Of course, the ultimate goal is here instead right?

So……here are some suggestions that could help.  Great for the night before “THE NIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS” eve. Huh?  Whenever is good too!     #1 A warm cup of tea, cocoa, cider, or your choice, hummm!   #2 Pull on some warm footies.  #3 Grab a fuzzy lap blanket, a comfy chair or sofa, and sit yourself down!  (Preferably in front of a fire, but on a sofa will do nicely as well).  Good, now just take a deep breath,… or several.  NICE!

Next, since you can’t frown and smile at the same time, I don’t think, here are a couple of cute things to bring on that smile, and begin to address the stress. (Hey, it rhymes.)

Now, I found this video.  It’s very informative, and entertaining.  Christmas Traditions elsewhere, including Italy, (of course).

Okay, it’s time for music!  A little nostalgia for Christmas?  Enjoy!

Now our guys.  A little while back, but beautiful.  Watch each of them closely. This is one of my favorites because of their intensity, and the very apparent inner respect with which they regard each other.

Hope this has allowed the beauty of what Christmas is meant to be, to shine bright, and bring you peace.  Now it’s time to wish you a very joyous, yet thoughtful……

I do have one more thing to share.  I wrote this in December 1970.  It is one of my very first attempts at writing poetry.  Hope you like it.

A Christmas card felt sad the day that she was picked to bring,
her Christmas greeting, warm and true, fore she wished that she could sing.
Just like a dove in early morn, a song so sweet and clear,
announcing to a waking world, a bright new day is here.
She wished she could express the thoughts, behind her printed words,
and feel the gratefulness that’s felt, but of course, that was absured!
No, she would simply have to make the best of what she had,
for after all, to bring some joy, was certainly not bad.
She knows the one receiving it, will feel within their heart,
the glowing warmth, her message has endeavored to impart.
And even though it’s Christmas, a time so very dear,
her wishes are sincerely wished, each day throughout the year.

Wishing you peace, love and joy and blessings, as always,  KITTY

  1. Kitty, very cheerful and nice is your post. 🙂 Your Christmas Wishes poetry is lovely, there is joy, but also nostalgia, with a positive and wonderful idea. 🙂 You’re very talented, and you have a poetic soul.
    W. C. Jones said :”The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each other’s’ burdens, easing other’s loads and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gifts becomes for us the magic of Christmas.” Taylor Caldwell said: “This is the message of Christmas: We are never alone.” I wish you lot of beautiful moments with your dear ones, lot of love, health, happiness, God’s blessings and may all your wishes come true in New Year. From my whole heart I wish you a Merry Christmas, and to all of us I wish that we take care not only of ourselves , but mainly of others, who are close to our hearts. 🙂 Happy holidays ! <3 <3 <3

  2. The Assisi concert brought me to tears. I just love your postings. To you and all of Il Volo Flight Crew…Merry Christmas and Healthy New Year.

  3. Thank you for this beautiful post. The videos were outstanding. Placido’s Silent Night was breathtaking. Andrea’s O Holy Night was gorgeous. And of course Il Volo’s performance at Assisi was perfection at it’s highest. Christmas Blessings to everyone!

  4. Hi Kitty! Thank you for the beautiful post. I don’t know if you will remember me, my 94 yr. old Mom with dementia loved Il Volo and I would play her favorite songs, like O Sole Mio every night for her. You mentioned us in your “Smile” post a while back and I just wanted you to know that my Mom passed away on December 8th. She loved music and I mentioned her love of Il Volo in her eulogy and on the way out of church the organist played O Sole Mio. Christmas will be different for us this year but I am glad Mom is at peace. Thank you again Kitty. I hope you have a Merry Christmas.

  5. Thank you Kitty those videos were very entertaining especially Il Volo videos.I am looking forward to Las Vegas & hopefuly we can get pictures of all of us together with the Il Volo guys in front of course & not behind everyone.
I wish a fabulous Merry Christmas for everyone on the bog & also a Happy New Year & that 2016 is a healthy year & that successfully abounds for all.

  6. Thank you Kitty for reminding us of the true meaning of Christmas and for all the wonderful videos. I especially love to watch Il Volo’s beautiful Christmas concert from Assisi. Merry Christmas to the Flight Crew and everyone and best wishes for a New Year filled with peace and good health!

  7. Mary Bukosky, of course I remember you! Your comment about your Mom stuck with me, then prompted my using it in one of my earlier postings, and I’m so happy to hear from you again. I’m so sorry to hear about your Mom’s passing, but I know that our guys of Il Volo, unknowingly, played a big part in bringing her comfort in her final years. They would be so touched to know that. When I meet them in March, here in Arizona, I want to be sure to relay to them your story. Nice to see you here again. Even though different, please have a blessed Christmas, and New Year.

  8. Lovely, lovely post. Thank you for including their Assisi concert. What a Gem that one is! Having been to Assisi back in 2003 I can truly imagine myself there again. It was a very holy place for me. Hearing Il Volo sing those wonderful songs would have just sent me into raptures. The best I can offer at this point is I promise when I go to work tomorrow I shall enter the Church, light a candle and pray for all of you and three young men. Blessings to all and may you have a Blessed Christmas and New Year.

  9. Wonderful, Kitty!

For starters, my orange tabby cuddled up in my arms and purred and let me hug him through most of the Assisi concert! I LOVE this concert so much! I well remember crying the first time I watched it.

~ the loving focused hearts supporting their IL VOLO brothers
~ smiles between Arisa and Gianluca
~ Happy Christmas / War Is Over (This, I choose! Thank you, John Lennon!)

Today wouldn’t be Christmas without IL VOLO in Assisi!

    Love and peace,
