The Naples concert (Caserta) had been announced as the final date of the Italian outdoor tour, but a concert in Pordenone was subsequently added; that one, however, will certainly be different, as the President of the Italian Republic will be in attendance.
So, let’s turn to the Caserta concert—specifically:

This is not the first time Il Volo has performed in front of this magnificent royal palace—here are a few historical facts about it.
The Royal Palace of Caserta is a royal residence located in Caserta that historically belonged to the House of Bourbon-Two Sicilies. Commissioned by Charles of Bourbon, the foundation stone—marking the start of construction—was laid on January 20, 1752, based on a design by Luigi Vanvitelli; he was later succeeded by his son Carlo and other architects. The palace was completed in 1845.

The three young artists continued their summer tour by captivating audiences in Campania (Naples is in the Campania region) during an evening that celebrated the excellence of Italian *bel canto*.
Caserta was filled with music and atmosphere last night as the renowned trio Il Volo stopped in the city for a thrilling concert.
Part of the “Un’estate da Belvedere” series—conceived and directed by Massimo Vecchione—the event transformed the extraordinary setting of the Royal Palace of Caserta into a natural stage for one of the world’s most acclaimed vocal ensembles.
Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble treated the audience to a performance that spanned the various facets of their repertoire, demonstrating once again why—after an eighteen-year career—they continue to represent the excellence of Italian music on the international stage.
A success that transcends borders.
The figures speak for themselves: twenty-two million records sold, eleven years of television programs marking their rise, and a historic milestone as the first Italian artists signed by a major American record label. It is a track record rich in accolades—one that received exciting new confirmation last night on stage in Caserta.
The setlist skillfully balanced various phases of their artistic output, alternating between great classics of the Italian tradition and the operatic pieces that shaped their early training, right through to the famous songs that have defined their extraordinary career.

Il Volo’s summer is just getting started. Their upcoming engagements will see the trio perform in Mantua on September 24, 26, and 27, 2026, as the stars of the fourth edition of “TUTTI PER UNO” at the magnificent Palazzo Te—a venue that, given its extraordinary cultural and historical significance, provides the perfect setting for their performances.
With the next concert in Pordenone scheduled for September 20th, we all expected the guys to have a few days of well-deserved rest—especially since rehearsals for the Mantua show were looming—but that wasn’t the case; on September 11th, Il Volo appeared as guests at a private event—the high-profile wedding of a Brazilian tycoon’s daughter—held in Puglia at the beautiful and renowned Borgo Egnazia.

In this period of apparent calm and lack of concerts, I’m offering you the translation of three wonderful interviews with our guys.
The first was published in the newspaper LA GAZZETTA DI MANTOVA.
Il Volo: “Fascinated by Palazzo Te. We’ll have many guests on stage.”
The internationally renowned trio talks about themselves before their live dates scheduled for September 24th, 26th and 27th at the Esedra.
This year, the Esedra of Palazzo Te will once again host the fourth edition of Tutti per uno, scheduled for September 24, 26, and 27. This project, organized and produced by Friends & Partners and conceived by Michele Torpedine, features Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble. In short, Il Volo, an internationally renowned group, talks about themselves in this interview with the Gazzetta.
When asked why Mantua was chosen for the second consecutive year, the immediate response is a quip:
“They forced us.”
It’s enough to break the ice and transform the interview into an informal chat, consistent with the direct and spontaneous nature of the three artists. Immediately afterward, however, the tone changes:
“Mantua was truly surprising. Palazzo Te is a magical place. Honestly, we didn’t know it well, and when we arrived, we were amazed.”
They add:
“Seeing it on television was even more wonderful. We came from the Verona Arena and other very important contexts, but Palazzo Te managed to maintain the level we desired. When things are going well, you have to ride them, so we decided to return.”
The guests for the next edition are still top secret for now. The trio emphasizes that there are still several months to go and many confirmations to be made. “We can only say that there will be guests from previous editions, but also many new ones,” explains Piero. One thing is already certain, however: around 90 songs in total on the setlist.
The new single
Then comes the new single “Cuerpo sin alma,” created with Carlos Rivera, one of the most important voices in contemporary Latin music. The song, out Friday, May 22nd on all digital platforms, is a reinterpretation of Riccardo Cocciante’s “Bella senz’anima,” revisited with an Italian-Latin twist and already available for pre-save. “It’s a project designed primarily for the Latin American and South American market,” explains Gianluca. “Carlos is a friend of ours, and we were looking for something to do together. He suggested this song, which was very famous in South America in the 1960s and 1970s.”
The idea, adds Ignazio, is twofold: “On the one hand, to bring this music back to those who experienced it in those years, on the other, to make it known to new generations.”
The human journey
Speaking about future tours and their many years of career together, the three reflect on their personal and artistic journey. “We’re no longer the same as when we were 15. Traveling the world for 17 years shapes you so much.” Today, they feel more mature, more patient, and more willing to listen. “Living together teaches you so much,” they emphasize.
Finally, they reflect on the theme of mistakes:
“Today, everyone wants everything right away, but on the path to a dream, there are inevitably mistakes and failures. And it’s precisely that middle part that’s the most beautiful, because it’s the path that makes you grow.”

