A few tidbits from the interview…. they will be in Orlando doing promos next week, they did not announce the new tour dates, but alluded they may be announced on Nov 5. They did mention LA and Nashville! Lucky Judy! 😉  Sounds like they are still waiting on confirmations on the cities, etc., before they can officially announce anything. Gianluca said “he’s taken” Igna says he’s in love, but according to Piero, Igna is always in love lol!, and Piero said he was single! Enjoy!
Hello folks! I’m sure this has already been all around FaceBook by now and maybe even Twitter, but we are posting it here for your convenience. Below is also a great interview that Daniela found. Just fyi, it’s REALLY long, but a great interview. It’s a little history of the guys and how they got to where they are now. Enjoy!
You may have seen the post from the guys on Instagram, advertising that they will be on “TalkShopLive” on Instagram on Monday, Nov 1, at 6pm, EST – That’s “New York” time! 🙂
So here’s what you have to do!
if you don’t already subscribe to Instagram, sign up.
If you already subscribe, find “TalkShopLive” and follow them.
It should be automatic that they send you a notification for live events.
Be sure your phone is set up to notify you of Instagram notifications.
That should be it – wait until 6p on Monday! 🙂
The guys are supposed to be on there live to answer questions! Here are a few screen shots I captured….
On 20 October, Il Volo received a nice award from the Italian Red Cross. The news was published by the newspaper “Il Messaggero” of which I am translating the parts concerning our boys.
In one of the most complex years ever due to the Covid pandemic, the Charity Event will be held tomorrow evening at 19:30, supported by the Italian Red Cross with the Rome Film Festival, promoted by the Barletta Group with the organizational direction of Agnus Dei di Tiziana Rocca.
The Charity Event will be a moment of study and scientific reflection on the health emergency. Contributions from the Italian Red Cross will be presented. Also scheduled are interventions and direct testimonies of associations and individuals personally involved in the fight against Covid in Italy and in the world.
The Il Volo group that accompanied fans from all over the world with their music during the health emergency will be present at the event. A constant awareness commitment for Piero Barone, Gianluca Ginoble and Ignazio Boschetto who continue to be close to the Italian and world fans who have been following them for 10 years.
During the evening, Il Volo will receive an award from the Italian Red Cross in recognition of the commitment and awareness made and aimed at the public and the new generations to whom they have dedicated positive and hopeful messages during the hardest period of our country.
(In this photo, Gerardo Sacco, the goldsmith who conceived the award that was awarded during the evening. He suffered Covid firsthand. The award represents the Phoenix, rising from the ashes)
And here they are, our beautiful Ignazio, Gianluca and Piero, elegant and admired in the beautiful evening at Villa Miani, in Rome.
At the evening there were many characters also linked to the entertainment world. Godmother of the evening Fanny Ardant (French actress). Also present and rewarded for her commitment Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, ex wife of Prince Andrew.
Some pictures of the evening.
With Stefano Coletta, director of Rai1
With the Duchess of York
With Valeria Marini, Italian actress and showgirl.
With Rosario Valastro, national vice president of the Italian Red Cross.
In his tweet he wrote as follows: At the Charity event in favor of @crocerossa the legendary boys of @ilvolo! Thanks @piero_barone @IBoschetto and @ GianGinoble (he was there too, I swear 😉): your voices really gave us emotion!
Yes, because Il Volo also enlivened the evening with two beautiful songs: Nessun Dorma and Your Love.
Unfortunately there are only short videos, like this one, recorded and posted by Eleonora Daniele, a well-known Italian TV presenter.
Here is the comment from the newspaper:Â Theater and Music .
“Il Volo pays an extraordinary homage to Ennio Morricone with The Ecstasy of Gold, the main motif created by the Maestro for the soundtrack of The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. This is how one of the most popular music of 55 years ago becomes so a wonderfully timeless song in 2021. The talent of the three boys is beyond dispute: it is a pity to have a text in English, which certainly makes the song more international but deprives it of some of its authentic Italian character. “
The new single will be downloadable from all digital platforms, and soon, we will see the video shot for this single.
But there are still news, Il Volo on November 27 will perform a concert in ISHGL in Austria.
So a lot of good news, but other it will still come.
Congratulations to Il Volo for having obtained recognition from the Italian Red Cross.
The new single is amazing, what wonderful voices, I can’t wait to see the video, and you ??
Not sure how many of you were able to watch this last week, but I wanted to give my two cents worth! 🙂
I have to say, that I think they actually did a pretty good job of it. Of course, there wasn’t enough of our guys singing, in the whole 1.5 hour show, I think we maybe got about 45 min of them singing – maybe!
But overall, I think it was good. They did a simulated interview session, back and forth and of course lots of pledge time. Not sure how they do it, but it is in English. Even though we translated it all and some of us have downloaded the entire concert, it is nice to hear it in English. 🙂
I think, perhaps, all of our bugging them helped them finally pronounce their names right. They came really, really close to saying Ignazio’s name almost right! 🙂 It only took them 12 years!
I really thought it would air twice this month, but it was the only time it is scheduled for Aug or Sep. I imagine it will be on again for the Nov/Dec season.
I did want to let you know that you can order the DPTV Passport for $5 a month and should be able to stream the concerts and other programs. And give you the links to purchase the CD, DVDS, etc. LINKS ARE BELOW:
And, yes, I will probably order the whole “kit and kaboodle!” 🙂Â

Hello folks –Â
Just a really quick post on this – not sure if this will be going national quite yet, but if you are in the Detroit viewing area, PBS will be presenting the Ennio Morricone concert this Thursday at 9p EST (DST). If it’s not on in your area, call your local PBS station to find out when it might be aired.
Likely most have already seen it on this site and have seen and read the translations from Jo Ann and Daniela. I am hoping they did a nice interview in Italy with them and this show will give us some insight to possible future concerts and CD/DVDs. I know they said they were working on the CD, so we may be able to order it for Christmas. I literally recall about 6 years ago now, ordering the CD/DVD from them and having to go in circles trying to get it delivered to my correct address, because I was moving! What a nightmare that was!
The guys obviously did not come to the USA this time to promote it from Detroit PBS and they did not ask for any volunteers, or Chris and I would have been there! 🙂
