addition and is truly special, as it took place during the “Pordenone legge” event in the presence of Italy’s highest-ranking official: the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella.
The concert was held at the Teatro Verdi in Pordenone (located in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of northern Italy). Large screen outside the theater allowed others to watch the concert as well.
The concert began with the Italian national anthem.
At the beginning of the video, you will hear the national anthem performed by Il Volo, opening the evening dedicated to the closing of the Pordenonelegge festival, followed by various speeches, including one by the President. I chose to include this video, even though Il Volo appears only at the start, because it was the only one on YouTube featuring the complete anthem.
The speeches are all excellent and important; those who wish to do so can turn on the subtitles to read them.

After the various speeches, the actual concert begins; here are a couple of short videos.

Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca did not miss the opportunity to step off the stage and shake hands with our President, who congratulated them.

Il Volo posted this message of thanks:
“It was a tremendous honor for us to have the opportunity to perform for President Mattarella at the closing event of pordenonelegge.it.
We are deeply grateful, thank you. 🙏🏻”
Pordenonelegge.it has also published this nice video.

And so, the 2026 outdoor tour chapter concludes with this magnificent official event.
Il Volo is truly at the top of their game!

Just the day before this important concert, the BYD Music Awards ceremony took place in Verona, and Il Volo received an award from Assoconcerti.
Il Volo performed only one song, “Nelle tue mani”; here are several videos from Facebook and YouTube.  (Some people may not be able to view the first video from RAI.)

At the end of the performance, Il Volo received a standing ovation that moved the three guys, because it is not easy to achieve such success with a *bel canto* piece in a setting dominated by pop, rap, and trap music.
ASSO CONCERTI AWARDS:
Assoconcerti released this video outlining the reasons for the award:
“During the second night of the BYD Music Awards, AssoConcerti presented a Special Award to Il Volo in recognition of their international career and their ability to bring the Italian musical tradition to the world, reinterpreting it through a contemporary and distinctive style:
‘For successfully revitalizing and sharing the tradition of Italian *bel canto* globally, transforming it into a language capable of uniting different generations, cultures, and countries. AssoConcerti honors three young artists who continue to showcase Italian talent on stages across every continent.’”

Right after the performance, Giulia Salemi asks our guys a question:
“So, what songs do you sing in the shower?”
Ignazio gives a charming response by singing a children’s song. .😁😍

Il Volo was interviewed backstage by Radio Italia (turn on the subtitles).

In this video, Gianluca, Ignazio, and Piero thank the fans of *Sorrisi e Canzoni TV* for their affection and support.

But that’s not all.
On the evening of September 22nd, Canale 5 aired the game show *La Ruota della Fortuna* (Wheel of Fortune). Within the competition, there is a segment called *La Ruota delle Stelle* (Wheel of the Stars), featuring contestants who are stars from the worlds of film, theater, and music. For this special *Ruota delle Stelle* episode, the competitors facing off were Gianluca, Ignazio, and Piero, Il Volo!
The show had been recorded the previous week, and the prize money won in the competition is donated to charity.
I haven’t found a video of the full episode, but I am sharing a few short clips with you here.

It was a really fun, lighthearted moment; our guys were—as always—polite, personable, and engaging.
In the end, they won 30,000 euros, which will be donated to the Quattro Ottavi Youth Orchestra.
I came across this article on TGCOM24; I’m providing a translation here and attaching the original article because it includes a video of the final eight minutes of the competition—I hope you can all watch it! (Some people may not be able to view the video.)

“The Wheel of Champions and Stars”: Il Volo’s charity game
The singing trio had the chance to play “The Wheel of Wonders” and win up to 300,000 euros.
Il Volo won €30,000 on “La Ruota dei Campioni… e delle Stelle” (“The Wheel of Champions… and Stars”), a special prime-time episode of “La Ruota della Fortuna” (“Wheel of Fortune”) hosted by Gerry Scotti on Canale 5. Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble tested their skills on the famous game show’s puzzle boards, playing for charity.
Throughout the evening, the three singers competed in several rounds dedicated to them, alternating with the nine champions who had returned to the studio after distinguishing themselves in the program’s regular episodes. Their journey led them to the final “Wheel of Wonders” game, where they could win up to 300,000 euros.
Il Volo at the “Wheel of Wonders”: In the final game, Il Volo managed to find only the last of the three solutions. This answer allowed the trio to claim the envelope associated with the solved puzzle board, which contained 20,000 euros. After the round, Gerry Scotti opened the other two envelopes, those linked to the solutions the singers had failed to guess. The first contained 30,000 euros, while the second held the biggest prize: 150,000 euros. The 20,000 euros won at the “Wheel of Wonders” were added to the 10,000 euros secured during the earlier rounds, bringing Il Volo’s total winnings for the evening to 30,000 euros.
Who receives the €30,000? The funds will be donated via Mediafriends to the Quattro Ottavi Youth Orchestra, a social project supported by the philanthropic arm of Mediaset, Medusa, and Mondadori. The initiative is aimed specifically at young people from economically disadvantaged families or those living in isolation, with the goal of combating youth hardship and the risk of marginalization through educational and social inclusion programs.
As always, guys, congratulations on all these events you always handle so perfectly, bringing elegance, charm, and great talent with you.
We know you’re busy rehearsing for the upcoming Mantua concerts—and I’ll be there on Sunday the 27th, too!
See you very soon,
Daniela 🤗