An interview with the two members of the popular Sicilian trio. Piero Barone and Ignazio Boschetto announce their new summer tour, debuting in Syracuse and returning to Taormina, and discuss what has kept them together for 17 years.
“Have you ever wanted to go on stage dressed as bad guys and smash everything?”
The question remains there, hanging, to break the ice and the cliché.
Piero Barone smiles with the composure of someone who truly feels that jacket is tailor-made for him. Ignazio Boschetto, on the other hand, allows himself one of his trademark grimaces, the kind of grimace of someone who respects the script but knows where to write his own part.
Gianluca Ginoble, the third point of the Il Volo triangle, is missing. “No purge,” they both joke, “today we’re playing with a majority of Sicilians.”
Roots flourishing now that talk of the new, upcoming summer tour is underway (dates that precede the fourth edition of “Tutti per uno” – September 24, 26, and 27 at Palazzo Te in Mantua, subsequently broadcast on Canale 5. The return to Italian arenas is in December, while a new European leg involving the continent’s major capitals is planned for the fall of 2027). Meanwhile, two dates weigh more heavily than the others on the World Tour calendar: July 11 at the Greek Theater in Syracuse and August 22-23 in Taormina.
If Taormina is a homecoming, a perimeter where every stone and every acoustic reverberation is familiar, Syracuse is the unknown. A complete debut, almost a flash of light that would dazzle even those who have graced stages across the globe.
“We’ve taken the best seats,” confesses Piero.
But it’s not just a matter of homeland; it’s more about children, and therefore about people, about the audience.
There’s a certain rhetoric about the Italian warmth, but what is it that’s really missing in Italy abroad?
“It’s not love or the way to show it,” they explain. “It’s a question of codes, of gut instinct. Even if we’re abroad, we still think in our own language and in translation; instinct gets lost in that transition. In Italy, you speak the way you eat. Interaction is spontaneous, immediate. It’s part of us.”
Then we return to that almost need for control that Barone asserts without embarrassment. “I am what you see. I like to have everything under control, to experience things calmly but precisely. I also have a sense of humor, it’s just that my teammates often don’t understand it.” “Ironic?” Ignazio immediately cuts him off with a laugh. “Sometimes he says such stupid things that you just want to say, ‘Please, shut up.’ But yes, in his rigidity, he’s hilarious.”
No smashed guitars, then, at least in the near future. No rock and roll thrills. Just a straight-laced discipline, despite the twists and turns of the road. And a lot, a lot of awareness (which rhymes with professionalism). Also because, “if you indulge in excess the night before, you pay for it the next day.” No scotch in the glass, just hazelnut coffee (Piero’s new passion, which he sips throughout our chat).
The question is there. Whether being together for 17 years, crammed into such an all-encompassing group identity, isn’t ultimately a forced democracy. A golden cage for cashing in.
Ignazio’s answer is clear and direct: “If it had been just business, it would have ended ten years ago. We have an almost messianic mission: to keep this musical genre alive, to bring it to young people, to reawaken the nostalgia of those who lived through the Pavarotti era. This unites us beyond any misunderstanding. Today, the world is moving toward individualism, but we exist and resist as a group. This is what is sometimes hard to understand.”
Yet the gnawing sting of personal ambition is human. Sooner or later, someone in every band wants to step out of the common car and travel on their own.
Piero doesn’t hide: “It’s a legitimate question. Gianluca has his inclinations towards pop music, and perhaps one day, if it’s ever possible, I might want to indulge in the whim of producing an opera. But today we know that our center of gravity is Il Volo. Today we know that together we have a strength we could only dream of alone.”
They became famous before they even wanted to.
A sliding door called “Ti lascio una canzone,” which they crossed at just 15 years old. When asked what they missed from normal life, the answer is clear. Ignazio had an adolescence, between scooters and hanging out with peers. Piero less so. “I never went on school trips. Never been to Selinunte, for example. I was severely allergic to dust, I couldn’t risk it. The only trip I ever took was to the Alcantara Gorges, and I came home speechless. A disaster.”
Now that they’re adults, the balance sheet closes with a game of mirrors. No mincing words, just a blunt concept dedicated to each other. Piero looks at Ignazio and says, “Honesty.” Ignazio returns the look and says of Piero, “Perseverance.”

