IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…..

caracasReport

10/12/13

Hi Everyone,

The concert last night in Valencia was fabulous, The Boys were on their game and the huge crowd was into it!! Good job Il Volo!

Tonight’s concert is in Caracas (USB). As there is little information on the venue, I thought we’d do a little tour of Caracas, Venezeula!

Caracas (Spanish pronunciation: [kaˈɾakas]), officially Santiago de León de Caracas, is the capital and largest city of Venezuela; natives or residents are known as Caraquenians in English (Spanish: Caraqueños).

Caracas is located in the northern part of the country, following the contours of the narrow Caracas Valley on the Venezuelan coastal mountain range (Cordillera de la Costa). Terrain suitable for building lies between 760 and 910 m (2,490 and 2,990 ft) above sea level. The valley is close to the Caribbean Sea, separated from the coast by a steep 2,200 m (7,200 ft) high mountain range, Cerro El Ávila; to the south there are more hills and mountains.

Metropolitan District of Caracas includes the Distrito Capital and four other municipalities in Miranda State: Chacao, Baruta, Sucre, and El Hatillo. The Distrito Capital had a population of 1,943,901 as of 2011,[1] while that of Metropolitan District of Caracas was estimated at 3,055,000 as of (2013).

Twitters, Tweets and Keeks:
Gianluca yesterday, “50,000K followers on #Instagram, keep following me!” He says from his account, “Music speaks when words fail” Gianluca tweeted a few hours ago “Good morning, going to Caracas”
Piero tweeted last night, “I love you all #buonanotte”
Ignazio, check an Instagram video on Mundial of Ignazio playing with a baby, They are both sooo cute!

See our new affiliate All Things Il Volo Facebook, for a fan’s short story of how he discovered Il Volo and how it affected his life, with Mike Denton-Arms.
This page has some great photos and comments and is easy to read, check it out!

Mundial has some good photos and videos.

It has been announced that Il Volo cancelled an appearance at The Myan Culture Festival on October 19th. We are assuming it is due to their busy concert schedule.

Dates to keep in mind:
October 22nd–release of “Buon Natale”
November 29th– Holiday performance and signing at Mall of America.
December 1st–Il Volo VIP Wine and Dine in Detroit.

Keep watching for any new dates in December as we receive them.

The concert tomorrow is in Maricaibo, Venezeula at Aula Magna URU.

Love and Luck tonight Guys!

Linda

  1. Linda, exceptional “In Case…” today. With work and this site I sometimes don’t have time to scout the other popular sites. I can always find my news here. I agree with Lejoy, thanks for gathering all the info.

  2. That Myan event was not on the program as it developed. They need the rest anyway.

  3. anyone hear what the situation is with Piero ? I just got word that he checked in with a nurse for a stomach ailment of some sort. Any news?

    1. Have not heard anything. I noticed he was not in any of the photos from yesterday, except one with his father. The guys really are not getting enough rest. I know there are sometimes time lags, but Piero posted good night at 3:06 am and Gian posted good morning at 9:14 am. After travel, socializing, and performing that seems like not enough down time.

  4. I just heard that Caruso was off the concert tonight again. Also another song with high notes dropped – it seems.

  5. The pictures are in from Caracas and Piero looks fine to me!!!! As I keep saying, people shouldn’t worry, they’re just fine! They are bound to have some ailments once in a while, just like the rest of us, but for them, the show must go on, as they say.

    1. I am just reporting items that are forwarded to me from friends in various cities. These are all Il Volo lovers and whether a person gets worried or not is an individual thing. I talk about the voice condition because that is part of my profession and so I take special interest in how these how these guys fair out.

      1. Please don’t misunderstand my optimism for not caring, because I do, very much!! I’m not a grandma, but that doesn’t make me care any less.

However, this is THEIR profession. This is the life that they chose. There isn’t an artist out there, especially those who are still trying to make a name for themselves, who do not have grueling schedules. I do not deny that their schedule is tight. But again, this is the life they chose. I feel it is up to us to support them, their management’s, and their coach’s decisions on the scheduling of their concerts, interviews, promotions, etc. I don’t need to be a ‘professional’ in the industry to have the common sense to know that they all know what they are doing.

No one is stopping anyone from voicing their opinions. However, I should be able to agree or disagree, as I have my opinions at well.

    2. Thank you LeeLee for your thoughts. I too saw the photos on tonight’s concert and Piero seems fine to me. The comments also mention that he sang No Puede Ser. Our guys do have a grueling schedule but I trust that Barbara, their fathers, and everyone on the team will take good care of them. And yes the show must go on so I won’t speculate anything unless it is confirmed by official management. I wish them the best and I pray for their well being 24/7. Gianluca, Piero, Ignazio please take care and have a great tour. We love you here and are patiently waiting for your safe return.

  6. I did not catch this before but they evidently added another concert to the tour by adding 3rd date for Buenos Aires. They also moved Panama from Oct. 15 to Nov.16 – good thing here is that gives them some rest after tomorrows concert.

  7. Myron, yes I worry about their voices also. How much time does that give them to rest, not only voices but bodies too. Where will they be at that time? Is it another Live Nation decision, or managers of the boys? Lots of questions, I know, but everyone here cares so much about them. Can’t be grandmas without worrying!!!

    1. I also agree that with their busy schedules their private time (after all, they are young people) their travel time, theyneedsome down time. Worry a lot about them. Like it was said after all we are grandmothers!

