Merry Christmas from the Flight Crew!

And behold, Christmas time has come again this year.
Despite all the problems due to the pandemic, for better or for worse, the year has passed.
So, here we are exchanging the best wishes !!

We thought we had already passed the period of the pandemic which, unfortunately, has taken away many loved ones from us.
But instead, here we are again, fighting, but we will win, we must be positive and we will do it !!
Many concerts await us, many opportunities to meet, get to know each other, listen to melodious voices.
Piero, Ignazio and Gianluca will lighten our days and we will fly with them.

So to all our readers, to all the crew a big wish from the bottom of the heart:

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Jana, Pat, Daniela, Susan, JoAnn, Daniela Ci and Kelly

and of course a kiss from:

Gianluca, Piero and Ignazio ❤❤❤

Meanwhile, let’s re-look at their beautiful performance, on the night of Christmas Eve from St. Peter’s Square in Rome in 2020.

Il Volo, last Sunday, was a guest on Domenica In, a Rai 1 program, where he sang E PIÙ TI PENSO, dedicated to the actress Monica Bellucci who played Malena in the film.
Here is the video of their speech.

Il Volo, tonight after the Pope’s Mass, (h.21,20 Italian time) will sing from the Frasassi Caves: O Holy Night and on Sunday 26  will be a guest again on Domenica In for a long television intervention.

See you soon! 😘🤗

  1. To all Flight Crew editors “Family “Members and Fans

Proud to be part of the Family!!

  2. I was confused about the mention of Malena. E Piu ti Penso was Deborah’s theme in Once Upon a Time in America. It was played every time she appeared on the screen.
For the Downton Abbey fans out there Deborah was played by Elizabeth McGovern.

    1. Gail, “E più ti penso”, is a collage between Once upon a time in America (Deborah’s theme), and Malena, that’s why it recalls both one and the other film.
      Merry Christmas!!

  3. Thank you so much for blessing us on Christmas Eve! I can’r begin to tell you how much this meant to me as I had not ever heard it before! Merry Christmas to all of you and may God Bless your path ahead in the new year!!!

    1. I have had you on my mind all day Dolores. According to WHO the new variant is not as bad as the Delta one, but as it is still early days, we have to be patient.

A friend of mine is booked to see Andre Rieu in April. It has been cancelled three times since she booked the year before last as a birthday present for her hubby. Apparently he managed four concerts this year, normally we are talking 100+.

      Buon Natale hugs Roz xxx

  6. Buon Natale to the wonderful Flight Crew and all the Il Volo fans! Thanks for the special Christmas post (beautiful layout, Pat), and I have to say I’d love to have those ornaments on my Christmas tree!!

  7. Thank you to you all for all the wonderful stories and the translations of many interviews. Merry Christmas to all the Flight Crew and especially Gianluca, Ignazio and Piero, may your Christmas be full of happiness, good health and especially safety. Sending you all blessings from Melbourne Australia

  8. Merry Christmas and great love to all the Flight Crew contributors who have made our lives better while isolated and kept the love of Il Volo available to us. Especially for me because I only understand English. You all have given me so much Il Volo pleasure. Also, Merry Christmas to my fellow Il Volovers. I look forward to more sharing and some actual meeting now that Il Volo can come to us again.

  9. Merry Christmas to all the ladies of the flight crew. Thank you for everything you do for us all year long. It is greatly appreciated. Merry Christmas to all the fans and to our special young men. May everyone have a happy, safe and healthy New year.

  10. To All Flight Crew and Visitors, Have Yourselves a Merry
Little Christmas. Stay safe so we can all attend our
tour dates of choice. Make 2022 the year the Wait is Over.

    1. The same to you Martha. Fingers crossed that 2022 will be a better year. ‘Himself’ was asking me earlier today if I fancied our usual May week in Carlisle, or June. I don’t really care which, just to be able to go somewhere would be a start. A week in York, or even a day trip to Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds would be a start.

      Hugs Roz xxx

  11. A very Merry Christmas to all Flight Crew members and a special thank you to all of you who work so tirelessly to give us this lovely place to visit and share our love for Piero, Ignazia and Gianluca. Thank you for again posting their beautiful performance Christmas Eve, 2020 in St. Peter’s Square!

  12. Merry Christmas, a Happy Healthy New Year and a big Thank You to all the hard-working Crew members and their loyal passengers. Let’s hope we all land safely at a concert in 2022. By the way, I would buy those ornaments for my tree too!

  13. It just occurred to me….the dates in this posting, does this mean that the guys didn’t get to spend Christmas with their families? I know how much that means to them. Is it possible with these engagements that they can manage to get home?

  14. Thank you for your holiday wishes and for the videos. Buon Natale to each of you and thank you too for all you do throughout the year to keep us connected and up-to-date on the activities of our guys. Wishing you a safe and happy holiday season.