A musical journey spanning seventeen years, uniting generations and bringing the Italian opera-pop tradition to the world’s most prestigious stages. Following the extraordinary success of their leg in arenas across the United States and Latin America, Il Volo is preparing to conquer the summer of 2026 with a tour spanning Italy, Greece, and Spain.
In a detailed interview with La Gazzetta del Mezzogiorno, Piero Barone, Ignazio Boschetto, and Gianluca Ginoble open up about their new single, their deep connection to Italian tradition, and their highly anticipated performance in Barletta, Puglia, on August 7th.
The new single: “Cuerpo sin alma” featuring Carlos Rivera
The trio recently announced the release of their new single “Cuerpo sin alma,” a stunning international reinterpretation of Riccardo Cocciante’s classic “Bella senz’anima,” performed in a duet with Mexican star Carlos Rivera. The song features the prestigious production of Julio Reyes Copello, a multiple Grammy award winner who has previously collaborated with icons such as Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, and Ricky Martin.
Regarding the genesis of this collaboration, the trio explains:
“Meanwhile, the collaboration with Carlos Rivera was spontaneous. We’d met for dinner and promised to do something together, also because his father was an admirer of Cocciante. Traveling the world, we realized that abroad they love what they don’t have and can’t have or create for cultural or anthropological reasons. A heritage like the Italian one, born in a country that laid the foundations for creating music in every aspect, is fascinating. And we, in our own small way, try to continue the tradition of bel canto because there aren’t many other singers our age who bring it to the world.”
Ambassadors of Bel Canto around the world: a great responsibility
Often described as the true diplomats of Italian music abroad, the three artists live by this label with extreme humility but also with great awareness. When asked if they truly feel like “ambassadors of Italy to the world,” they respond:
“It’s a subjective matter, but a great responsibility, for example, is to try to keep our enthusiasm alive when we sing, to be as consistent as possible with the choices we make. It’s true, some call us ambassadors of bel canto, but that’s only a consequence of how we feel and experience music.”
A success that is not only aimed at a nostalgic audience, but is also reaching an increasingly younger audience thanks to the timeless power of the melody:
“Just see one of our concerts. It’s true that initially, our television career, especially, was followed by an older audience, but our goal has always been to bring this genre to our peers, because today’s platforms offer more commercial tracks, but the melody is absolutely transversal. There’s a significant segment of the audience that has grown up with us.”
From Pavarotti to Operatic Pop: Great Collaborations
Il Volo’s stylistic hallmark lies precisely in their ability to break down barriers between musical genres, a path already blazed in the past by the giants of classical and pop music.
“Obviously, we took inspiration from Luciano Pavarotti; he was the first to do so and to understand the true power of this music, which could reach a wider audience. In Italy, we’re so accustomed to melody that we almost reject it; in England, for example, Adele’s most-listened-to songs are all ballads with orchestra. It’s also not true that romanticism is dead, and perhaps we should start talking about it again, offering less frivolous content. It’s not a war, absolutely, because there’s light music and more challenging music depending on the moment, but, as far as we’re concerned, we like to mix genres, singing with those artists who have become friends today.”
A perfect balance that requires obsessive care of the most important instrument: the voice.
“It takes self-love. In the past, there were times when we were a little more distracted, but today we take singing lessons, we follow a more defined path, we’re always trying to improve. People think that singing is simple, you lean in and breathe, but it’s precisely that knowledge of yourself and your body that makes the difference on stage, and if you don’t take care of it, you won’t have a very long career.”
The 2026 summer tour
The summer tour will see Il Volo perform in Italy’s most evocative historic locations. Among the most anticipated events is the fourth edition of “Tutti per Uno” (a format created by manager Michele Torpedine and produced by Friends & Partners), which will take place on September 24, 26, and 28 in the splendid setting of Palazzo Te in Mantua.
“We decided to celebrate these 17 years together and promised to do something together, but then we got carried away and added more dates. Summer tours in Italy allow us to see wonderful places, and the food in areas like Puglia and Basilicata is so good…”
The secret of 17 years of success together
Starting an international career at a very young age and pursuing it together for nearly twenty years is a rarity in the contemporary music scene. So, what is the secret to Il Volo’s longevity?
“It takes intelligence, not just from ourselves, but also from the people around us. It helps eliminate that ego, because in a group, egos can’t exist; you have to work as a team. We’ve learned this in all these years traveling the world: there’s nothing more beautiful than sharing emotions and goals. And we, who experience such high adrenaline rushes, when we achieve something, we want to celebrate it with others.”

