Linda

My Flight Crew Family,

This morning, Linda Snyder, my best friend and the smartest woman I ever knew, passed away.  She loved our Boys as much as any of us ever could.  We met because of them. December would have started our 4th year of wishing each other good morning to begin our day and Hugs at night, including last night.  Most of you “knew” her.  I loved my dear friend so much.  The world will surely miss this amazing, gentle woman.

~Marie

From a meet and greet in 2013 when Linda was too ill to attend the concert.  How appropriate:

  29. so sad to hear this news Marie. her name was one of those names I always thought off when I thought of Il Volo. I know now that they have a God-Mother in Heaven who will look after them even better than we can on earth. so happy to have known her because of three beautiful souls called Il Volo. I am sure she is going to promote them in Heaven to anyone who has not heard of them and fill Heaven with their beautiful voices. rest in peace Linda

  30. My heart is heavy. I cannot express to everyone the loss I am feeling right now. I, too, loved her dearly. She was truly a good friend.

I met Linda 2 years ago when Il Volo was coming to Miami for a concert. Everyone was talking about who was meeting up with who and when I learned Linda lived close to me, I connected with her and we went to the concert together. I’m so glad she got to see them. She sent me a card recently and in it wrote “one of the best things I ever did was call a stranger to go to a concert.” That meant the world to me when I received it, but it is more special even now,

Anyone who knows me knows that I am not a cell phone person. I text every now and then but I rarely use my phone. However, I just charged the phone last night. When I heard the news about Linda this evening, I picked up the phone to make a call and the screen that popped up was my text message and there on the screen was Linda’s last text message to me. It said “I luv you, sleep well.”

To you, Linda, I say the same: I love you, sleep well, my friend.

    1. Leelee, So sad for the great loss to you and many of her dear friends. I did not know Linda, but if I had I’m sure I would have loved her too.

  31. Dear Marie,
I’m so sorry! Just know Linda now wears the glowing wings we all occasionally hear fluttering around us. She is now a guardian angel for you, for us and for Il Volo! Grieve not! Lynn

  32. Dear Marie:
I’m so sorry for your loss of a good friend. The love you shared with her will keep her near to you always. I wish I had known her.

  33. Dear Marie, I didn’t get to meet Linda in person
but I did meet her through the Flight Crew blog.
She had such a great sense of humor and you
could feel the love she poured out to her friends
and Il Volo…….You two shared much love for
each other…..From her blogs she so wanted to
overcome her health problems and be back
active with the Flight Crew but I think now she
is feeling “fine” and enjoying her new home.
My prayer is for you and Linda’s family. God
    bless you.

  34. I am so sorry to hear this sad news. I remember the picture of Il Volo holding this sign when she could not go to a concert and thought how nice it was of you, Marie, to do this for her. I’m sure she was thrilled when she saw it. My sincere condolences to you and to her family.

  35. Marie, I’m so sorry to here of Linda’s passing. I know that the two of you were close. I really didn’t know her, but did send her a few things in the mail. I’m sorry also for the loss you must be feeling.
