IN CASE YOU MISSED IT………..

ReportHi Everyone!

They’re finally here!! Concerts have started and everyone is doing their own private happy dance. I can just feel the excitement coming through the site!! The Guys were seriously jet lagged, I felt sorry for them! Ignazio in particular was needing his bed, poor guy.

Last night’s concert was at the Gallo Theater in Modesto, CA. By all accounts it was a sell out. I know Elaine had a great time. I probably am leaving some of you out, but you know who you are, tell us of your experience at the concert, we’ll be eager to hear it.

In spring 2001, architectural planning began to create a new community treasure, a performing arts center that promised to be one of the most important downtown projects in Stanislaus County’s history. Then in the spring of 2004 construction of a premier civic complex began in the center of this leading agricultural region. The programs at the Gallo Center for the Arts reflect the interests, diversity and history of the people that call the Central Valley their home. It is a landmark in the region for decades to come. The Gallo Center for the Arts opened in the fall 2007.
The Gallo Center for the Arts is a state-of-the-art performing arts complex in downtown Modesto. The Gallo Center for the Arts is the focus of arts, entertainment, multicultural programming and social activities for the Central Valley for generations to come.

The Gallo Center for the Arts houses two performance venues, the 1250-seat Mary Stuart Rogers Theater and the 444-seat Foster Family Theater. Each is a proscenium theater with a legitimate stage and fly loft. Both theaters have orchestra pits, stage aprons, and scene docks, and are equipped with modern audio-visual, rigging, drapery, lighting control, orchestra pit lift, and orchestra shell systems, allowing a wide range of acoustical, scenic and staging manipulation. Among their recognized works are Modesto’s Tenth Street Place, the Los Angeles Headquarters of MTA, Howard Hughes Center, Headquarters for Oakley Sunglasses and Etnies Shoes, and the Orange County Museum of Art.

Elaine says concert was wonderful AND she had a front seat. Later on we’ll ask her to recount her experiences and show a few of her pictures!!

  1. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! I NEED NEWS!!!!!!!! HOW WERE THE BOYS? DID THEY SEEM TIRED? DID ANYONE GO TO THE MEET & GREET? I HOPE THEY’RE ALRIGHT!! WHAT DID THEY SING? WERE THERE ANY NEW SONGS? DID THEY HAVE NEW SOLOS? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’VE ONLY SEEN SNIPPETS FROM MUNDIAL!!!!!

    1. I attended the concert last night at Gallo Center. The guys were fantastic. Better than ever. This was my fourth concert (Concord, LA and Miami). Il Volo has come into their own. They did not need an opening act, nor did they need the distraction of the background special effects. (Both absent) I enjoyed two hours of our talented young tenors unequalled beautiful music and unique personalities; and I left floating on a cloud.

  2. I am literally on pins and needles waiting to hear how Our Guys’ first concert was. I have exactly two weeks to go before my first concert in Milwaukee, and I just can’t wait to hear news of how it was last night. I love these three young men so much!

  3. Hi Everyone, I just know a few things. The three sang “Caruso” together. They each did 2 solos. Elaine said they looked amazing. Have to wait until Elaine can give us more information. I don’t think there were many new songs. Hold on Crew!!

  4. Elaine, I am looking forward to read your review about the yesterday concert. I/we are anxious to know the news.

  5. Gallo Center is a lovely theatre similar to the Detroit theatre they performed at for their DVD. Perfect for the pop opera style of Il Volo. A mostly mature appreciative audience was mesmerized, including many volunteer ushers who had never seen them. They were fun and professional and in great form. They each had their two solos, including 2 Elvis tunes by Gianlucca that were at least equal to the King. I was hoping for a new CD or different souvenirs but was disappointed And Ignazio had some cute sassy little dance steps making some of the girls swoon. Enjoy people. They are back better than ever!