The concert starts with the wonderful THE FINAL COUNTDOWN by Europe, which we listened to all three nights as an opener! 🤩
The first great guest of the evening is introduced immediately, the very talented Giorgia.
She is one of the most appreciated and successful Italian female singers, also because she has a fantastic voice.
In 1995 Giorgia won Sanremo with the song “Come saprei”, her manager at the time was Michele Torpedine.
Last year she co-hosted one of the concerts TUTTI PER UNO.
This performance by Giorgia is part of the second evening I attended and in the editing it was placed in the third.
Giorgia begins by singing in duet with Gianluca her song ORO NERO (2016).❤️
She continues in duet with Piero on his beautiful song QUANDO UNA STELLA MUORE (2013)❤️
The duets end with Ignazio together singing the beautiful song by Giorgia DI SOLE E D’AZZURRO (2001) which reaches particularly high notes. Gorgeous!❤️
At the end of the duets:
IGNAZIO= But can’t you sing a little more low-key songs?
GIORGIA= In fact, I’m very happy to have finally found someone who gives me a hand and what a hand, and it’s beautiful to hear your voices on my songs, your beautiful voices.
GIANLUCA = Did we do well? Great responsibility to sing your songs.
GIORGIA= More than well, magnificently!

Then Piero remembers that the night before they had dinner with Giorgia and stayed until 2:30 a.m. laughing and joking, this to underline that there is a great friendship between them.
At the end Gianluca asks Giorgia to sing her last song that she presented at Sanremo this year, the beautiful LA CURA PER ME (2025), 😍 and together with Il Volo she performs the final chorus!
We continue in style with a splendid solo by Ignazio, the song is from 1975.
IGNAZIO= 1975 is the year in which it was released, I dare say it bluntly, one of the most revolutionary songs in the history of rock, you all know it.
The wonderful BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY by the Queen begins. ❤️
Wow, what a voice Ignazio, what a pathos-filled interpretation!
And on with another beautiful duet, this time it’s Piero with Arisa, a good singer that we have already seen together with Il Volo singing in the basilica of Assisi in 2013.
The song they propose is in Neapolitan, written and sung by Modugno, published in 1964, TU SI NA COSA GRANDE. What power of voices!! 😍
Piero’s words:
“I’m very happy, I’m for two reasons, the first is that I’m about to perform one of the most famous Neapolitan songs, and the second is that I’ll be able to do it with one of the sweetest and most elegant voices of Italian song.
Ladies and gentlemen, to TUTTI PER UNO this evening: Arisa.”
It’s time to call the evening’s co-host on stage. She is Spanish, but when she was little she moved to Italy (1999), she is a nice and beautiful presenter and also an established television actress: VANESSA INCONTRADA.
Vanessa performs a skit where she pretends not to know Il Volo and has prepared three indications to help her understand which of the three she is talking about.
Card 1 = He is a male singer, he is part of the group Il Volo, and he won the Sanremo festival in 2015 (this applies to all three) 😂😂
