IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…..

pncReport

Hi Everyone,

According to our Board member, Michele, the Boston concert was a smashing success. This was Michele’s second concert this week and she reports “The Boys” were on top of their game. Michele will have more tidbits to report later after a long drive home, so stay tuned!!!

The concert tonight is at The PNC Bank Arts Center in Holmdel Township, NJ.
The PNC Center is a modern Amphitheatre, opening in 1968, it has 7,000 seats and 10,500 can occupy the grassy area. The Center holds concerts from May through September and features many different musical styles. It is said to be the most successful amphitheatres in the country and one of two major outdoor arenas in the New York City Metropolitan area.

Twitters, Tweets and Keeks :

Gianluca tweeted 13 hours ago “Doing Nothing” also included a very handsome photo. He later tweeted “Going on stage, like my look?” also with a great photo. He tweeted later “Great concert in Boston, thank you everybody”
Piero tweeted yesterday “Playing and singing ” Always on my mind” Elvis Presley” He later tweeted pictures of Himself, Ignazio and Gianluca working out. They seem very committed to keeping themselves in shape while on tour. Piero also tweeted, “My friend Rober is doing my haircut in Boston” See Photo he also sent.
Ignazio tweeted last night “Night Night body, sleepy, late, Ilvolovers “I love you.”
Check out re-tweet by Piero from Priscilla Presley with photo, she says “Amazing tenor singers..and very cute..girls P.”

  1. Good for you Dancer! Amazing is right!

I guess since Ignazio is not moving in with me (I haven’t given up hope though) I would rather see him in Bolognia than in LA. I think he will find more peace there. I think that’s what he seeks. (Is Jeanine rubbing off on me again?)

  2. Marie, you silly girl!

Hey! Wow! Re-tweet by Piero from Priscilla Presley with photo, saying “Amazing tenor singers..and very cute..girls P.” !!
Is this for real?? …Very nice!!

And here’s something that just came to me today
…I AM the IDEA LADY, according to my friends and colleagues!…
in ADDITION to my specialized vision of
Celine Dion singing with IL VOLO (yes, I’ll share that vision with them when the time is right),
I just came up with a HOT new feature to my vision.

    Check out this YouTube
All the Way – Celine Dion and Frank Sinatra LIVE

Then watch GIANLUCA singing Night and Day in Montreal
Gianluca Ginoble from Il Volo – Night and Day – Montreal 09/08/13

Can’t you just see IL VOLO, headlined by Gianluca, singing All the Way with Celine Dion?!

    So I just watched YouTube
Frank Sinatra – Royal Festival Hall 1970
and, GIAN, your voice IS BETTER than SINATRA’s, even if he was “The Voice”!

    Whew! Possibilities!!
    (; >) Love and respect!

    1. Brazen as that may seem – I thought the same thing about Gianluca vrs. Sinatra and I was a big fan of Sinatra in those days. But I am even more of a fan of these incredible, quality-trained artists. Goodness.

    1. Agreed, Loretta, on both counts.

So… I will qualify my comments on Gianluca and Sinatra.

Live I think Gianluca’s Night and Day in Montreal is better (at least smoother) than what I heard from Sinatra from the Royal Festival Hall in 1970 (YouTube) and from Frank Sinatra Concert videos (posted by Sinatra Fan) and from iTunes Sinatra’s recorded Night and Day.

Much as I think Gianluca does a fabulous job on all of Night and Day, I would say that starting at about 2 minutes into the YouTube
Gianluca Ginoble from Il Volo – Night and Day – Montreal 09/08/13
is at least comparable if not better than Sinatra’s recording of All the Way used in Celine Dion’s duet with him on YouTube
All the Way – Celine Dion and Frank Sinatra LIVE

So, hey, GIAN! After the tours, how about talking to Gatica about you and the boys working up a version of All the Way, just for fun, and then… when the time is right, see what’s possible?!
I’ll be waiting to see what develops! How fun might this be?!

  3. Yes, I have to admit there are NO singers better than Piero Ignazio, and Gianluca! Even my Elvis has been left in the dust by our Il Volo’s version of Surrender!!

      1. I just typed a whole half page about my experience in Pittsburgh. Then I couldn’t post it b/c something on F/B cancelled. So I fooled around, not knowing what I was doing. Finally I was able to get thru. Now I’m too tired to retype everything I wrote. The concert was electric. I loved everything about it. At the M&G, I asked Ignazio if he got your present, Loretta. He said he did. I loved meeting Marie, her sister, and Christine. The boys were delicious. I kissed Pier o and told him he smelled good. I’m sorry we couldn’t spend more time with them. We were herded thru-the only thing I didn’t like.

      2. June, thanks so much for your second effort!
Wonderful details, and happiness for Loretta! How sweet that you asked!
        Ooooh! What fun with Piero!

        Perhaps more later!?

And, the trick is… write your post in a text file that you save. Then paste it in for the blog. If it doesn’t go through that time, you still have it saved in the text file, and you can re-try. Saves a lot of heart ache, although I must say I’ve never had any trouble with this site. (Way to go, Flight Crew!)

        Sweet night,

  4. Oh, oh, I bet you are an Elvis fan. Well have no fear I have bee an Elvis fan for forever. His “Ca’n’t Help Falling In Love With You” reduces me to a quivering mass of jelly. But “Surrender”, well I’m afraid my Il Volo has that one for me. And no one an do hymns like Elvis! But right now Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca have my heart.

  5. Thanks for the nice comments about my letter! Had to really shorten it because of space, but really wanted to share my thoughts since I couldn’t go to a concert this year. Taking my son the see Lion King for his birthday. Couldn’t afford to do both. They bring out a lot of feelings, so writing the letter allowed me to express that to them, Made me feel like I saw them again in person.
Made a couple of posts on another page, didn’t know for sure where I was suppose to be. Time changes of states sometimes confuses me.
    Anyway, thanks again!

  6. Hey, Kitty Kam (AKA Kathryn… not sure how you like to be called), LOVED your letter! Beautiful and so expressive of my feelings, too.

And how cool is it that you were seeing Lion King, since it was after watching Lion King that Piero, Gianluca, and Ignazio decided to do Can You Feel the Love Tonight! Pretty nice synchronicity!

There is this group of angels called Divine Grace. They say that every gift that is ever given IS RECEIVED at some time in one’s existence. I wrote a card this year to IL VOLO, which I asked to have delivered when I was in BC (don’t know if it was delivered), yet I realize now that even as I was writing it and pouring out my heartfelt thoughts, The Boys were instantly receiving the love and support, just as they would prayer.

And in case it wasn’t delivered, I guess I’ll follow your lead and at least post what was on the cover of the card, along with a beautiful dream-catcher and dove on a glorious blue and pink sky:
    “It’s your time for
    catching heart dreams,
    making soul wishes,
    and reaching new heights!”
Seems like it’s been that way ever since Ti Lascio Una Canzone!

    Sharing the Love!

  7. Jeanine, that was a beautiful thought, and very fitting. Isn’t it amazing the feelings, and wishes, and love that the boys draw out of their fans. I sure hope that they know that we adore them, and have their back. We love them like our own, and are so grateful!

  8. June what a thoughtful thing you did asking Ignazio if he received the gift. Thank you I have been wondering if he received it. Now if he wore it & took a picture I would be forever grateful to him. It had an Italian comment on it & I would have liked to have seen him open it & see his surprise. He probably wont be BBQing anytime soon so will have to wait & see if he remembers to take a picture. Thanks again June I’m glad you had a good time at the concert & you were able to meet them as well.