  8. Ok all this talk about their health is starting to worry me. Must pray more. Hope their guardian angels are always close by.

  9. Here, where we, the Flight Crew, Share the Love, we have a great diversity of opinions. And there’s one thing we all have in common, regardless of how we experience or express it: We Love Our Guys! We all wish the best for them, their careers, their voices, their health, their happiness!

Piero, Ignazio, Gianluca, we love you, and we are with you in wishing you the best in every moment, every decision, every experience, every concert, every song, every album, every vacation, every skype with your loved ones!

And now I’ll express my opinion. In my experience, at least to some degree, what I focus on is what I get. So, here’s what I’m focusing on now:
… Wouldn’t it be wonderful if Our Guys feel healthy and vibrant and joyous the rest of the tour?!
… Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the change in dates and venues gives them just the respite and opportunities they need and want?!
… Wouldn’t it be wonderful if the 2013 tour schedules opened the door between Our Guys, management, and whoever else will be involved in 2014 (Live Nation or otherwise) to create a truly rejuvenating schedule that is financially feasible, gives them down time for their health and enjoyment, provides them the time they want with their families and friends in Italy, L.A., wherever they like, provides concerts in accessible locations around the USA and beyond (no area too far from a concert)?
… Wouldn’t it be wonderful if this new “IL VOLO style” of touring becomes the “new normal”, so that no musical artist feels they “have to have a grueling schedule, that that is just part of the business”?
… Wouldn’t it be wonderful if… new creative ways make life better and better and better?!
… Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we all felt ever more deeply the truth of We Are Love?!

Ahhh,,,, (; >) smiling already! Un besito y un abrazo bien grande to our beloved Boys!

  10. Jenine, I agree completely with your Wouldn’t it be Wonderful Ifs. I hope and pray every day that Our Boys will never feel overworked and will continue to sing with love and enthusiasm. I, too, am a grandmother, and will always be concerned about Piero, Ignazio, and Gianluca.. Isn’t it funny, tho. I don’t remember ever feeling so much love for any other singing group!.

  11. let me put my mouth in here!! South America is famous for people getting stomach ailments. I don’t know if it is the water, or food hygiene not observed like in America. also remember when they were in Asia 2 years ago, Ignazio came down with a stomach bug and had to miss some of the interviews, remember? so we have to expect this from time to time. However I am very confident in their crew, and they have flexibility in their choices of songs, and to be honest, in South America whether they sang high, or perfectly, the girls are screaming so much that they don’t really know, they just love the boys and want to be near to them and that’s all that matters to them. however, I see it as a blessing in disguise that they postponed the Panama concert, it will give them a little rest. God is looking after them.

  12. I agree with all of you, from their guardian angles to their troop, they are beloved. They are watched over. They want what’s best for them even more than we do. If you can imagine such a thing!

  13. Hi, Allene, Deanne, and all,

Yes! The Boys are in my prayers to God and angels for their joy, love, success, their highest good in every thing and every day, even when I don’t know what might be the very best for them “in the long run.”

The other day I caught myself thinking, “IL VOLO is God’s secret weapon!” Well, I don’t really believe God has (or needs) weapons, but it was just this awareness how these three amazing guys can worm their way into our hearts, and uplift and transform us, probably even in ways beyond our knowing.
Maybe like retired professor Mike Denton-Arms wrote about in an article for All Things IL VOLO Facebook.

Thank you, Linda, for the wonderful heads up and for your fantastic writing, research, and keeping us connected. I agree that your work is spectacular, as is that of all our Flight Crew Board!

Yes, feeling Love, connection, gratitude, awe for Our Guys beyond all comprehension… even as I know every droplet is so deserved many times over!

Ahhhhhh again! (; >) Lovin’ you, Gianluca, Piero, Ignazio!
    ~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway

  14. Let me put my mouth too in here. I think this kind of thing happens in all over the world, not only in South America, my sister in law had stomach problems and fever in Miami in January. They stay in the best hotels and can eat in the best restaurants. It depends on what they are eating, in some countries the food is strong, maybe they are not accustomed with this kind of food. As far as I know Ignazio has throat problem, like Gianluca had, and Piero stomach problems, but this could be becouse they have not rested enough. And the latin american girls love them for sure, but they like they voices too. I read twittes and I saw is not only for they are looking good.

  15. Hey gang, worst thing!! Linda’s computer is sick. The Geek Squad is now in possession and she hopes it will be well by Wednesday. Ugh!

  16. OmGosh! Wednesday – can’t the Geek Squad work faster than that! This is an emergency!

Re: stomach problems – my niece is the same age as the guys and even though she knew better – she ate something from a food cart in Mexico where she is in school and was very sick – her friend was hospitalized. It happens, unfortunately.

Why aren’t they drinking that Emergen-C I gave them! Well, I gave it to Gianluca but he could share!

  17. I did not have any sources tonight so I hope the concert has gone well. and hope no one is feeling ill or having throat problems. Fingers crossed – we are ok. AND NOW THREE DAYS OFF ? No, that can’t be correct. Must be an interview or some shortie little concert – something. But I hope it is true. Barbara needs to put duct tape around their mouths (except for food and hot tea) for a whole day of rest. Yeah, sure ! I can see that happening . That kind of teenage energy is hard to keep down

  18. hope it is REALLLY three days off Piero, Gianluca and Ignazio!! hope it will be in Costa Rica where you can be by the sea and maybe away from screaming fans for a LITTLE while. God bless you all