Card 2 = He is very elegant and always dressed in black. (this also applies to all three) 😂😂
Card 3 = He has a tenor voice and wears glasses (we finally recognize Piero) 😂🥰
The concert continues with Il Volo performing the ever-beautiful GRANDE AMORE (2015). 😍
Il Volo continues together interpreting the ever beautiful and timeless song written by Dalla in 1986: CARUSO 😍
I’ve heard many versions of this song sung by various singers, but the way Il Volo performs it is wonderful!
The sweetest moment of the evening has arrived, Ignazio reads some words he wrote dedicating them to his baby on the way, Gabriele.
“You know, many of you know that I will soon become a father (applause), it has always been my desire to be a father.
But before being a father my desire was really to be able to meet my other half, and it is not easy.
Then when you find yourself meeting her, wanting to share your whole life with her, you get married, and there are a lot of married people here tonight, right? (applause) You have not regretted it, have you?
Here, I think that being a dad is a great gift, it is a great fortune and I will succeed, it will be beautiful, I am really excited and I thought of writing a little letter that I will take and read if I manage to finish it, and it is short too……and it says like this:
My dear son, (applause) I don’t know what it will be like to receive the most precious gift that life will give me, I don’t know what it will be like when I am too far away to wake you up in the morning to tell you that I love you.
And I don’t know what it will be like when you take my hand and with your sweet eyes and your sweet voice you will call me dad!” ❤️💙
Another guest enters, she is Alessandra Amoroso, a good Italian singer who shares the same joy as Ignazio for the arrival of a baby, she will soon be a mother.
Together they sing a beautiful song by Stevie Wonder: ISN’T SHE LOVELY released in 1976. 😍
Also on the evening of the concert I attended, this beautiful introduction by Ignazio to the song was made but he sang it solo and not as a duet with Alessandra.
While they sing, Alessandra Amoroso’s growing belly is evident, she also says that hers will be a girl and will be called Penelope and states that she has only one week of gestation difference with Michelle. The happiness of Ignazio and Alessandra who will be future parents is evident!! Congratulations! 💙🧡
Ignazio jokingly says that when he found out his baby was a boy he said to Alessandra: “You see, I’m making you your boyfriend, eh. (meaning Penelope). A good match, a good boy, raised well, from a good family with good values, and then we also get along, so!!”😂😂
At the end Alessandra Amoroso also sings her new song COSE STUPIDE (2025) 🥰
It’s time for Gianluca’s first solo, who with his warm and deep voice performs a beautiful song by Battiato E TI VENGO A CERCARE (1988) 🥰
Gianluca’s words:

Another sweet and emotional moment, it is 2010 and a catastrophe arrives in Haiti, in support of the hard-hit population a large group of singers including our then little Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio, brings back to the success WE ARE THE WORLD USA FOR AFRICA of 1985 which this time becomes WE ARE THE WORLD FOR HAITI.

