I love the picture of Gianluca and that girl! There smiles are so sweet:)
She was a sweetheart. She sat right in front of me and said she saw IL VOLO the year before in OHIO and it happened to be her birthday and Gianluca sang happy birthday to her, and here she is one year later having him sing Maria to her, she’ll be a fan for life!
I am smiling because the CDs I preordered from Barnes and Noble arrived today. I thought this would come on Thursday because the release date is tomorrow. I’m not complaining, the music is beautiful, just what I expected and brought new chills moments. It’s October and I’m already listening to Christmas music because of Il Volo. I can’t listen enough. Hope you get your CDs soon.
I am smiling because I HAVE the Christmas CD AND my BRACELET for the concert and signing at the Mega Mall on Black Friday!!!!!! Yeah!!!! Having lunch with Mary B (fellow Minnesotan) tomorrow AND going to see eachother at the Mega Mall in Nov. YES!!! 🙂
I’m smiling, too, for the very same reasons….all of them. Yea!!
Because it’s IL VOLO style Christmas in October, and the angels are singing gloriously!
Hugs and smiles all around,

I’m smiling because I was at the Detroit Concert and it was wonderful! Thanks for stirring up the memories, Chris. Nice shots.
I also got my CD. Now I’ll be smiling through the season.
I’m crying because…
I Just ran across an essay by Clarissa Pinkola Estés called “Let Your Soul Light Shine Bright” (circa 2007).
She’s talking about Our Boys. Soul on Deck. Whew! Words for what I’ve felt! Here’s a passage from the site linked below.
“One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Soul on deck shines like gold in dark times. The light of the soul throws sparks, can send up flares, builds signal fires, causes proper matters to catch fire. To display the lantern of soul in shadowy times like these…. Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it. If you would help to calm the tumult, this is one of the strongest things you can do.”

Deep appreciation for our fully lit and shining angel-souls!

Now I’m smiling because
I took it one step further and put this on a web page
http://www.compassions-doorway.com/IL_VOLO_Soul_Lights_Spark_Bonfires.html
along with video clips of “Maria”, singing “Can’t Help Falling in Love” to Mia, a day in NYC, Ignazio’s RCMH message to his IL VOLO brothers, the Nobel Peace Prize concert, and their interview about the Nobel Peace Prize concert.
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Never saw the interview Jeanine, thank you. So proud of the way they answered that question and ended the interviews with their message front and center…We Are Love!
I’m with you, Lijoy! I love that interview – perfect!
~ Jeanine D.
I started looking for the clip of the boys singing Lady Gaga. I never found it but I did find these

All of which led to me “wasting” a good hour watching, laughing and reminiscing, so be warned. Watch at your own risk!
Jenny
What an awesome way to “waste time”!
Is it possible to do anything with IL VOLO that is truly wasting time?
I love when Ignazio was being made up, and then surprised his make-up person (Was that Marianna?) and cried “Acckkkhhh!” and then bust up laughing. Best part: when Barbara Vitali said, “Please get used to this” to the make-up person.
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Jenny!
And if you ever find Gianluca singing “The Edge of Glory”, let us know. (It was pulled, so I doubt there’s another copy out there.) It sure was adorable.
Must say that I also love Gianluca’s Bruno Mars and his solo (and duet with Piero) of Suit and Tie. (Don’t tell Justin Timberlake, but I think they’re better!) Wouldn’t it be cute if IL VOLO got the go-ahead to do a little Suit & Tie in their 2014 concert series? Even if only part of the song. I would totally love it! And wouldn’t they?! (; >)
Ahhhh… What a fun time!
Un beso a todas!
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Thanks Jenny!! That was an hour or so hilariously spent. Some of those I never saw before, the rest as you say were fun to reminisce. I’m all laughed out!
Penina and Jeanine – were there 12 separate videos on the link you watched? There are supposed to be but I can’t get them now. The last one is Edge of Glory. Is that the one you wanted Jeanine?http://youtu.be/I7x-qiYKKG8
Here is the link again. Hope it works this time. Jenny
Its hard for me to say how many there were. In the beginning as soon as one ended the next one started, and I didn’t catch on they were separate until after a few had gone by. the last one was only 3 + minutes. Does that help?
Hi, Jenny,
I took a break to do some work (what a concept! : ), so I haven’t seen all of the video(s) yet. Yay! Looking forward to Edge of Glory (by Lady Gaga) – this IS the one, I’m sure, that I was looking for! Woo hoo!
I haven’t been counting, as the videos stream from one into the next – very nice how that works. I’m sure all 12 are there, Jenny!
You are an audio / video whiz, Jenny! Thank you!!
Try the link, Jenny. It works. When one video finishes, it starts the next.
Havin’ fun! (oh, that’s right… back to work!)
~ Jeanine DuBois, Compassion’s Doorway
Thanks Jeanine!
Sure, Jenny! Thank YOU!
#11 has Lady Gaga’s The Edge of Glory! Don’t know how you managed it.
Now I see that when you “mouse over” the video, it shows the # / 12.
My cat came and sat on my lap during my last “video break”, and for the longest time, he had this funny cock-eyed look at me, like, What are you doing?! I’ve never seen him do that before! I had to back up the video to see what I had missed because I kept looking at him.
~ Jeanine D.
Thanks Penina!
Jeanine, you know how we are build to resonate to sound, and a “good” resonance (like me with Gianlucas low notes) triggers a release of dopamine and makes you feel good – maybe it’s the same for cats. Wouldn’t that be a hoot!
Definitely un beso a todas.
Jenny
I am so smiling, Jenny, because I work with animals (and people) and resonant energy (!).
I hadn’t thought about the specific biochemistry that’s shifting. I just observe the relaxation response.
When I played the video of Our Boys singing IL Mondo & We Are Love at the Nobel Peace Prize concert, I started to cry, feeling how many people and countries Our Guys were reaching out to in that moment, giving peace a real chance. My cat came over and literally gave me a hug at that moment. It was different than any other time he has reached out to be held or cuddled.
Another time, I was playing Emmanuel Kelly (who participated in the X Factor) singing John Lennon’s Imagine (you can search YouTube for
Emmanuel Kelly The X Factor 2011 Auditions Emmanuel Kelly FULL
and my cat Buddy kept looking at my iPhone, totally transfixed. (I Love this video. If you haven’t seen it, it’s worth your time!)
And, you might have read about Arty the cat (who was in the wild) gaining strength and support through We Are Love, and later the entire quarantine room of cats calming down when I played We Are Love.
Quite a hoot! (; >)
Thanks for your warm, creative thoughts, Jenny!

I’m smiling because I finally found an Il Volo poster to buy on eBay! 11″x17″ We Are Love Debut Album 2012 (that’s how it’s listed.) The poster itself was only $2.99 (!) shipping is $7.00 (it will come in a cardboard tube.) The seller is elhora1, and she has an excellent rating as a seller. She says she only has nine posters left, so if you want one, get to it! (There were also some autographed older posters and some autographed CDs for sale from other sellers, but you pay more for them, of course!)