WORLD TOUR: CASERTA and more by Daniela

The Naples concert (Caserta) had been announced as the final date of the Italian outdoor tour, but a concert in Pordenone was subsequently added; that one, however, will certainly be different, as the President of the Italian Republic will be in attendance.
So, let’s turn to the Caserta concert—specifically:

September 8   Caserta

The concert took place in front of the magnificent Royal Palace of Caserta.

This is not the first time Il Volo has performed in front of this magnificent royal palace—here are a few historical facts about it.
The Royal Palace of Caserta is a royal residence located in Caserta that historically belonged to the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies. Commissioned by Charles of Bourbon, the foundation stone—marking the start of construction—was laid on January 20, 1752, based on a design by Luigi Vanvitelli; he was later succeeded by his son Carlo and other architects. The palace was completed in 1845.

Francesco Boccia (songwriter of “Grande Amore”) also attended the concert; he posted this comment and video.
“Last night, I embraced my little brothers Gianluca, Ignazio, and Piero again after watching an extraordinary concert at the Royal Palace of Caserta. Il Volo is the answer to all my fears and doubts about the future of music in Italy. Talent still exists, great singers still exist, and beautiful songs still exist! In a dark and decadent time where ‘nothingness’ is so highly praised, #ilvolo is the light.
Thank you, guys, for all the emotions you’ve given me; I love you and always will. ❤️”
Caserta Web, an online newspaper, published this article:
Il Volo Thrills Caserta During the Royal Leg of a Global Success
The three young artists continued their summer tour by captivating audiences in Campania (Naples is in the Campania region) during an evening that celebrated the excellence of Italian *bel canto*.
Caserta was filled with music and atmosphere last night as the renowned trio Il Volo stopped in the city for a thrilling concert.
Part of the “Un’estate da Belvedere” series—conceived and directed by Massimo Vecchione—the event transformed the extraordinary setting of the Royal Palace of Caserta into a natural stage for one of the world’s most acclaimed vocal ensembles.
Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble treated the audience to a performance that spanned the various facets of their repertoire, demonstrating once again why—after an eighteen-year career—they continue to represent the excellence of Italian music on the international stage.
A success that transcends borders.
The figures speak for themselves: twenty-two million records sold, eleven years of television programs marking their rise, and a historic milestone as the first Italian artists signed by a major American record label. It is a track record rich in accolades—one that received exciting new confirmation last night on stage in Caserta.
The setlist skillfully balanced various phases of their artistic output, alternating between great classics of the Italian tradition and the operatic pieces that shaped their early training, right through to the famous songs that have defined their extraordinary career.
Italian tradition at the heart of the world.
What makes Il Volo’s offering unique is their ability to bridge the historical legacy of Italian song with the sensibilities of younger audiences. The three tenors do more than simply perform; they convey the essence of a musical tradition that has long served as a cultural ambassador for Italy across the globe.
Their extraordinary voices have moved diverse generations, demonstrating how Italian *bel canto* retains its power to speak to people’s hearts, regardless of age or cultural background. It is a message of universality that found its ideal setting last night within the magnificent Royal Palace of Caserta.
Upcoming Events
Il Volo’s summer is just getting started. Their upcoming engagements will see the trio perform in Mantua on September 24, 26, and 27, 2026, as the stars of the fourth edition of “TUTTI PER UNO” at the magnificent Palazzo Te—a venue that, given its extraordinary cultural and historical significance, provides the perfect setting for their performances.
With the next concert in Pordenone scheduled for September 20th, we all expected the guys to have a few days of well-deserved rest—especially since rehearsals for the Mantua show were looming—but that wasn’t the case; on September 11th, Il Volo appeared as guests at a private event—the high-profile wedding of a Brazilian tycoon’s daughter—held in Puglia at the beautiful and renowned Borgo Egnazia.

But that’s not all: immediately after the wedding event, Il Volo left for Orlando, Florida, for another event—the National Dance Championships. They sang “Nessun Dorma,” receiving a standing ovation. 👏👏👏

Joining them is Edo Ferragamo , who posted this comment and these photos:
Orlando, what a night.
Proud to have served as Musical Director for USDC 2026, bringing together an incredible lineup of talent, including the amazing Il Volo for a night I won’t forget.
Months of work behind the scenes, then finally getting to watch it all come to life.
Grateful to everyone who made it happen and congrats to the best dancers in the world.
Once again, our guys have amazed us with their hard work and energy… they are tireless… now they have to rush home—there’s the Pordenone concert, and right after that, preparations for Mantua!!!
By the way, what do you think of Gianluca’s new look?
Honestly, I’m not too crazy about it!! Let me know what you think.
See you soon: Daniela 🤗