Beppe Fiorello returns and together with Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero they give life to a moment in which they talk about certain gestures, certain moments that have become a must in films.
At the beginning, Beppe kindly wants to say something off the set list, and says that from backstage he heard the voices of Il Volo proposing songs of a certain importance but performed with extreme ease, with great naturalness, congratulations!
The game that Beppe Fiorello proposes is “time in cinema”.
How many gestures in cinema have remained indelible, explains Beppe Fiorello, for example they immediately recall the legendary movement that made Charlot immediately recognizable!
Then he remembers the run on the steps of Rocky.
Then he remembers the special movement of Spider-Man who throws the cobwebs.
Then he asks Gianluca and Piero to recall the legendary embrace of Jake and Rose on the Titanic. Piero asks to play Rose while Gianluca is asked to play the part of Di Caprio and Ignazio has to do the soundtrack.
Then he remembers a scene from The Godfather that caresses her cheek and the legendary dance of Uma Thurman and John Travolta in Pulp Fiction and all four perform some movements of the dance.

What can I say, another beautiful concert that closed a trilogy of successes, wonderful songs and good guest singers.
Elegance, friendliness and cheerfulness, even the newspapers and the comments speak well of this type of entertainment and of the fact that Il Volo did not rest on its laurels but continued on its path with great success.
And the voices of our dear Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca, always at the top. This time too they made us dream and the television ratings rewarded them.
Many newspapers talked about it but I really liked one article in particular and I will propose it to you translated in the next few days.

I’ll start by saying that this is the concert I personally attended on the evening of May 10th in Mantua at Palazzo Te, so I was eagerly awaiting this moment to relive the entire evening, which was beautiful, and to see what changes they had made compared to the live performance.
Seeing it again was a great emotion and I was able to relive step by step what really happened, yes because the editing differs very little from the real evening.
As always I attach both videos, the one from Mediaset, visible in Italy and the one from YouTube made by Il Volo En Clase that I always thank but that in Italy is not visible, so I hope that in one way or another you can see the whole concert.

The first images of the evening open with Il Volo walking in the courtyard of Palazzo Te.
What you see behind Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca is the back of the palace itself, on the sides of the boys there are two large pools of water and at the end of the avenue opens the large lawn/garden of the palace, called Esedra (where they have placed all the seats). The bottom of the garden is closed with a series of beautiful arches arranged in a semicircular way, right in front of the arches there is the large stage for the performance.
While they walk, Gianluca reads some notes on Palazzo Te.
GIANLUCA= The splendid Palazzo Te in Mantua, was built in 1500 by Giulio Romano, a shining example of the excellence of Renaissance architecture.

The actual concert begins with the notes of the beautiful song THE FINAL COUNTDOWN chosen for the opening of the three evenings in Mantua. 🤩
After the beautiful performance, greetings to Mantua and the audience of Canale 5.
The first great guest of the evening is Gianni Morandi (81 years old), he has been in vogue since 1960, he was a boy when he started singing and is still active.
This performance was not recorded on day 10 but on day 8 during the first evening, in fact if you pay attention during some scenes you can see the rain.
The evening I attended the initial guest was Giorgia who we will definitely see next week.
Gianni Morandi begins by duetting with Ignazio singing the beautiful song GRAZIE PERCHÈ (1991).
He continues with Gianluca singing VITA (1988).
He ends with Piero singing the beautiful SE NON AVESSI PIÙ TE (1966). This beautiful song was also the live-motive of a film with the same title and interpreted by the same young Morandi and which had a huge success.❤️
The last verse of the song is sung by all four together and at the end Gianni Morandi says sympathetically:
“Guys, singing with you is beautiful, but guys, you have too much voice, it’s a disaster for us to keep up with you!” 😂🤣
Gianni usually takes a selfie with whoever he duets with and so tonight he takes a selfie with Il Volo and Piero makes everyone laugh because Gianni’s phone wasn’t in “airplane” mode and so it could ring at any moment! 😂
Gianni Morandi’s guest appearance ends with a sensational song from 1966, here in Italy it was a great success and I always thought it was a foreign song then translated into Italian, instead I discovered that it is an Italian song that was then translated into various languages. The title of the song is C’ERA UN RAGAZZO.
This protest song against the Vietnam War was subjected to musical censorship by RAI for being in opposition to the policies of a friendly country, the USA.
Its words are very beautiful and sad and so I also attach the translated text. It is a hymn to not making wars!! ❤️🕊️

This was one of my dad’s favorite songs, he always sang it to me, and hearing it sung by Piero’s beautiful voice brought back so many fond memories. ❤️
Here follows a duet between Gianluca and the singer Noemi on a beautiful song by Battiato LA STAGIONE DELL’AMORE (1983). 😍
Beautiful duet and beautiful words of which I propose the first piece.

At this point the co-host of the evening is introduced: Lorella Cuccarini (60 years old).
She is a very good and nice show girl, she achieved success in 1985 with the show Fantastico where she danced and sang the theme song SUGAR SUGAR and the dance, which became viral at the time, involved a hand movement that Ignazio continues to propose. Ignazio also takes the guitar to perform the song but also remains breathless!! 😂🤣🥰👏
Lorella Cuccarini activates the timer that stops time in the year 1898, the year of publication of the timeless and highly successful Il Volo O SOLE MIO. 😍
This is immediately followed by the beautiful SE TELEFONANDO (1966), Costanzo’s beautiful words set to music by Morricone and brought to success by Mina. 😍
The concert continues with another welcome guest and good singer-songwriter Antonello Venditti. With him Gianluca performs the beautiful song STELLA (1984). 😍
At the end of the song, Ignazio and Piero, whom Venditti calls “the little brothers of rock”, also arrive and all together they perform the beautiful NOTTE PRIMA DEGLI ESAMI (1984).
Lorella Cuccarini returns to the stage and there is a beautiful tribute to the very talented show girl RAFFAELLA CARRÀ, she was a very nice woman, self-deprecating and good at hosting and singing, a revolutionary woman, a model, an icon. Lorella and the guys remember the bob of her hair, famous because despite the moves of the showgirl the hair always came back in place and became very fashionable at the time and then they also remember the song TUCA TUCA (1971) which had a dance at the beginning censored because Raffaella danced with a top that therefore revealed the navel and the dance included moves where the partner touched Raffaella’s skin. Later it became famous when it was performed in an ironic way by Raffaella and the good actor Alberto Sordi.
The memory of Raffaella Carrà ends with the performance of RUMORE (1974), one of Raffaella’s songs performed by Il Volo and Lorella Cuccarini.
The concert continues with the beautiful song LA VITA (1968) presented at Sanremo by Shirley Bassey and proposed here as a duet between Piero and Fiorella Mannoia. 😍
This performance is also part of the first evening of recording, then edited differently.
At the end of the song Fiorella announces that she will perform a concert at Caracalla and among her guests there will also be Il Volo!

I GIARDINI DI MARZO was written in 1972, I was a little girl then and I remember every word of this beautiful song. It is performed in a beautiful duet by Piero and Gianluca. ❤️
As I told you, I know this song very well and of course I sang it that evening. The cameraman of Canale 5 noticed us and filmed us, we are in a frame almost at the end of the song but you can see me clearly. I am in the middle, next to me my daughter-in-law’s mother and then my husband partially hidden by my arm. How exciting to see each other again, we are also part of the video of Il Volo, what an honor!! ❤️
It’s time for the comic figure of the evening and in this second episode the role has been entrusted to the comedian Enrico Brignano.
In the first sketch he appears impersonating an ancient Roman consul.
At the beginning he defends the Latin language that the guys say is a dead language, then he praises the glory of the past of ancient Rome, all to introduce the next beautiful song NELLE TUE MANI from The Gladiator (1998) sung wonderfully by Il Volo. ❤️❤️
Here is another beautiful song performed by our guys, the beautiful A CHI MI DICE, a success by Blue, released in 2003 and then also translated into Italian.😍
The talented Lorella Cuccarini returns to the stage and compliments our boys.
Lorella makes a speech about the music that accompanies films and that then becomes famous and then MANIAC is immediately named from the film Flashdance (1983).
Then the film Blus Brother is remembered from which the song EVERYBODY NEEDS SOMEBODY TO LOVE (1980) is taken.
Finally the beautiful film Grease from which the beautiful song YOU’RE THE ONE THAT I WANT (1978) is taken, briefly and nicely proposed by Lorella and Ignazio in the Italian version YOU ARE MADE FOR ME. 😍
The evening continues with a beautiful tribute to an Italian singer-songwriter known throughout the world thanks to his song Volare. He is Domenico Modugno, the tribute is made in solo by Gianluca who masterfully performs with his warm voice three beautiful successes by Modugno of which I briefly propose the translated beginning.
It begins with AMARA TERRA MIA (Bitter Land of Mine) (1974).

Another beautiful duet, but this time an opera aria, from the toast of Verdi’s Traviata (1853), the joyful LIBIAM DE LIETI CALICI, skillfully sung by Piero and the soprano Elisa Balbo. ❤️
It’s always a pleasure to listen again to the beautiful GRANDE AMORE with which Il Volo won Sanremo in 2015! ❤️
Lorella Cuccarini returns to the stage with whom Il Volo makes fun of the 80s for the exaggeration of hair and also of clothes. At the end a hypothetical image of Il Volo in 80s style is proposed. 😂
Then a song from that period sung by U2 is introduced and this time performed as a duet by Ignazio and Gianluca, the beautiful WITH OR WITHOUT YOU (1987). 😍
The timer marks a very particular year 1860 is the year of the unification of Italy.
To understand the gag that follows I have to tell you a little about Italian history.
Brignano plays Giuseppe Garibaldi who is considered the architect of the unification of Italy.
With the enterprise of the Thousand (that is, with the help of a thousand men called Garibaldini), he allowed the Mezzogiorno (south) to be united with Piedmont (north) in 1860, and therefore to arrive at the constitution of the Kingdom of Italy (1861).
Garibaldi’s exploits are also very well known in South America, in fact he is called the hero of two worlds.
In the gag our guys do not recognize Garibaldi who instead says he is very famous because every town has a square, a street or a monument named after him.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca are dressed as Garibaldini and carry the Italian flag and every time Brignano says the word “flag” in his speech, they start singing like this:
“And the three-colored flag has always been the most beautiful, we always want that we want freedom, freedom.”
In the end Brignano cannot speak because he is always interrupted by the singing of our guys and Brignano tells the orchestra not to indulge them or he will shoot!

It’s time for a wonderful song by Elton John from 1994 CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT, a song from the movie The Lion King, wonderfully performed by Gianluca.
During the song, two young and talented dancers from the Rome Opera performed. ❤️
This song was also not performed on the second night, but I think it was part of the third concert.
Gianluca’s words for the presentation:
“There are songs that are not just notes and words, but become traveling companions and the one I’m about to sing is one of those, it accompanied me as a child in the moments when I dreamed of being stronger, more confident, and when I constantly looked for confirmation, answers. I was a shy child, with his insecurities and his immense dreams and with time I understood that that shyness was not a limit but a silent force that protected me from arrogance and taught me humility.
Growing up my body changed, the world around me changed, but something remained unchanged, my soul, and inside me that child is still there and tonight I sing with him and this is CAN YOU FEEL THE LOVE TONIGHT.”
It’s the most touching moment of the evening.
IGNAZIO = It’s one of those songs that we always want to dedicate to the people who unfortunately are no longer physically with us and we think it’s right this year for TUTTI PER UNO to dedicate this song to our Barbara who is no longer with us. (applause). 🙏
Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero are moved and raise their beautiful voices in memory of Barbara Vitali, to whom the poignant HALLELUJAH by Cohen (1984) is dedicated. ❤️
Another beautiful and challenging duet is that between Piero and Ignazio who sing the beautiful TU CA NUN CHIAGNE (1987) in Neapolitan language.😍
This time Piero surprises us with a solo in French, he has performed it only once in Japan, in Kyoto in 2022 at the Kiyomizu-Dera Temple: POURQUOI ME REVEILLER from the opera Werter 1892. 👏👏
Lorella Cuccarini returns to the stage for the final greetings, but before saying goodbye together with Il Volo she sings the beautiful song by Gino Paoli UNA LUNGA STORIA D’AMORE 1988. 😍
